Overall it was a great stop over on the way back to Calais...fantastic front of house, superb breakfast and a lovely little old french town with lots of character.

Comfortable room, convenient laundry facilities, friendly and helpful desk clerks. Got a great rest between Giverny and Beaune.

Very friendly desk personnel; nice room and location near major sites - the cathedral and many restaurants within easy walking distance. One caution - if you park in the nearby public garage, take your ticket with you!!! You cannot get back in without it and may not be able to get your car when you want it. Also, Joan of Arc House is a good slide show, but not really a tour of a home from that period - and closed on Mondays...FYI

Hotel has a charming property and situation, with beautiful gardens and setting. The interiors are a bit worn and dated, but very clean. Food was average. Bed and pillows were not terribly comfortable, and noise can be a problem if you are close to the elevator and central staircase. The best assets of the hotel were the competent and charming staff, and the proprietress. Service was excellent. I would recommend the hotel as a basic hotel in a good location for touring the Loire Valley, though the town of Tavers is a bit off the beaten track. It is only 5 minutes drive from Beaugency, which offers a crossing to the south side of the Loire, as well as good access to highways and scenic routes alike.

The Grand Hotel was completely renovated in 2012, located in the city center only 5 minutes walk from the train station, the historic center, museums, Loire.

"Petites choses à revoir..."
L'emplacement est idéal mais il y a cependant 2 ou 3 choses à revoir et qui font que 79€ pour une nuit, c'est assez cher. La porte d'entrée de notre chambre était plus étroite que la porte du placard à balai qui était à côté! Dans la chambre, les murs étaient plutôt minces et nous entendions beaucoup les voisins. La porte des toilettes fermait très […] mal et s'ouvrait toute seule ce qui n'est pas très agréable quand on est à l'intérieur... "Confortable et facile d'accès"
L'hôtel est bien situé, facile d'accès et proche de toutes les facilités d'Orléans. Nous avons garé notre voiture dans un endroit sécurisé et fait toutes nos visites à pied. La chambre était très propre et confortable; le seul petit bémol: notre chambre donnait sur la rue et on entendait les gens dans la rue jusqu'à environ 1h00 AM. Le reste de la nuit […] était tranquille. L'accueil fut très chaleureux, l'homme qui nous a reçu (le proprio?) a été très gentil et nous a prodigué de bons conseils de visite et de restos.
