"A wonderful stay at the Hilton"
We stayed in the hotel after a concert. We booked the wrong night and hotel were absolutley brilliant in accomodating our mistake. The staff were very efficient and couldnt do enough to help us. The room was clean and airy. The only thing I would say was that there were not enough staff on the bar in the afternoon. We had to wait ages for drinks.

"Gone downhill"
The bed must have been really old or well used as every time you moved the springs creaked which made for a disturbing nights sleep Breakfast and they didn't even have any muesli - asked the waiter and he didn't even know what muesli was. Another guest said they had run out a couple of days ago and not bothered to replenish it. He said he had experienced the same thing with some other items. Stayed here in the past but think it has gone downhill

"Monday in Manchester's Hilton Hotel"
Hotel and pool were lovely service and staff friendly and efficient. We felt the lighting was very dark in the down stairs bar and breakfast service area which gave a gloomy atmosphere. Needs to be brighter. The sandwiches weordered on arrival had slightly crusted bread it tasted like they had been left oout uncovered and was not fresh. we ate them though as we were hungry and had had a long day. The could have been presented better also with the crusts off. The Tomoto soup tasted nice but was luke warm which was disappointing. We enjoyed the swimming pool and spa/ sauna and the bedroom was great. Also enjoyed our visit to cloud 23. The Breakfast was lovely but like we mentioned above needs to be brighter in there. We went out for a meal at the Spanish wine bar Evuna which was fab -Sangria and Paella loved it.

"An exceptional hotel!"
From stepping in through the door to leaving the service was exceptional, attentive without being obtrusive. A warm welcome was received from the Doorman, who remained a mine of useful information throughout. The delightful young lady on Reception, on learning of our special celebration, immediately offered the facilities of the Executive Lounge - much appreciated. Our room, on the eighth floor, was very comfortable and had an excellent view along Deansgate towards the city centre. A visit to this hotel, within the Beecham Tower, is an experience in itself.

"Great hotel but get rid of the feathers."
Great stay, very courteous staff, but would wish the Hilton chain would stop using feather pillows/duvets etc, my wife has a strong allergic reaction to them and we have to get the bedding changed. Feathers seem a little dated also. Overall a very pleasant stay.

"Dated, dark and noisy room!"
We booked in for one night as a 'treat' (and wish we hadnt bothered). On arrival, the reception area looked ok. When we checked in, we were told we'd booked a disabled room via expedia (we didnt think so but agreed our room could be changed to another one. It was dated 70's came to mind with a cheap looking velour throw on the bed that didnt match anything rlse in the room, the bed was rickety and squeeked, and there was only one towel in the bathroom to share! The room and bathroom were dark with not enough light to do my make up and it was so noisy from the ventilators outside that we couldnt sleep. There was a bottle of water in the room that said 'rehydrate yourself' - we thought a 'luxury hotel' would have this as a little extra....but when we looked closer and read it, it was £3.95! Terrible stay and definitely wouldnt go again. Steer clear!

"overrated hotel"
i can't really complain about the hotel but in my opinion you're paying for the name of the hotel not how amazing the rooms are. We were on the 5th floor and the view was rubbish so unless you're staying higher up you're not getting a great view to acknowledge the price. I've stayed in other hotels in Manchester that are cheaper and nicer rooms

"Perfect Stay!"
Went away for 2 nights for a valentine getaway, hotel was perfect! Booked the standard double but being a silver Hilton Honors member, I was upgraded to the Executive Room with access to the Executive Lounge! Enjoyed on the house canopies and drinks along with a great view. Only downfall for me was that no Mushrooms were served at breakfast and I love my mushrooms!

"Nice, but no preferential entrance to Cloud 23 Bar"
Nice Hotel, but left a bitter taste as we wanted to drink with fellow guest/friends in the Cloud 23 bar and had to queue with the general public over 30 mins before we gave up. I would expect staying at The Hilton, and paying Hilton money would at least qualify us to have a slight advantage over joe public coming in wanting to use the facilities. But no.

I had a really good time at hilton deansgate due to the facilities they offer and obviously cloud23.. The views up there are amazing. The room was good but the beds on the other hand are disgraceful, not comfy what so ever.

"Really nice relaxing hotel"
Stayed at the Hilton for my wife's 40th. Great location in the centre of town. Staff excellent. Swimming pool is a good size and hardly used. The hotel has a really nice relaxed feel. Two pieces of advice: 1)keep an eye on the Expedia prices after booking. It dropped by £40 in a month. Claimed back the difference with Expedia best price guarantee. 2) it's possible to book in advance for the Cloud bar. There's no preferential treatment for hotel guests and it'll save you queuing for 40 mins. Oh, and buy your bubbly in the Sainsburys local up the road. Ice bucket and ice available in your room and significantly cheaper than the hotel! Would strongly recommend this hotel.

"Enjoyed our one night stay"
Stayed for one night to go to a concert. The room was clean and well organised, with a great view over Manchester. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom well appointed. All of the staff we met around the hotel were friendly and efficient. We parked in the NCP opposite and claimed the discount on the ticket from the hotel. The car park is big, so go through the ticket barrier immediately on the left as turning into it to park at the hotel end (we passed it before noticing it). There is a large cinema complex in the car park and several bars and restaurants in the area. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

"Room with a view!"
Overnight Luxury...just what was needed! Great Views. Welcoming and helpful staff. Only disappointment was the standing in the queue for Cloud 23 for almost 90mins from 6.45pm. :-/ Although once up there ,staff acknowledge our lengthy wait and took 23% off our drinks bill :-)

great hotel. The only problem was that the air conditioning didn't seem to be working and the room was cold. Also one of the treadmills in the gym wasn't working so there was always a long queue for the treadmill.

"Nice hotel, shame about creaking walls."
We stayed in an Executive Room for one night on Friday the 9th of January. The staff were friendly when checking in. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable, it was spacious but not huge and the views from the window were fantastic. Unfortunately we had very little sleep in that comfy bed due to the fact the walls of this hotel creak in the wind. While it was a windy night I find it unacceptable that a building used for a hotel should have such a glaringly obvious flaw. After all sleeping is the main use of a hotel is it not? When we complained to the hotel the staff they were very short with us we were simply told that all the rooms do this and they are not responsible for the weather, because of this were were not entitled to any discount or recompense. When we asked if we could discuss it with managent we were simply told 'no'. For this reason I cannot rate the hotel highly, for the price I expect a lot better.

"Would stay here again"
I chose to stay here for my boyfriends birtday. It was lovely, check ij took less than 5 minutes and we were done. The room was lovely and spaceous!! The only few things that let it down was not being able to open windows (but thats me being picky) & the lighting in the room was poor... But otherthan that i would definately stay again :)

I have stayed at the hotel many times over the past 7 years!!! The Hilton hotel has now become very tired and worn, the staff were very friendly. Our room wasn't very clean, dusty and dirty floor in the bathroom. There was no remote control, it took over an hour for one to be delivered to the room. We used the spa facilities/fitness area, the treatments were excellent, however this is a separate company!!! the toilets were dirty and un clean, we also visited cloud 23. as we were there for the night for our wedding anniversary, the prices had increased from our last visit, however I don't mind paying for quality but again this was sub standard, the toilets again were very dirty, very slow service and one of the drinks I ordered it took 10 min before the waitress informed me that they didn't have one of the spirits in stock!!! I appreciate that the Hilton isn't a 5 star hotel, but when you have paid £129 for a room and paying on average £10 per drink you expect better, the hotel was 3 star hotel at best. and to complete the poor experience we were given a disabled room, which I would have no issue with but neither me or my wife are disabled, so it seemed very strange that we had been given this room, the room has been re designed and poorly tiled to make the room a disabled room as an after thought,which also had a leaking shower which if we were disabled could have been a bigger issue!!!!

Disappointing stay to be honest, paid extra for executive room but nothing executive about furnishing quite tired looking and the room was really cold, it took all evening for it to warm up. We went to look at pool area, not sufficient size for the size and occupancy of the hotel I think really they would of been better just extending the gym or spa area as only suitable for approx. 5 people at once doing lengths. Went to executive lounge for canapes and drinks before going out for dinner at 9.15pm, the executive lounge was really cold apparently something was wrong with the air conditioning (still the same the following morning for breakfast in there). Advertised as house spirits available but on request no white rum, I was directed through to Cloud 23 to purchase at an additional cost a white rum & coke which they neither had (only dark rum @ £7.00 a shot). The canapes were not replenished regularly so very little choice and looked messy. The glasses were not cleaned and replenished so only wine glasses available for any type of drink (if you could find one) Overall disappointing stay and would definitely try one of the other 50 + hotels in Manchester city centre when we next stay this was meant to of been our Christmas treat to one another.

"Expensive as you'd expect but nothing special"
Romantic weekend away to visit Xmas markets. Only stayed the one night at a cost of around £220. Must say, the cost was quite high so expectations were placed accordingly. I was a little disappointed overall, when I got to the hotel there was a queue to checkin but even when at the front of the queue, staff took a while to acknowledge us waiting and seemed preoccupied with other business. The room was fairly standard though for some reason we got a disabled room which whilst wasn't a problem in the main did mean when we showered we effectively soaked the entire bathroom which in turn didn't make it too appealing a prospect for the second person (luckily that second person wasn't me but my wife;-). The mini bar was half stocked, assumed it would be filled later but that didn't happen - wasn't a problem really as we only had one beer from it ....... though having not seen the final invoice as yet I'd be interested to see if they've charged us for more!! (should be sent through the post) If we'd both wanted a can of coke though, we'd struggle. It is 'party season' so the hotel was very busy however bar service was great - punctual and efficient, it great when bar staff actually pay attention to who's next and not rely on peoples manner to correct them when they get it wrong! It would be good as a resident of the hotel to be able to get some priority pass into the skyline bar rather than queue as the queues were very large. Basically, very average for the money.

"Overnight Break"
Short trip Manchester to see game in old Trafford, I cannot fault the staff, my wedding ring fell down the sink and when I ran down to reception we were promptly attended to by 2 very helpful staff with a successful outcome. Thanks to those 2 staff for coming to my rescue. The only negative was the strange smell in the room for a short period of time, which I can only explain similar to sewerage, it disappeared after about an hour.. Great location The staff in podium bar were very slow and didn't see an urgency with queue which was forming. Relaxing bar otherwise.
