Fine hotel faciliteter. Dejligt værelse og absolut gode faciliteter med flere pools hvor dog kun den ene er opvarmet om vinteren. Vi havde et værelse med havudsigt mens børnene havde et med garden view. De fik så til gengæld fordelen med mere sollys på altanen. All inclusive kan absolut anbefales, specielt hvis man har børn med, da man slipper for at […] skulle tænke over hvad alting koster. Der er penge at spare. Hotellet ligger i en resort hvor alt er isoleret og der er fred for irriterende sælgere. Der er dog dem som sælger diverse ture som vandsport, dykning etc. De er nemlig stationeret indenfor det afgrænsede område. På den negative side kan nævnes, at vi flere gange fik bestik og glas der ikke var vasket godt nok. Dog ikke værre end, at det blev skiftet med det samme når der blev gjort opmærksom på det. Personalet var venlige, men ikke altid gode nok til engelsk, hvilket gjorde, at vi enkelte gange følte, at informationen fra hotellets side var ikke altid god nok. Alt i alt en god oplevelse. "Direkt vid Röda Havet"
Vi är en familj på 2 vuxna och 2 barn som bodde 6 nätter på fina Renaissance Golden View Beach. Vi hade bokat 2 dubbelrum, ett till oss vuxna och ett till barnen. Direkt vid ankomst blev vi uppgraderade till rum med havsutsikt och fick rum som dessutom låg direkt intill varandra. Personalen var alltigenom fantastisk: "serviceminded", hjälpsam och trevlig. […] Hotellanläggningen är stor (men överskådlig) och ligger på en sluttning ner mot havet. Många trappor att avverka varje dag mellan stranden längst ner och reception/restaurang/pool längst upp – så det är inte att rekommendera för personer med rörelsehinder. Läget vid havet är helt fantastiskt. Korallrev direkt utanför stranden som man når genom en pontonbrygga. Vi snorklade flera gånger varje dag. Fantastiskt klart vatten och rikt på färgsprakande fiskar. Det finns några restauranger inom hotellområdet men de vänder sig främst till all-inclusive-gäster, även om man som "non-inclusive-gäst" också kan köpa sina måltider där. Vi valde att ta taxi till Old-Sharm eller Naama Bay om kvällarna, gå på shopping och välja bland massor av restauranger (med bra mat i alla segment). Taxi är billigt och det står alltid några bilar utanför hotellporten och väntar. Hotellet är känt som Mariott Renaissance för taxichaufförerna. "Outstanding service and amazing snorkeling"
Me and my husband spent four lovely days together in Sharm El Sheikh. We especially enjoyed the fact that the hotel is situated very close to the sea and the amazing coral reef. This gave us the possibility of snorkeling by the reef whenever we wanted - amazing experience! Bring your own snorkeling equipment if you have such. Also, the service at the […] hotel is outstanding - the staff really did everything they could to give us the best service possible. For example, upon arriving, we were upgraded to a better room (a family suite) free of charge, and were also allowed to check in to our suite early in the morning. Since we arrived very early in the morning, we were happy to find two plates of breakfast in our suite, even though breakfast on our arriving day was not included. Later we unfortunately had some bad luck with our suite, when reparations were made in the room next to ours. This caused a strong smell of fresh paint coming into our suite and made it impossible for us to stay there. But, after we discussed the matter with the desk manager (who understood and took it very seriously) he directly helped us to move to another suite - plus gave us a lovely dinner at the hotel's restaurant free of charge. "for chill out in sharm"
the hotel is located in a quiet district with a lot of hotels near by . its spacious and really with a golden view .. the beach is so clean in comparison to naama bay . the bar is wonderful and cheap . breakfast is okay but not impressive as you suspect from a 5 star hotel . the rooms were spacious and amenities were okay but also not what you want from a 5 star hotel . the pool area is vibrant and lovely . you have to take a taxi to almost everywhere you want to go in sharm unlike hotels in naama where you can walk . i recommend this hotel for who ever wants to go for a couple of chillout days in sharm .

I stayed at the hotel between 16th and 21st April... The hotel is great But what lets it down is the customer service it is non existent! Every morning no table would be laid out in the Coast restaurant I would have to ask for each thing individually... Knife fork cups coffee milk... Everything would arrive after 15 minutes of waiting and food going cold! Same thing happened every day for 5 days! All the staff need some hospitality training! It's a shambles for such a highly graded hotel... The facilities are great.. However There is no heated pool... On arrival I asked for a late check out when it came to checking out I was asked for $75 to stay extra 2 hours after causing a fuss I got to stay in the room for a couple extra hours. I ordered shisha and drinks at the pool bar service was slow, but drinks and Shisha were ok... For each item ordered I received 3 different bills from 3 different members of staff! Why? I don't know.... Maybe they were all after a tip... Over all the hotel is beautiful the beach/corals are nice but the staff need to be trained to the grade the hotel is rated at.

well; back again for another stay at the renaissance.All in all a very good stay once again with an upgraded room provided by adel in receiption who is always very polite and nothing is ever too much trouble. I have to say that in places the hotel is beginning to look tired albeit I would not change or risk another hotel these are just my observations.. The aqua bar staff are very friendly with young mohammed very cheeky in a good way !! but polite and again always on hand to offer you a good service I hope he is treated well by the hotel staff management because he has a lot to offer in customer service for the future. The staff at acapulcos were miserable never smiling as if they hated there job this quite surprised me and we will not being spending any time at that bar in the hotel in the future. Free in room wi fi was not available and a s a business man found this a nuisance. Chefs always friendly food was pretty good for Egypt and on the whole an enjoyable stay just feel if this hotel is not careful it could be on a slippery slope but don't let that put you off as im certain this is one of the better hotels in sharm.

We booked this holiday through our travel agent in March. The brief was to find somewhere of a good standard,with more or less guaranteed sunshine at that time of year,and not too long a flight, where we could simply relax without paying through the eyes and nose. We were allocated a room by the smaller heated pool opposite "Acapulco Joe's" Mexican restaurant, which turned out to be quite convenient, as it was within easy access of the pool, the beach, and the bar. The pool management was excellent, in the care of the two Mustafas (on different shifts), although pool service in the form of drinks service was not in evidence. "Acapulco Joe's" was something of a disappointment, particularly as lunch on the all inclusive package could only be taken in the buffet restaurant in the main building. This necessitated a buggy ride each lunchtime, whereas the option of lunch in the pool bar would have been much more convenient. This is obviously very much a family Hotel, and many of the rooms around the pool area seem to have areas for extra beds, and kitchen facilities. Whilst we were there, the pool was full of young children who seemed to be competing who could scream loudest and longest. This seems to be a fact of life wherever you go at school holiday time. As the Hotel seems to be on a site the size of Euro Disney,the aforementioned buggy ride is essential to get to and fro. Egyptian driving habits are not just limited to the roads, and the chicane at the bottom of the hill on the approach to our room would provide us and the driver with a challenge and frisson of excitement. The "Premium" room was spacious, although starting to look a little tired, but was maintained to a good daily standard. Lunch in the "Coast" buffet was quite adequate, although the place itself exudes the charm and atmosphere of a large railway station buffet. Breakfast posed the challenge of trying to attract the waiter's attention for a cup of coffee. "Can we have some coffee please?" seemed to be interpreted as "will you please clear those tables over there?" In the evening, we tended to go to the "Il Palio" Italian restaurant. The menu in this establishment changed every three days, so that at the end of ten days, it became very predictable. Despite the soulless atmosphere, the service was good, and the food freshly prepared. It also provided the evening's theatre, with the two delightful and attentive waiters whose aura of calm efficiency and flourish, was offset by a senior colleague who tended to move everywhere at the double, as if training in a naval gunnery academy. At some stage towards the end of the meal, the chef, complete with toque, would visit the tables, as if expecting plaudits for some gastronomic tour de force. Occasionally, one of the duty chefs would shuffle between there and the buffet. His size 14 rubber boots, combined with his ample girth, made him waddle and his headgear was reminiscent of the black cap which used to be worn by the High Court judge pronouncing the death sentence. There are seats outside on the balcony, with a lovely view over the main pool, but too often, the volume of music from the belly dancing would deter any but the most hard of hearing from sitting there. There is a nice bar in the lobby, presided over by the delightful Ahmed. If you want to find out what are the hopes and aspirations of young Egyptians, he is the man to talk to. Otherwise, the lobby is a large and not particularly comfortable area. The front desk service was very friendly and helpful. Our travel agent recommended this Hotel, with the caveat that although classified five star, it isn't five star standard.In this respect, she was quite correct, but overall, the Hotel provides good facilities, very average food, and rooms, which like much of the Hotel, need refurbishing. It is easy to see why it is well patronised by families. One final comment: the place is totally unsuitable for those with mobility problems. There are a lot of shiny and potentially slippery marble floors and stairs without handrails. The use of the buggies is essential, but it must be said, that you seldom have to wait more than five minutes for one. Overall, a reasonable Hotel, in a good location-particularly, I imagine, if you like diving. It seems to be particularly suitable for families with young children. However, it is not a five star establishment, and I remain puzzled by the number of rave reviews about the place. as elsewhere in Egypt, it is the good nature, wit, and humour of the Egyptian people themselves that will contribute towards making your stay here an enjoyable experience.

I felt that the staff tried to make this a pleasant stay for my friends and I and I appreciate the effort. The initial check in went great and they were very friendly and even let us check in several hours early. I feel as the time went on, they became more stressed; perhaps with the holiday weekend. We had issues with our booking. I had requested a room for 5 people and they disbelieved my request until I pulled up an email from their booking agent which said the same thing I had said; with the number of people and price quoted. Then I was told to come back 3-4 times to the reception to determine the solution; but each time, I was told to return again. Not knowing until the final moment how the problem of 5 people to a room was to be solved. This was a continually on my mind and interrupting the day as I kept having to return to check on this. My friend had also left a toiletry bag in our first room, and when calling repeatedly to get it (as at this point we had moved to the new room) proved pointless. They never did return the toiletry bag to us even with multiple calls. Perhaps again, just overstressed. There were several issues with maintenance; with our phone not working and the small washing machine in our suite. We also called about that but after several calls, my friend finally went to the reception to get someone. At that point, I was able to figure out and fix the machine issues. The staff at the snorkeling/diving area were great! Really friendly and helpful. Snorkeling was a highlight of our time. Again, I felt that the staff tried. But with the booking issues, maintenance issues that went un-addressed, and less friendliness as time went on; I probably would try to find a different place to stay the next time I return to Sharm.

Our Stay at the Renaissance Golden Sands resort was our best Holiday so far. I arranged the flights and the Hotel separately. The confirmation email arrived the next day. Reservation was simple. I arranged for the hotel to pick us up from the airport . Again this was confirmed by email the morning of our flight. Which was great. The first thing you notice when you arrive is that the level of security is extremely high. There are metal detectors, sniffer dogs and security guards at the external entrance and another level of security efore you enter . You ,your friends and family will feel very safe. Then you walk into a extremely Grand entrance with beautiful flowers decorating the elegant white marble staircase. The Hotel itself has great facilities. The rooms are very spacious. And for me a sense of space out weighs the cramped feeling you have with ultra modern hotels.The view from our deluxe room with sea view was stunning . I would recommend a room on 2 nd floor for the best view unless you want to walk straight out onto the pool. We had 7207 half between the Hotel and the beach so a nice location. The pools themselves are beautiful. And so well maintained. They are surrounded by beautiful gardens and always very close to a bar . We alternated between 3 pools. and I would like to personally thank all the staff who were wonderful. In particular our lovely waiter Mohamed Hadad at the Aqua Bar whow is wis beyond his years. Mohamed the life guard ,Mostaffa 'the chosen one' from Recreation. But in particular 'Ahmed' from the beach bar who served us wonderful lunches by the beach. All the staff at Acopulco Joe's cafe. The head Bar man Soliman from The" Lobby Bar."Soliman had a really nice way with the hotel clientele. Thank you Guys for helping to make a truly magical Holiday. The Hotel organises lots of Activities big thanks to Adam from the water sports department who became a real friend over those seven days. And to Safi from Roxy Tours . I can say now that the Quad biking,camel riding,star gazing,fire show ,Belly dancing and Bedouin dinner in the desert was amazing. The Hotel also has its own Spa. And a many thanks to the Staff from the "Royal Spa Renaissance Hotel" for an excellent massage. But special thanks to 'Tarek' who's very careful hands gave me my first ever Turkish shave and head massage. Which I really enjoyed. I would like to mention the wonderful food that was cooked at the Hotel's "Coast international restaurant'. I have never been a great lover of all inclusive Hotel deals because the food can often be too much the same.So I decided to go half board. BUT when I Arrived at the Hotel for dinner I was so impressed with the food at the Renaissance. Everyday the breakfast was delicious. With the staff serving freshly squeezed orange juice and pots of hot coffee and a wonderful "Eggs Benidict".The Chefs work really hard. The menu changed everyday and the evening food was really great. The staff really deserve all the tips they earned. They are a credit to the Hotel. A final thanks to the Hotels "Front of house Staff"and special thanks to our assistant Front desk manager Adel Hassan who dealt with every request both quickly and efficiently and managed to be most charming at the same time. Although nothing in life ever perfect . The staff in this Hotel,the food and the sheer Elegance of the Hotels Design and sense of space and location. Really does make for a beautiful Holiday in Sharm El Shiek. This Hotel earned it's five stars from start to finish. One final impressive thing is that I had bought lots of heavy duty Mosquito cream and wipes recommended to me in London. Only to find that the Hotel took the trouble to lite small discreet smoking fires in the evening and well away from the main . From which the Smoke kills the Mosquitos. I never used it!! I was at this hotel one week a go 4.04.2015 and i want to say this:it is ok hotel,not really 5 stars,but for Egypt probably one of the best,i was 4 times in Egypt and i know what i am say....room very nice and large,the food are good but not varied enough,the beach...it is not a sandy beach how you expect,you have only a jetty for scuba and snorkeling...the fishes and corals in the red sea are spectacular,i've stayed in the water many hours....the personal of the hotel are ok,i want to name it on Jeordy(ibrahim for recreation) and Ahmed from beach boy personal,a young man to eat to much sugar,you have to love them,they are angels...the main problem at this hotel:to many steps from the beach to reception,you have 115steps to claim at list 3 times per day

It was beautiful, the rooms were big and spaceous the beds were massive and comfortabe, the look of the place was perfect but, the food and the service let it down. The italian restaurant in the hotel was bad, very slow and the waitors could be rude the reception and general staff were lovely and kind and couldnt do enough for you but the trip planners are a bit dodgy you need them to make it clear for you what it is exacly that you are paying for or you will get lied to on a trip to try and get more money out of you egypt is beautiful and i will deffenetly be going back there just not back to this hotel!
"Beautiful Hotel and Coral reefs"

If you are middle aged and would like to stay young. Renaissance Sharm El Sheikh is your choice. Let me explain my reasons, first of all, the coral beach on the left side of the hotel is incredible. If you snorkel, you will see plenty of coral reefs fish of different types and colors. I guarantee you that your blood pressure will be lowered tremendously after the second day. Snorkeling is the best way to exercise and enjoy the coral reefs. My second reason, if you stay next to the sea, you have plenty of hills and staircases to take, which I believe it is beneficial for your health. I just loved it. The hotel is nice and the breakfast is okay. The location is perfect if you like diving and snorkeling. There is a nearby walking distance "Mercato" Mall that has few restaurants and shops. Plenty of places to go to via inexpensive taxis.
