The hotel room was enormous and very well-kept. For the price, I don't think I could have got a better value anywhere. The staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful. Hotel was fine, but the maid service was disappointing. Our maid did not change our sheets, wash the glasses, etc, that I expect as standard service. Shower was hand held and the holder was only waist high, so you cannot stand under the shower. The bath tub leaked. They had two twin beds instead of a queen, which is standard in Europe; however unlike […] other places the beds kept moving apart while we slept which was annoying. The free airport shuttle is only for coming FROM the airport at a few specific times; it does not take you to the airport. The taxi the hotel will book for you is not very reliable. However for the price, it is ok; the tram stop is only a 2 minute walk and the metro is only a 10 minute walk. If you can afford to stay closer to the Old Town though, do that. Read more

Service at this hotel was excellent. We had a room in the new wing, new furniture, very clean, bathroom was also updated and very clean. The AC worked AWESOME very quiet and kept the room very cool in the hot summer month of july. there was a couch that could probably fold out to a bed that could sleep the second person or more people, room was roomy. […] Really excellent stay, flat screen tv with many channels (few in english tho - mostly italian, czech, russian... etc) Bed was comfortable, safe in room. There was only one negative - NO WIFI in the room. there was only one corner of the room where we could pickup wifi so the facetime conversations were not as comfortable. wifi works great in lobby and common couch areas and there are many couches to lounge on even after check out we hung out and browsed our next tours from in the hotel lobby. Location is away from the old town so its quieter, it is in the very nice Vinohrady district, there are trams less than a block away, and subways about 5 minutes away (Namesti Miru or I.P. Pavlova). there are also 4 restaurants/wine bar on the same block. modern key cards allow you to enter any time of night, and also turn all the lights off for you when you leave the room. the bell will lock your bags for you too if you arrive early or are leaving town later after checkout. It is really hard to evaluate the hotel "Galileo" in Prague: when we arrived in there, they simply transferred us to the similar hotel "Paga1", because, as they said, their hitting system had to be repaired. The location itself is convenient but we can't evaluate neither their services nor facilities. It is all for "Praga1", which is a different story. […] I suspect though that the quality of this hotel is about the same: in a couple of words, it is a place to go after a whole day passed in beautiful Prague, but not more than that. This hotel was great. It's not located in the main tourist areas but it's also not far away from the train station (Namesti Miru) which connects you to all of the main tourist areas and the airport. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful and they all spoke English. There's breakfast in the morning. The rooms were nice and were more than I expected […] for the amount of money I paid. There was internet service in the main hotel lobby. There's even a bunch of restaurants located in the area which are much cheaper than the kind of restaurants that you will encounter in the main tourist areas. This is a wonderful hotel in a nice, quiet residential section of Prague. There are lovely restaurants and cafes right across the street and it is only a 5-10 minute walk to the metro so you can get everywhere in the city within a matter of minutes. This hotel is absolutely fantastic. From the moment you enter( a beautiful wooded door that opens with a sensor) the reception staff were fantastic, and very helpful. Great reccomendations. In the main the staff were helpful and pleasant however the night porter was rude on every occasion. When asked why we were not allocated a smoking room as requested and booked, he said "you can't expect me to read every form, I would be here for hours!" The young lady on reception in the mornings was delightful as were the girls in the cafeteria.

Not the prettiest of hotels in the freezing weather but once inside you are sure of a warm welcome. The room was a good size with double bed, as well as sitting room with seating that could be turned in to additional beds. We were surprised to find no restaurant at the hotel, only a breakfast service which was a little disappointing in a 4 star hotel. […] Not having a restaurant was really only an issue on the evening of our arrival, it woud have been good to eat in the hotel rather than having to explore immediatly looking for a meal. The hotel is excellent for families, the room we had was spacious and very clean. The shower was of the walk-in type and there were plenty of English-speaking channels on the TV. I stayed 5 nights at the Galileo and loved it. The hotel is just outside the old town but still within walking distance with a tram and metro station just around the corner. Excellent hotel in a nice street. Good selection of bars in the immediate vicinity, with both tram and metro stops less than ten minutes walk away. Was surprised as hotel was even better than I imagined. We were given a room in the new building which was very large and modern. There were 3 of us sharing out room but there were not any issues of us being cramped in instead there was a vast amount of space, the main bed was huge and my sofa bed was extremely comfortable, and there was a personal […] greeting message on the huge flat screen when I arrived- they have put a lot of consideration into the new section which was again show by the layout of the hotel, computers and sofas to relax downstairs, and a dining hall with glass windows on the top floor, with a range of food. Only downside was you could hear people from our room scraping their chairs along the floor but it didn't bother us too much, that and the slightly grouchy female receptionist were our only minor faults otherwise it was an excellent 4 day stay.
