"Great 2 night stay."
They have a free safe parking lot which is a huge plus compared with other French quarter hotels. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I felt very comfortable. It is within walking distance to everything. Unfortunately, I sprained my foot during my stay while walking, and they let me use their ice packs. I would highly recommend this hotel and will […] stay here on my next visit. The croissant, fruit, juice, and coffee breakfast is very nice. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice Friendly Hotel for Everyone"
Stayed at this hotel in the past. Alvin and Ray are great hosts and make the stay feel like home. The new young staff are a great fit for the hotel. A short walk to the heart of the French Quarter. Free parking! Try finding that at your other hotels near the Quarter. If you are looking for a bar, pool and noise this is not the place. However, if you […] you are looking for a clean, friendly and affortable stay in New Orleans this is it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Charming, Friendly and Safe!"
My wife and I ran down for a extended weekend stay. NOGH was perfect for our visit! Within a safe walking distance of the Quarter, we had no troubles during the day nor at two AM, getting to and from. The staff were always available and extremely helpful in directing us to restaurants and other fun spots throughout the city. Our car was safely and FREELY […] parked in the NOGH's private parking lot. The room was basic and clean - all you need for New Orleans - if looking to stay in your room other than to sleep then you are in the wrong city. Glad we found NOGH and will stay here again! Our stay at the New Orleans Guest House was very nice! Everyone was wonderful, and we enjoyed the casual, friendly atmosphere. We were very happy to be close (but not too close) to all of the action. It was a fantastic experience!Genuine Expedia guest review

"Loved this Hotel and the owners are great....."
Great place to stay. Quiet... Away from all the rowdy folks on Bourbon Street; but close enough to walk to all the rowdiness and good restaurants. Loved the balcony!!! The kitties, Stanley and Stella are sweet and friendly but not bothersome at all. The owners are very helpful and accomodating. We met other quests that were from North Carolina and they […] were great to visit with. We will definetly stay there on future visits to NOLA. We love older Boutique Hotels and this building is 200 years old. Fresh flowers on the tables in the courtyard are a plus; freshly cut fruit and warm crossiants for breakfast!! Far better than a commercially wrapped sweet roll or boxed cereal also known as continential breakfast!!! LOVED it all and enjoyed our stay! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great Service - Super Nice"
I had a great time staying at this guest house. Located in a quiet area yet walking distance to bourbon street, Frenchman street, and french quarter. The service was exceptional and they were very helpful and accommodating for any of my needs. I would stay here again and would reccomend my friends and family to also stay here. "1 block from the French Quarter"
the Bed and Breakfast was very easy to spot being bright pink in color. It has a lot of New Orleans charm so do not expect a luxury hotel. The rooms are small but full of beautiful knick knacks that makes you feel like you are visiting a friend. The owners are always present and very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is in their beautiful courtyard and […] consisted of a buttery hot croissant and fresh fruit and juice along with delicious coffee. I would stay there again anytime. "Great rustic B&B"
OK, if you’re looking for a modern “chain” to stay at with all the amenities, this will not be it. The house was build over 150 years ago! About half of the rooms are in the old slave quarters. However, if you want to be in the center of all going-ons while enjoying quiet evenings w. classical music playing in the background, and world famous southern […] hospitality of Alvin, the proprietor, and his small staff, this is the place for you! "Bed and Breakfast with a lot of Personality"
I was very pleased with this bed and breakfast. The location is just outside the quarter, which makes for an easy walk, but quieter stay. The service is excellent and the staff warm and friendly. On site parking is tight, but a major advantage. Building is old, but well kept, and the rooms humble. Hotel and courtyard are decorated in a diverse and eccentric […] style that is decidedly New Orleans. I would reccommend this location to friends. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

This hotel is quirky and very nice. The folks working there were friendly and able to help us with directions and tourist advice. The hotel Is near everything and the short walk to the historic district was pleasant to walk through.Genuine Expedia guest review

"A very nice old inn style hotel"
You should know before you go that the New Orleans Guest House was built in 1848. So if you are expecting a Marriott, it's not that. If you are expecting a quaint, and clean bed and breakfast style hotel, then this is a very nice place. It has so much character, and southern charm, and the people who manage it are as friendly as any people you will […] ever meet. They gave us some excellent suggestions about places to eat and go to for great music, and were always more than helpful. The breakfast was small, but very nice. "We will reccomend to all"
It was a great place to stay in the French Quarters. Far enough to be away from the noise and close enough to walk downtown. Our hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. If we go back to New Orleans we won't even look for another place to stay. Parking was safe and free. Internet was free and a small fruit and croissant for breakfast was free.Genuine Expedia guest review

"great location and price!"
I highly recommend this B&B. The staff was great and it has a very cool and comfy vibe. Great location to the French Quarter and you really cannot beat the price compared to the rest of the options around the Quarter. My only negative comment is the breakfast offered was pretty minimal but honestly, I chose to walk a few blocks most mornings and dine […] at Cafe Du Monde for beignets and cafe au lait. With all the amazing food offered in New Orleans, maybe it's not a bad thing the breakfast was small. I'd definitly go back...and plan to! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"take out the carpet"
The location of the Guest House and the staff was wonderful. They need to clean out the rooms and dispose of the carpet and put in hard wood or vinyl floors. New Orleans is to wet and humid for carpet. The rooms have a lot of mold. Once they clean that up it would be a perfect place to stay while hanging in the Big Easy.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"good for the price"
It was a nice hotel overall. It was full of unusual antique paintings and fixtures. The garden was nice but could have used a little more upkeep. I couldn't have been happier with our stay here. My fiancé and I stayed in room 5, which was clean, comfortable, and spacious. We also had our own bathroom. The owner was welcoming and very helpful. "Funky, Eccentric, Good Price, Nice Staff"
I booked this B&B last minute for a race weekend. Having read the reviews, I knew to expect a somewhat eccentric experience and was happy to have that expectation realized. The place is funky and charming. We had a "courtyard" room, upstairs and overlooking the garden/cafe. The atmosphere was so awesome - it felt like being in an aviary or jungle. The […] banana tree was actually fruiting and the goldfish pond was a fun added feature. The café itself was a hoot – I loved the flamingos everywhere. We only had breakfast one day because of my super early race on Sunday, but it was good. It was a simple large croissant with fruit, juice, and coffee. I had kind of expected more food but it was totally fine. Saved us more room for tasty French Market treats! The staff was super nice and helpful, offering suggestions for meal locations and tips on directions. Our room was fairly simple/plain and it felt a little like being in a fun house b/c the floor slanted slightly down when we walked in, and the bathroom slanted up. We lost our balance a few times but it just made the whole experience more fun and memorable. I was not that enthralled with the bed linens – they were a little stiff for my taste, and the room temperature was a bit tricky to regulate. However, it was clean and tidy and we only wanted a space to sleep so it was fine. We loved that we could walk to all the French Quarter attractions and felt like we were really in New Orleans. I would definitely return. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
