The Hotel needs some repairs. The price is good for the area and the people working there are very helpful and friendly. The Hotel sets back a few blocks from the main square, and for some people that may be more then they would like. But I found it convenient both in hotel cost and people watching.

The hotel is great for budget travelers - good clean rooms with everything you need. Our bathroom was a bid run down - the toilet wouldn't stop flushing properly (but was easy to fix), the sink was dripping to all sides when water was running, there was a bit of rust in the showers, but nothing that would scare me off from using the hotel again. The lobby smelled much like the cleaner they seem to be using - not very pleasant, but I'd rather have a place that smells clean than one that looks dirty ;) (and it was really clean!). Wifi was a bit slow, but worked flawlessly. Parking lot, right next to the hotel was big enough to fit many more cars, and there was always a guard on duty (at least from what we could tell). The hotel was great but front desk workers were not the best. They even checked us out of our room 3 days early putting the blame on expedia. They checked us into the same room with no problem. I stayed here for a really good deal. But I know where they make their $. The hotel clerk told me in order to make a call ( local) they would have to charge me. I asked her to dial for me and she looked at the number and said that since it was a cell phone she would have to charge me more then she said for the first quote. I also asked about making […] a long distance call and she said to give her a 20$ us deposit. I did. I was told that the phone would not allow me to go over the deposit time i paid for. I went to my room tried to make the call, kept getting a busy signal. I tried several times without even a ring and called the front desk. They said I had to pay them 50$. I told them I made the deposit and never got a phone call. asked to talk to manager, they would not let me. The next day was chek out and I asked to speak to manager again. they refused and foreced me to pay a ton of $ for nothing, which in the U.S. is wrong. But maybe not in Mexico. Read more

The rooms are located on the outside of the building so you can hear all kinds of noises, specially the swimming pool noise. you can hear the kitchen and the people walking on the halls. The reception area is Nice but does not reflect the same of the other areas. hotel is really more a 2 star.

Booked a king bed through Expedia, was given a twin room, asked to be moved and there weren't any available until we persisted then one magically appeared!! Room full of mosquitoes, the room was also very noisy!! On the plus side the bed was comfy.

Very noisy, a loud generator buzzes all night but also all noise from the cleaners and other guests in the hallway is massively magnified by the tiled floor. We stayed at this hotel from June 13-15/11, the location to the Zocolo is excellent, just 3 blocks. The staff at the front desk and lobby were very helpful and friendly. El hotel es muy económico, efectivamente está muy cerca del centro. El personal del restaurant es muy muy amable. Fuera del restaurant 1 o 2 son muy amables, el resto fueron desagradables, no te pueden ayudar con nada e incluso uno llegó a ser grosero. El olor del elevador es en extremo desagradable e insalubre, suena que tiene agua estancada desde […] hace mucho tiempo. El aire acondicionado del cuarto huele excesivamente a hongos y humedad, fue imposible usarlo. La habitación está muy limpia y las camas parecen también estar muy limpias, pero el baño está muy descuidado y la regadera es un asco, lleno de hongos. Un plus: Cuenta con caja fuerte. Las ventanas son amplias y permiten un buen paso de luz y de ventilación pero en la noche son una pesadilla, pasa mucho tránsito y aún estando completamente cerradas no existe aislamiento de sonido, pasan muchos camiones y es difícil dormir. De igual manera la privacidad sonora de los cuartos no es buena, se escuchaban los ronquidos del señor del cuarto de la izquierda y la mamá con los niños del cuarto de la derecha. El tamaño del televisor es decente: 32 pulgadas pero la instalación de televisión por cable es deficiente. La comida del restaurant es regular, decente, tal vez un poco cara. Para el precio de algunos platillos uno no esperaría encontrar elementos de comida congelada pre-cocida. Sería un buen hotel si eliminan el personal grosero, arreglan los baños y eliminan los fétidos olores del aire acondicionado y elevador. Read more
