I can purchase all those things myself. its great for those of you who are going there for that but not me. finnaly got to the resort and cked in and were redirected to a staff person who procedded with the same HUSTLE! GAWWWWWWD I JUST WANNA GO TO THE BEACH AND KICKBACK!!!!!!OTHER THAN THAT ID RECOMEND THE RESORT! VERY NICE PLACE!! TOPS FOR THAT AREA! First time staying at a resort, Had a great time except for the tropical storm we had for 2 of our 4 day stay. I would highly recommend this resort to my friends and family. "Exceptional in Every Way."
The entire facility was beautiful and immaculately maintained. It is on a large, swimmable beach, and a 20 to 25 minute leisurely walk (on the beach) to the marina and downtown. There are several good restaurants/bars on the beach between the hotel and marina/downtown if you don't want to walk all the way. We usually walked to dinner and took a taxi […] back ($8 plus tip for four). The only turnoff was the sheer number of timeshare salespeople and sheep being led around the grounds on their several hour tours. Just came back from our honeymoon. Everything was clean, service was great and food was Fab! Not your typical "all inclusive" buffet food. Would defiantly go back and recommend. We visited in August. The hotel was excellent. It seemed very new and updated. The service was good, maybe because it was low season. Very kid friendly. "Villa Del Arco was AWESOME"
My husband, myself & my 16 year old son stayed in a 2 bedroom villa-much bigger than we needed but perfect in every way. A 1 bedroom would have been large enough; however,we had no idea the size of the villas when we booked our trip.The resort itself is in immaculate condition for being 8 years old. Our rooms were clean, well-equipped, & had everything […] we needed for the week.There was a full fridge w/freezer, a dishwasher, blender, stove, & microwave/convection oven. We paid for the all-inclusive option since we weren't sure about the restaurant, food options in and around the resort. I'm glad we did, but many vacationers went to the nearby Wal-Mart & stocked their kitchen w/breakfast & lunch food to cut down on the cost of their trips.The restaurants on the property were very good, but VERY COSTLY if you don't go all-inclusive. Breakfast usually came to $70-$80 and was a buffet. A cheeseburger at lunch was $16 & tacos $11 so we did right going all-inclusive. Drinks were $9.50. Dinners were over $100 at any of the property's restaurants. We could dine at the sister resort- La Palmer whose Italian restaurant was wonderful. The Palmar was much noisier & had many more younger kids. The activities were at the Palmar. Arco was quiet starting at 10 PM. The staff was friendly & helpful. Getting to the marina was a $7 cab ride-well worth it. Great food options are available there as well. Water sports were plentiful & so were the vendors but a simple NO TY sent them away. Fun trip! My husband, son and I stayed at the hotel and were extremely disappointed. I had stayed at Cabo Villa's for a week, four days prior to coming back to Cabo; I had a fabulous time at Cabo Villa and was very impressed with the facility and service. We decided to go to an all inclusive instead of Cabo Villa since my 15 year old son was accompanying us and […] we wanted to enjoy our time and not worry about meals or cost. Unfortunately it was a bad decision. The hotel has newly adopted all inclusive and you can tell by the experience. Any time you order anything, you need to sign a receipt that shows the cost of your transaction. It would be fine if the waiters and servers had the ability to produce their own receipts but they are not empowered to do so. There is one person that controls producing all receipts; so you spend a majority of your day waiting on a receipt. They are soo focused on making sure you sign a receipt, whether you order water, a drink or food that it is time consuming. One morning I was at the pool early and wanted a glass of water and I was told that I could not get one because I'd need to sign a receipt and it would be too time consuming! Also, any food or drinks in your room you are charged for. The service was atrocious and everyone was frustrated and complaining. The rooms were nice but the cleaning staff did not do a great job. "Avoid it-terrible service"
From the moment we stepped into the facility, we were treated like second class citizens when we rebuffed any sales pitches. While they supposedly upgraded us to a 1 bedroom suite, it was on the ground floor facing a large air conditioning unit for the hotel. It was also loud. The beds were uncomfortable, and the linens would rate a negative 2 on a […] scale of 1-5. The thermostat was clearly a tease, because no matter how far we turned the dial it was freezing. The food was expensive and for the most part bad. The bacon cheeseburger from the Buccaneer poolside restaurant was good, but that's about it. Even the strawberry daiquiri's weren't very good. The piña coladas were okay. The biggest complaint was the poor service. There weren't enough waiters by the pool, and they were very slow with a bad attitude. Every morning we watched couples and families trudging along with a realtor on a sales pitch. While I'm glad I didn't go through that, it was no fun not getting the coveted "elite" card that came with it. So we paid more than others at the restaurants and got old ugly brown and white striped beach towels. Also, our key kept not working. I had run up ton the room in my swimsuit for something and couldn't get in. I had to walk through the lobby barely dressed and they still made me wait to get my card re-keyed. The hotel was all inclusive but you have to provide you room number and sign a receipt for every item you consumed. If you weren't waiting for you drink/food, you were waiting to sign the receipt. hotel staff were spread thin by having to get your order, bring your order and then get receipt for you to sign. You couldn't put orders to together with […] other rooms and were limited on the number of drinks you could order at one time per room. This wasn't a staff issue by a management or organizational issue. All inclusive guests had wrist bands with bar codes but didn't seem they had the ability to scan them and do not see the reason for signing if the order was part of the all inclusive and if it was for inventory purposes or supply control-it was a real inconvenience and won't stay there again. This was our 3rd year at Villa del Arco. We love the resort and the staff is so friendly and helpful. We chose the all inclusive option and felt it was well worth the money. There were many options for dining between Villa del Arco and Villa del Palmar. We really enjoyed all of the meals and loved that room service was included with the all inclusive […] package this year for a samll $2 fee. We had a 1 bedroom suite and it was beautiful and very clean. The only thing that could be somewhat annoying at times was "closing" out your all inclusive tab every 30 minutes. In the past when our group was smaller, 4 people vs. 22, it was simple, but with a large group it was cumbersome at times. All in all, we love this resort and will go back again! "Great resort for a couple or family"
My husband and I came to this hotel for our honeymoon and it was amazing. It is right on Medano beach which is one of the few swimmable beaches around the resort areas. It was very close to the downtown area, night life, other restuarants, shopping, etc. We just walked the majority of the time. One complaint I have is how the staff trick/mislead you […] into doing a timeshare presentation. Right when you walk in they take you to check in and mislead you into thinking that after your check in you will be seated with someone at a desk to go over further details for your stay; we paid for an all inclusive so we figured the woman at the desk would go over the details of that but they basically are setting you up for a timeshare presentation. We had to pay $20 up from for the presentation but the fee is refunded after you complete the presentation, whether you buy in or not. The hotel in itself is beautiful, the food at all of the restaurants and the 2 sister hotels was great. The only complaint in regards to the food was the service was inconsistent. Some times we would be waiting a very long time to get refills on drinks which was sort of a let down, but the staff was still friendly and courteous. The views are amazing, the pool was great, the hot tubs were awesome. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to come back again. The hotel is gorgeous. Great views. Rooms are nice and amenities are great. The work-out area is awesome. The spa is gorgeous, obviously expensive, upper-scale. Clean, nice-enough staff. Pushy timeshare staff. Service staff was good, for the most part. The food was good. Price-y, can be found cheaper off-site, but still reasonable. I had an Expedia […] voucher for $200 for food/drinks, which the front desk/management didn't want to honor. After some time, luckily, on the last day, at checkout, they did. But, it would have been nicer if management would have honored it upon first presentation at check-in, as Expedia voucher indicated. It was a nice getaway for me and my husband. A little far out of town, but we did appreciate the walk, with all the chips and guac we ate. The elevator didn't work for 4/5 days. The day we arrived the pool heater was broken. After they fixed that, the heater for the jacuzzi broke. I also was informed by their staff at check-in that they would honor the $200 Expedia food/bev voucher that I presented as per the voucher instructions. The day before i was scheduled to leave, I received the […] bill under my door which didn't include the credit. After I called the front desk, they said the credit would be applied upon check out. Guess what happened at check out? They didn't honor the voucher and completely disregarded any/every logical reason that I proferred for them to accept the voucher. I felt cheated. The manager who said she would honor the voucher played dumb during my checkout. Also, some of the staff were very rude. This hotel was a huge disappointment. I would NOT recommend it to anyone.
