"Nice Hotel Overall!"

This is in walking distance to the south end but not much esle. Nice to have the convention center attached as we were able to catch the car show which was a nice plus. The doors in the hotel though do bang loudly when they close and did wake me at night. The bath was wonderful and the bar in lobby was really great and very pleasant staff and bartender. We paid extra for city view but the convention center building really blocked it so I don't think it was worth the upgrade. Really nice overall though.

The Hotel Westin was a 30 minute walk from Boston and in a quiet location compared to staying in the middle of Boston. (Not sure how quiet it would be when a conference is held in the conference centre next door) Hotel Room was spacious and clean. Restaurant and bar facilites expensive. Not a wide choice of places to eat around area. The hotel was great if you do not mind walking to and from Boston, and that includes walking into Boston for Breakfast. If you require a car the cost of parking is $42.00 per day valet parking. Expensive for car parking. Great place to stay if you do not mind walking or the expense of a taxi

The comfort of the hotel was just fine. All the staff were very pleasant. Boston mass transit line within a 5 minute walk (or less). Nice pool and workout facilities. Irish restaurant had pretty good food at not so bad prices. My complaints: they nickel and dime you for everything extra; items that most hotels give for free, like internet access, refrigerator, etc. They have you "trapped" (not much nearby) A coke in the gift shop was nearly 3 bucks (no vending machines). Overall, fine for business travelers who can expense those little items, but they add up for the vacationers.

out of value="5"Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I would like to point out that although there is a charge for internet access in the guest rooms, we do have free wireless internet access in the lobby of the hotel and we do not charge for refrigerators. There are also at least a dozen restaurants within walking distance and the South Station T stop is just a 10 minute walk from the hotel which allows you to enjoy all things Boston for conventioneers and tourists alike!

We were pleased to stay at this hotel. We stayed here while riding the 2009 Hub on Wheels. The accommodations were great and we had no complaints. We were very pleased that the hotel sponsored a group of employees to ride the Hub on Wheels. The shirts were great for team Westin. We enjoyed the ride to the start line with the staff. It is always great to stay at a location that supports their staff and community. We will be back next year! Hats off to the Westin.

The hotel is currently in an isolated location that has not been built up yet. Therefore, there are no restaurants in the surrounding area. The only one in the hotel was only open for breakfast and dinner. The pub next door was noisy. Because the hotel is attached to the new convention center, their reataurant was unable to handle the number of people who wanted to eat there each day.

Outstanding service, friendly and helpful. Usual heavenly mattress but none of the usual soft sheets that make the Westin bed such a truly heavenly nest. Great climate control, lots of toiletries available. Towels thick, room clean, very nice furnishings, lobby, etc. Nice pool, jaccuzi, workout room. Very close to T stop and attached to the conference center (nice in bad weather), also reasonable walk along boardwalk to aquarium. Hard to go on from there and walk to sites, shops, dining, you really need to learn the trains or have money for cabs (you have to be crazy to drive). Can take train right to airport.

Though next to the convention center and advertised as a business hotel, the hotel charges for internet access. The desk chair does not provide adequate support (not designed for any significant sitting) and, the room did not include a table. Over all, the hotel compairs with others that charge a fraction of what this hotel charges and, often provide more ammenities. The beds were very comfortable.

We were so dissatisfied we checke dout of the hotel 4 hours after our arrival and went home. This would be a good hotel if you like to be near nothing.

My only complaint is unfair - it's adjacent to the Boston Convention Center. If you're there for a convention then it's a great location - otherwise, this is off the beaten path and is probably too far to walk to downtown for most people. I was there overnight with my family on the way from NY to Maine and we had a great stay - we walked to the Children's Museum (which the hotel is reasonably close to) and had a great morning. The staff was supremely pleasant and showered attention on my boys, which they loved. Nice room, great pool that's open until late. The two hotel restaurants we went to were OK but pricey - this is pretty much true of all hotel restaurants, but because the hotel is rather remote these are likely your only choices for dining, so factor that in as well.

Great hotel overall. Location is what it is. Westin prides itself on their comfortable beds and did not disappoint. HOWEVER, no matter how comfortable the bed, if you're woken up by every door closing and opening down the hallway, you won't get a good night's sleep! They need to make sure their doors can't be slammed and probably should replace the doors all together with more sound insulated ones. In a truly great hotel you enter your room and feel silence and sanctuary. Unfortunately, that's not the case here.

My stay at the Westin was what I expected. What I did not expect was what the hotel did not inform me of and what was taken from my bank account. At no time did the hotel inform me that a $100 deposit was needed on top of the fee that I paid through hotels.com. At the time of check in they asked to take a copy of the card I used to pay for the room, which was fine with me. What they did not tell me was that they charged my card $100 in case of any charges that I may have put on the room. I used a debit card, so for 5 business days the $100 dollars was taken from my account and then returned. If I had known this was the case I would have gave a credit card for this, they caused my checking account to go into the negative and for me to have charges for over-draft fees on my bank account. I wrote them an email informing them of this , and they did not so much as even send an apology via email to me for the inconvenience that they caused I was very disappointed and will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

The Westin Waterfront was quite nice in many ways - good service, comfy bed, very clean, nice bathroom - but it was so isolated. In order to get to anything interesting, we needed to transfer twice on the T or take a cab. While that wasn't a deal breaker, other hotels in the Boston area were comparably priced and much more central. So overall I'd recommend the place, but it isn't my first choice.
