"Taos Country Inn"
This B&B exceeded our expectations. It was rated a 3 star but we think it should be more given the friendliness of the owner, (a New Mexican lady), the great breakfasts, the house and our room. The house is on the outskirts of Taos which for some if you do not have a car might not work but it was wonderful for us as it is an extremely quiet and peaceful […] setting. Lots of little birds feeding on the seeds the owner sets in front of the house. Everything is within a 5 minute drive as Taos is very small. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Heaven On Earth"
If your travel plan take you to Taos, The Taos Country Inn is a must. The Innkeeper, Yolanda, is a warm, vivacious woman who you will come to love. She makes the most delicious breakfasts and will tell you all the best places to go for day trips and for dinner. She was raised in Taos, so she knows all the local hot spots. She is a wonderful woman. A […] few days after checkout, I realized I left a textbook in my room. I called her, she looked for it while on the phone with me, and then promptly mailed it free of charge. The Inn itself is beautiful and relaxing with southwestern decor. There is a spacious living room to relax and read in with a fireplace and amazing views. The view outside our bedroom was breathtaking. I walked outside every morning with my fresh cup of coffee and all I saw were mountains and horses. It was a gorgeous view...so peaceful. Our bedroom was very large, decorated beautifully and very comfortable. We slept really well. I can't recommend this Inn highly enough. It was one of the best vacations I have ever taken. Thank you Yolanda! We will be back. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Very quiet, wonderful B&B"
My husband had doubts when we drove up because this B&B is down a dirt road and hidden. It's wonderful! We were tired one evening and ordered a pizza, and Yolanda, the innkeeper, laid out plates and silverware "in case the pizza place doesn't bring any" - this was the sort of friendly, easy-going place this is. No air conditioning, but the windows open. […] We heard coyotes yipping one night. This inn is NOT walking distance to the Plaza, but that's probably one of the best things about it. Beautifully decorated and maintained. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lovely place to stay"
Yolanda, our host, was very hospitable and served a delicious and healthy breakfast. We were the only guests Sunday night so she moved us into a more spacious room that was comfortable and beautifully decorated. We'll stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Charming spot in Taos"
The Taos Country Inn is a terrific small bed-and breakfast spot. The owner and operator, Yolanda, has lived in Taos all her life and can offer great advice on any matter of interest to a touring couple. She knows restaurants, museums, hikes, tour routes and more. Her service is most friendly, her house beautifully decorated with New Mexico pottery, […] paintings and other artifacts, and her breakfasts met every need from fat-free tofull eggs plus. And the hummingbirds at feeders near her entry provided constant entertainment. We would return there in a minute. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Best of Taos"

"The best stay on a wonderful two-week journey"
We spent two weeks driving from SLC to northern new mexico, and among numerous one-night stays in everything from 4 star hotels to at least one rather shabby motel, we found our stay in Taos Country Inn the best. Taos itself was a very charming small town and seem to have both ski areas, hiking, and the Rio Grande Gorge. The star attraction in the region, […] however, is obviously the UNESCO world herritage site Taos Pueblo (well worth the trip by itself). We spent only one day, but a month after returning we remember this Inn to be the best stay on the entire trip. Yolanda (the hostess) was very hospitable and made our stay excellent. It might seem a bit off when one arrives, but it is in fact only a few minutes driving from the center. On the other hand, the scilence at night is quite breathtaking - like a one-night retreat for stressed out city people; both exciting and fully relaxing at the same time. We have absolutely nothing to complain about - except maybe that we had to return to SLC and our flight home after only one night. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A Unique Place to Stay"

I, personally, love this place and look forward any time I'm in the area to stay there: the great location makes so many things easy to visit --Kit Carson house, Taos downtown square, several great restaurants and fun gift shops --all easily walkable. Then there's the local entertainment and you'd better get there early for a seat. Oh, then there's the fabulous Doc Martin restaurant within the Taos Inn to enjoy (even if it's a bit pricey). But what's irreplaceable is the ambiance of an Inn that has been there for years, complete with furniture, fixtures, and features you were hoping for. BUT, for those who want the latest in airconditioning, elevators, and ice machines as well as modern facilities without the possibility of hearing any music wafting thru the walls--FORGET IT. Just leave it for us who love this place. Sharon T.

We had a great stay. The suite was comfortable and spacious. Bathrooms were adequate but not luxurious. Breakfast was good, but not outstanding. What really did it were the location: semi-rural, but minutes from downtown, and Yolanda, the owner/hostess: very warm and friendly, and had a wealth of local knowledge, past and present.
"Could have stayed a month!"

We loved our stay! We were greeted by Yolanda with a big hug! It was like going to visit a great friend. We had no plans when we got there, but Yolanda got out her pen, a map and a highlighter. She mapped out restaurants, and some great activities. We had such a great time, we loved listening to the history of the inn. We cannot wait to go back!

Our stay with Yolanda was like visiting an old friend. The rooms were lovely and very spacious and comfortable. My kids couldn't wait to see what Yolanda would be cooking up for breakfast in morning and it was always delicious! We miss it already.
"Wonderful Bed and Breakfast"

We loved our experience at the Taos Country Inn. Yolanda, the innkeeper, was dear and oh, so knowledgeable about every attraction and experience there. We fondly remember her with highlighter in hand marking a route or a place that we shouldn't miss while we were there. Her food was excellent, the accommodations were warm and inviting and the hospitality could not be topped anywhere. I called her on New Years' Eve to see how she was doing and to let her know we were thinking of her. I know you'll enjoy your stay there.

This place was fantastic and words just can't begin to describe how good it was. The hostess was friendly and filled with helpful suggestions and interesting stories about how the Inn began. The bed & room were large, the view breathtaking, the mattress firm, the shower hot and strong, freezer & fridge were available for guests in a public room, there was a comfy public sitting room around a fire and the breakfasts were to die for. Nearby was the fascinating and picturesque pueblo as well as downtown Taos with all its unique art. The only downside was the altitude, which often left me too nauseated to enjoy the delicious food -- but that can't be blamed on the delightful host or Inn. This place is NOT to be missed!
"Edge of Taos, but minutes to Square."

We like the country locations, but still close to what we want to see. Spent four nights in Yolanda's charming Bed & Breakfast. We chose one of the rooms with the 8 foot vanity, so my husband and I had plenty of room to spread out and because of the separate sitting area as I go to bed earlier than my husband. Just enjoyed looking up at the beautiful wood ceiling and appreciated the down comforter on our king size bed. Disappointed I didn't hear the coyotes at night and wish we would have had some wood to build a fire. But having stayed in many B&B's over our years of travels, we have never had a more wonderful host/owner. She really cares and is interested in her travelers that come thru her doors. Just a beautiful dining room and living room for your enjoyment. Being a Adobe structure WIFI was only available in the Dining Area. No complaints about the breakfast either. Always a buffet of fresh fruit, cheese & granola and a hot entree different ever morning.

This was a beautiful, quiet and peaceful place. The huge old willow tree in front of the main entrance, the aspens beginning to turn to their fall colors, and the other trees and foliage surrounding the property were magnificent, providing a sense of seclusion and belonging. The owner, Yolanda, was a very gracious and interesting lady who knows a tremendous amount about the Taos area and New Mexico in general. She made us feel right at home and her breakfasts were delicious. We met and struck up conversations with many interesting people from all over the world at breakfast. Our room(s) were very comfortable. I've been coming to Taos for many years and this is the best place I've found to stay and wish we could have stayed longer. We highly recommend it.
"Would stay here again"

This is a charming property in an old, rambling adobe home that backs on to empty fields at the western edge of Taos. The innkeeper, Yolanda, is warm and welcoming. The public areas - dining room and sitting room - are beautiful, light-filled and serene. Our guest room was spacious and comfortable. The only weakness - and it is not a major issue - is that our room looked a little tired and outdated. This was especially true for the bathroom. But all in all a good place to stay that I would recommend to a friend.

This is a charming and comfortable inn...and while there are many of these in the area, the reason to choose this over the others is Yolanda. She could not have been more warm, gracious and helpful. Once you find this inn (be sure to get good directions...it is hard to find!), she will make you feel right at home, like an old friend. We hated to leave!
