"Taos Country Inn: Special in SO Many Ways!"
If you like to be warm in the mountains of Taos, New Mexico, our room was toasty and comfortable, AND clean; this B&B is well off the beaten track and if you're looking to leave a hectic city or suburban lifestyle behind, this is the place! Perhaps the most outstanding aspect of our stay is Yolanda, who is the owner of the Taos Country Inn. She was […] as kind and welcoming as family. She knows the area well and has a map available with restaurants and shopping nearby, as well as directions to Chimayo. Yolanda's breakfast spread is lovely, with several different selections to choose from—how nice to have the cook serve and chat with you--made from scratch: delicious! We so enjoyed our visit in every way, and hated to leave. Many others feel the same: read the comments in her guest book. Remember, too, if you are not used to staying in a Bed and Breakfast, this is Yolanda's home that she opens to guests. The dining and living areas that are accessible to her guests are cozy and comfy. We were delighted to have had the chance to meet Yolanda, and greatly enjoyed her warm hospitality. "TAOS COUNTRY INN - wonderful place"
It is very nice, confortable and beautiful, and Iolanda is lovely and generous. We felt so much welcomed there Roberto & Edite from Las Cruces-NM.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very quiet and peaceful but not to far from the center of town. The owner is very gracious and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious combination of fruits, cereals and a different hot dish each morning. I highly recommend Taos Country Inn.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Taos Country Inn"
Our stay was very relaxing and really what we needed. Yolanda told us of all the places and restaurants around. She prepared a lovely breakfast every morning, which started with fresh fruit and a different hot meal every morning, banana pancakes, french toast, waffles. Each morning was a welcomed surprise. We like that the place was not huge and the […] number of rooms kept the traffic and people to a minimum. It was remote, yet close enough to get into down town Taos without much effort. A very well kept, nice relaxing week. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I was searching to see if the Bed and Breakfast I stayed in almost 23 years ago was still around and I was elated to see it is!!! I mostly remember Yolanda and the her delicious breakfast! We ate at the dining table that her children ate on and did their homework. You could still see the scratches from the pencils. From what I remember, the rooms were very clean and spacious. If and when I go back, I will certainly stay at the Inn again! Now I have a reason to go!

We stayed two nights in this beautiful home. Yolanda the innkeeper was wonderful. The B&B is situated only one mile from the plaza in Taos, yet seems hundreds of miles away. The location is so peaceful, with cows and mountains and magnificent sunsets, and quiet. The inn itself is exquisite, the room was huge, clean and comfortable--and the breakfasts delicious. We will definitely go again. I forget my favorite blanket and Yolanda is mailing it back to me. Thank you Taos Country Inn and Yolanda!

We stayed one night here and it was in a word: uncomfortable. The innkeeper was friendly and showed us to our room. The first thing I noticed was the spider on the wall. The entry to the room was outdoors so that may be expected. But then I walked in the door and stepped right into a spider web. Later in the evening we saw a spider inside the room. We also saw a bug in the tub. Perhaps a spray of the property is in order. Our room was hard tile all throughout and cold. There was no wood for the fireplace or any way to heat the room. I tried to find the innkeeper but was unable to reach her. We just bundled up under the blankets which were definitely warm. The TV was an old 10-inch or so sized monitor shoved into the corner very far across the room making it very difficult to see. At night the coyotes were howling outside our window and we had to turn the bathroom fan on to drown out the noise. Breakfast was okay but not astounding. The fruit was lacking in freshness and taste. The hot entrée was banana pancakes and did taste good. We came to the property refreshed and relaxed and left hungry and tired. It was an uncomfortable stay.

We just had the best vacation in Taos and stayed at the awesome Taos Country Inn! Surrounded by beautiful mesas and mountains, this was the perfect vacation place ... out of the way, but close enough to get anywhere in Taos. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing! Best sleep with the windows open, listening to the coyotes at night! Yolanda was a wonderful hostess and knowledgeable about what to see and do in Taos! Although no wi-fi in the rooms, this was perfect to ensure no working on vacation! Definitely recommend!!
I had to make last minute plans for a holiday weekend. It would normally be difficult to find a good rate but Yolanda was great, accommodated my situation, very friendly and facilities were very attractive.

Taos Country Inn B & B is a lovely home with a large dining and sitting room. Our king room was large with a sitting room. The breakfasts were great. The property is way out, you need a GPS to get there. The house does not have AC and bathroom showers not updated but had lovely tile and sky light. I would love the following to get upgraded: mattress, pillows, blow dryer, TV, WI-FI

Taos Country Inn was a more than pleasant stay! It's quiet, quaint, clean and surrounded by a peaceful views of Taos beauty. Upon arrival your greeted by the host and owner of this great B&B Yolanda. Her friendly personality is hospitable and welcoming. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean, accessible, and cozy which made the stay a definite up grade from your everyday hotel. Breakfast was fresh, tasty and homemade, but I got to admit the coffee was perfect. This is a great place to stay for a memorable visit in Taos, New Mexico. I will Be back!!!

This was the perfect balance for independent travelers. We had a wonderful quiet stay, managed to get out and about to discover the area, and had just enough help from Yolanda. She was always there with a wonderful breakfast, the perfect amount of conversation and help when we asked. She set a small fire for us on cold nights and got us reservations at some of the most memorable restaurants.
"A Unique Place to Stay"

I, personally, love this place and look forward any time I'm in the area to stay there: the great location makes so many things easy to visit --Kit Carson house, Taos downtown square, several great restaurants and fun gift shops --all easily walkable. Then there's the local entertainment and you'd better get there early for a seat. Oh, then there's the fabulous Doc Martin restaurant within the Taos Inn to enjoy (even if it's a bit pricey). But what's irreplaceable is the ambiance of an Inn that has been there for years, complete with furniture, fixtures, and features you were hoping for. BUT, for those who want the latest in airconditioning, elevators, and ice machines as well as modern facilities without the possibility of hearing any music wafting thru the walls--FORGET IT. Just leave it for us who love this place. Sharon T.

We had a great stay. The suite was comfortable and spacious. Bathrooms were adequate but not luxurious. Breakfast was good, but not outstanding. What really did it were the location: semi-rural, but minutes from downtown, and Yolanda, the owner/hostess: very warm and friendly, and had a wealth of local knowledge, past and present.
