Overall, we were pleased with our stay. The only drawbacks were that when we first entered the room there was an unpleasant stinch. We sprayed some Lysol and that helped some. Also, there was no ironing board in the room. We had to go out and buy batteries for the remote control because they were dead and the alarm clock did not work. And lastly, on our last night there, we called for more towels. After about 30 minutes someone called from the front desk and said that housekeeping had already left for the day and that we would have to come over and pick them up. Mind you, the office that the reservations were booked through is not associated with the actual resort and is located across the highway about 5 minutes away. So when my fiance gets there, they tell him that they were all out of face towels. Not only that, but there was no washer/dryer at the resort. That was a big inconvience. But overall, we did enjoy staying at the resort.

This place was great. The pictures don't do it ANY justice. I was shocked when I pulled over the Intracoastal Waterway, and saw Barefoot in the distance. Our room was ground level and at first I was sad, but it was perfect. Our balcony opened onto a grassy lawn that connected to the pool, and it was close to the Docksiders restaurant. Docksider's grill on the property was awesome. The staff was great and they had half price appetizers and super cheap beer and cocktails at happy hour. Food was superb, and the setting overlooking the boat docks was great. Fireworks shot off from Barefoot Landing across the waterway on Sat. night. Every room at the resort had a front seat view with a reflection over the waterway! The mood at the hotel was quiet and relaxed (even on Labor day weekend) The pool was not crowded at all. The boat docks were beautiful. If you have a boat, I think overnight boat slip space was $1.50 per foot. (not bad) The room was clean and had a large bathroom with a huge garden tub, and an all glass walk in shower with room for two. House of Blues and Barefoot Landing is only walking distance and there were quite a few bars and restaurants around walking distance if you like to drink. Public beach access was not walking distance if you carry a lot, but was within a 2 minutes drive. The Greg Norman restaurant was phenomenal. The lobster BLT hit the spot. The only thing you should know is that the property is managed by a few different companies, so be sure you know where to check in if you booked through hotels.com. Our check in was a block or so down Hwy 17. You should also bring extra towels, as a few of the property management companies don't service the room daily (more like a condo rental than a hotel.) The ice machine is on the third floor. Some of the cheaper rooms don't have a fridge so bring a cooler if you booked a standard room. I'm sure a picky person could find something wrong at this place, but if you want a fun, safe, quiet place to sta

There is a cover that looks like a comforter on top but upon inspection the "comforter" is sewn on to a fake bed skirt and isn't meant to be used as a blanket. On top of that, the beds weren't that comfortable. Everything but that was amazing!

We have two young children and I was able to call and ask if they can move the beds so they were against the wall they had no problem doing that. We were only about 4-10min away from the beach which was great, also every thing was with in 30 min or less to get to. The only neg. about this villa was the King size bed. My wife and I stayed here June 27-July 5th 2009. We brought our own sheets towels etc. We had a little trouble finding the check-in place (but we called and they talked us in (Beach Vacations)). Also, we locked out selves out and luckily they showed up in 15-20 min to let us in (on July 4th). We were in The Havens 612 (2 bedrooms , 2 full baths). The location, space and unit were perfect for our needs. We cooked dinned 6 nights / 8 nights in the condo and made breakfact/lunch as well. We liked being on the first floor and across from the pool. There is a shuttle 4 times a day to the beach (about 3-4 miles away from our unit but there are 3000 homes/condos in the resort and we wree in pretty deep). Our only real complaint was the comfort of the bed. We are a bit spoiled with our bed at home, but I am just surprised that people don't buy nicer beds for their vacation condos. This is typical for rentals and each unit is individually owned and others could have better beds. It was great having the full kitchen, we had a nice lake behind our unit with a fountain and a duck famuly we feed bread to. The pool was nice, but there were little kids in it past midnight some times. People brought coolers to the pool and there wasn't a lifeguard. The fireworks display was great and we enjoyed being on the deck of the resort Bar (near Marina). Good drink specials and venue (we didnt eat though). One day we rented a pontoon boat (about 12 miles north on 17), seats up to 15 and toured the intercoastal waterway. Great excusion. If you don't want a maid, want a full kitchen, don't mind taking your trash to the dumspter and don't care if you are a few miles from the beach, this is a great deal. We would even seriously consider buying a condo here one day.

Spent the first night sweating in an 85 degree bedroom. The pictures on the web are not accurate. Only one master bedroom was NICE and ROOMY. The service at the front desk was not friendly. On the website to this resort it says that there is a shuttle to the beach, and cabana's to rent...NO This is only to the HOMEOWNERS, not RENTERS. The shuttle stops for an hour and a half during lunch. As far as the onsite pools,,,there is only one, there is no swim-up bar. The onsite Docksider's Restaurant service was horrible. With a party of 16, we were there for 2 1/2 hours. The first 30 minutes we didn't even see our drinks which consisted of waters and tea's. Received no discount for poor service. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa. Although the villa did not look like the pictures on the website, it was still very clean and roomy. The full size kitchen and washer & dryer in the villa were a plus. We also had a great view of the golf course and a screened in deck. Negatives: 1.There was not enough bedding for the pull out sofa, so it would have been nice if I had brought some linen from home. 2.The "king" sized bed was more like two twins put together (big headboard, but split down the middle). 3. There was also no internet connection or a place for my husband to workout. 4. All the pools were out doors, so we were unable to swim on rainy days. So if you're used to being spoiled by the amenities of a larger hotel, this might not be the place for you. However, it may be good for larger families or multiple families traveling together. Just remember to pack things like hair dryer, extra bedding, movies, laundry detergent, etc. One good thing, if you forget something you need, a grocery store is just a short car drive away.
