"Direkt vid Röda Havet"
Vi är en familj på 2 vuxna och 2 barn som bodde 6 nätter på fina Renaissance Golden View Beach. Vi hade bokat 2 dubbelrum, ett till oss vuxna och ett till barnen. Direkt vid ankomst blev vi uppgraderade till rum med havsutsikt och fick rum som dessutom låg direkt intill varandra. Personalen var alltigenom fantastisk: "serviceminded", hjälpsam och trevlig. […] Hotellanläggningen är stor (men överskådlig) och ligger på en sluttning ner mot havet. Många trappor att avverka varje dag mellan stranden längst ner och reception/restaurang/pool längst upp – så det är inte att rekommendera för personer med rörelsehinder. Läget vid havet är helt fantastiskt. Korallrev direkt utanför stranden som man når genom en pontonbrygga. Vi snorklade flera gånger varje dag. Fantastiskt klart vatten och rikt på färgsprakande fiskar. Det finns några restauranger inom hotellområdet men de vänder sig främst till all-inclusive-gäster, även om man som "non-inclusive-gäst" också kan köpa sina måltider där. Vi valde att ta taxi till Old-Sharm eller Naama Bay om kvällarna, gå på shopping och välja bland massor av restauranger (med bra mat i alla segment). Taxi är billigt och det står alltid några bilar utanför hotellporten och väntar. Hotellet är känt som Mariott Renaissance för taxichaufförerna. "Outstanding service and amazing snorkeling"
Me and my husband spent four lovely days together in Sharm El Sheikh. We especially enjoyed the fact that the hotel is situated very close to the sea and the amazing coral reef. This gave us the possibility of snorkeling by the reef whenever we wanted - amazing experience! Bring your own snorkeling equipment if you have such. Also, the service at the […] hotel is outstanding - the staff really did everything they could to give us the best service possible. For example, upon arriving, we were upgraded to a better room (a family suite) free of charge, and were also allowed to check in to our suite early in the morning. Since we arrived very early in the morning, we were happy to find two plates of breakfast in our suite, even though breakfast on our arriving day was not included. Later we unfortunately had some bad luck with our suite, when reparations were made in the room next to ours. This caused a strong smell of fresh paint coming into our suite and made it impossible for us to stay there. But, after we discussed the matter with the desk manager (who understood and took it very seriously) he directly helped us to move to another suite - plus gave us a lovely dinner at the hotel's restaurant free of charge. Bodde i ett rum med havsutsikt och det var fantastisk fint att sitta på balkongen om kvällarna och se alla dykbåtarna på väg in i hamn efter dagens dykutfärder. "You get what you pay for"
Yes the hotel rooms are a bit dated, the wifi sucks, the buffet dining room is filthy and full of screaming kids but people... You get what you pay for! The cost of this hotel especially for full board is dirt cheap! There are a variety of lovely pools, a reef right out the front and a floating pontoon, ok Mexican and Italian restaurants and multiple bars. The bathrooms are large, aircon works well and there are 4 English TV channels. You can't really complain as everything is relative to cost. The people who try and sell you activities around the pool all day are a bit annoying. Be firm and they leave you alone.

We have chosen to stay in this property thinking that would be fine since it's a brand and 5* property. unfortunately turned out to be the worst vacation we have spend here are the some bullet points that I would like to give my feedback; - location wise cannot complain much as its 15 min away from the naama bay which is their attraction area. - the rooms are not cleaned up to standards,housekeeping cleans the rooms according to their daily mood and in some cases they use bathroom while you r out. -our room included breakfast however most of the time we ordered room service and paid double as it was not possible to eat in the restaurant due to unacceptable environment that their guest profile provided,such as shouting, dropping the entire buffet to the floor,covering entire place with food items you would feel like you need to sterilize everything you touch,the tables,chairs were covered with dirt and was greasy. - when you are on vacation especially in a resort you would think to relax by the pool,in this property this is impossible,loud locals, baby's in their diapers inside the pool, guests are inside the pool with their regular clothing,there is no control of hygiene even tough it says on the signage that you need to take a shower before using the pool!they eat anything they want inside the pool so to not disturb yourself you should stay away! What I suggest they should come up with an idea to separate the pools otherwise it's a total disaster. - tried to eat in the Italian restaurant, had a risotto, we mentioned that to the waiter that it was not tasty, chefs shows up and she talks to you like blaming you cause you didn't like her dish instead of understanding the cause! She also tried to explain whats risotto which we really appreciate it however this was not the first we ate risotto. -due to all inclusive concept there is no taste in any of the restaurant. - F&B employees sweats due to weather conditions cleans their sweats and serves your food. - there is an option on your phone "at your service " it's working only when you order room service and that's because you are paying for it, if you order additional service,like replenish of your amenities in the room never works! - front office stuff argues and talks among them, ignores you most of the time. -there is a buggy service that could take you around the resort when you need to when you call they never show up. -the worst is when you complain about all your unpleasant experiences there is no efficient problem resolution, they look at at your face an apologize that they have a local clients and they don't know how to behave and they are lacking of manning. I really think the hotel needs a complete change of mentality and more focus on training the employees about real hospitality.

A lovely hotel, mostly spotless with the odd exception that let's it down. A few areas are tired and could do with a rebuild or a lick of paint. The rooms are very nice and cleaned well, great air con, big bathroom and big bed. The restaurant is the only letdown, its OK food, the fish is lovely, but its the same each day, but there is a KFC and McDonald's just down the road :) The weather is awesome, sun all day every day, plenty of strong lotions needed, moisturiser for the ladies. Snorkeling is a must, £20 for flippers, mask and snorkel in the hotel. Also diving is cheap from £35 up to £65 for a 20min taster dive, great instructors and safe. If you want any excursions, wait until your here, then go out the hotel, turn right, walk to the last shop on the row and book anything half the online or in hotel price. I don't believe this is a 5 stare hotel it was the worst I ever stayed and the worst staff the hotel worth to be 1 stare hotel. First time in my life I stay in hotel and has no service at all I mean it no services. I have stayed in 3 stars hotels in the past and it was much better then this crapy hotel. The only good thing about the hotel is the dive centre and has nothing to do with the hotel I would not advice this hotel at all the worst 8 night of my life was in this hotel Please please please don't spend your money or west them in this hotel breakfast is bad outlets all of them are bad This hotel should be without any star guest house can do better them them
"Awful food, too busy, too noisy"

I think I will need a holiday after a week at this hotel. Full of noisy, rampaging local families who have no respect for anyone's personal space. They screamed and shouted from 6 in the morning and all night in every restaurant and around every pool, they ate their ice cream and drinks in the pool and they left their litter everywhere. Perhaps if you could remove that element the hotel would be ok but the buffet would still be not great - also none of the hot dishes are labelled which is strange. The Mexican restaurant is good and the actual hotel rooms are nice and the air con works well. There is no wifi in the rooms which is a disgrace in 2014. Nice pools, spoilt by the guests who hunt in packs...The wonderful Front desk manager Mohammed Abdel Rahman makes up for one of his rude, I'm too busy to be nice, front desk staff. This hotel is way too big, it's an unpleasant stay- never again.. Just for info it's 30 mins from the airport and a taxi to Naama Bay costs about 40 Egyptian- you can buy Converse, Hollister, Superdry copies there..

I'll try and provide as much useful information, without too much preamble. The hotel is 30 min from the airport (about 70 l.e) After arriving at the hotel about midnight, there was a short lived mix up that was swiftly handled by the excellent front desk manager Mohamed Abdel Rahman (who never sleeps!) We were given a complimentary upgrade to a lovely suite, overlooking the pool. The place is spotless - room, pool, dining areas - all kept nice & fresh. Each morning you awake to cut grass, cleaned pool & brushed paths.... There's lots of paths The staff make the place; whether at the bar (Michael), poolside (Geordie), room service ( Mohammed), or table service (too many to mention) each & every one made the trip with a prompt, friendly & sometimes telepathic service :) Karim at the Dive In site is good & will arrange dive trips without too much haggling - well worth a visit, as the dive trips are 1 on 1 with lots to see. The hotel offers a shuttle service to both Naama bay & the old market for a couple of pound return and is an excellent way to get about and get your bearings - the shopkeepers are pretty friendly & will make you smile (Harry at the on site shop will match any deal in the market if you can't face the hassle tho') If there is a downside, it's probably the food - there's several restaurants on site - all good, but the buffet service though well cooked & fresh is a little limited. Overall, the Renaissance is an impressive hotel & I don't think you'll regret your stay here - enjoy :) PS - there's free wifi by the pools - so you can call home for free and an automated currency changer just off the lobby

Stayed one week at this hotel July 2014. The first impression is good. However we think that due to low booking they had made a promotion for local families. The Hotel was soon a playground for kids and not very relaxing for other hotel guests. Noisy in the restaurant and upper bar area in the Nights. Its was a good thing that we found Joeys Bar by the pool in lower area where there was peace and quiet. But why is it so hard to get a coffee served in the morning. Had to ask 2 or 3 times to get a coffee not served With a smile. Every morning. The A/C and beds ane good, but the room lack of maintenance. And another thing, NO WI-FI in the rooms in 2014...Why???

Stayed at this hotel last November had a lovely 2 weeks, weather was lovely.had a room near reception ,it was cleaned everyday we booked a double suite room, which was very nice and spacious .All the staff were brilliant and have ,great sense of humour.and very proffessional they deserve a lot of praise as they make this hotel what it is .Food was lovely and al acarte restaurants are worth a visit the italian was my favourite but all are lovely...All of the pools and gardens are well kept i would recommend this hotel and i will definetely go back ,the only negative thing i would say is we stayed up till 1 st week december and they closed one of the bars to get ready 4 the xmas rush but thats the only negative we had .....We will visit again well done to you all.. ..

Well sorry it took 3mths to write, but been a busy bee!. My friends first time to egypt and she loved this hotel. My regular hotel and dont stay anywhere else in egypt, my dad would be offended if i took him anywhere else.. We arrived here in april for ten nites, and wow what a holiday! My friend did get bitten alive by mozzies and had an allergic reaction really bad that she had to have an injection and take meds frm the pharmacy. But then got bit again and MR Alaa arranged for her to go to the dr on site and have another injection and some different meds. . I mean how nice is that? A day or so passed and she picked up, we also spent a fortune on mozzie repellant, the best one is the body mozzie repellant out there in egypt. . I will defo buy that again it really works. We had a family room around the pool area acopolco joes, and met some lovely people, and egyptian man and his gfriend. . Name escapes me, sorry. But we went to space nightclub and it was amazing. The breakfast area was being refurbed and looked fab when it was done, however the breakfast variety has become less which is a shame. . Please make it how it used to be for my return with my family. The location is alittle out the way frm na.ama bay. Suits me! Its 3quid in a taxi, but did walk once and it took me 90mins ha ha. The pools were alittle chilly i thought but once in you were fine and to be honest you needed the coolness after being in the sun. Loved the main food, we were only b and b, and paid for what you wanted. I did prefer this way as i never knew frm one day to the next what i wanted, this way i could choose. Loved the sea and fish. . The jetty was always busy with people, but always found a place to sit and have a dip. Roxy tours are good, and recommend you using him as you feel safe for your excursions. Hamy has since left the hotel, which is a shame, but mohammed in the lobby was a real gem. Abit moody to start ha. Sorry. . but two days later he was used to us and we spent most nites in there making us laugh etc. Valeria, customer service manager looked after our needs, we moved rooms at one point and lost my friend as she got drunk. but we found each other in the end, thanks to valeria and alaa pointing out where she had gone. I will still return to the hotel as many of the valuable staff make this hotel and make my stay an enjoyable one, i always feel safe which is the main thing on holiday. My dad who is nearly 70 still feels safe,even if he has to walk up the 50steps to reception. although there is a buggy to take you free of charge. He wont use it as he wants to keep mobile, he says its to burn off all the cakes he has at breakfast ha. Il mercato down the road has shops, and restaurants if you want to eat out close by. We tried onions that is nice. There is also a mcdonalds, kfc, starbucks etc too in that area. See you next year with my friends in may, and my family in september for my dads birthday next year! Keep up the good work, and bring back the flavoured yoghurts, the wax with honey, the whole fresh fruit :)
