Room was small. No bath tub just shower. TV was a first edition 17" iMac with a TV converter. Served a purpose as an over night stay but would consider elsewhere for a longer stay. Breakfast was OK. Not much different from a nice Premier Inn only double the cost. Hotel was clean.

This hotel was in a perfect location right at a bus stop. The room was a bit small for American standards (no place to do yoga) but it was comfy. I stayed for a week and the staff was always cleaning the building. It was such a nice environment! The food was really good and the chef was always around.

My girlfriend and I stayed for a few days while visiting friends and family and were very pleased. The "hotel" is a brand new apartment complex with a small reception just inside the entrance. Rooms were big, bright and well appointed. Location is fantastic, right next to the Arndale Centre. The only complaint about the entire place was that the sofa-bed wasn't the comfiest. Will definitely stay here again!

Bolton, 10 miles north-west of Manchester, is home to the neoclassical Bolton Town Hall, which opened in 1873. An earlier addition to the town is Ye Olde Man and Scythe pub, which dates from 1251, and is one of the oldest public houses in Britain. I have stayed here before so had an expectation which wasn't met this time. Service in the bar was poor - I had to wait over an hour for a chicken curry which was tasteless (there is a great pud / dining just up the road which I used the second night). Booked this for an event with firiends, hotel was ideal for our needs. Room was spotless as was bathroom and toilet, lovely grounds around the hotel, tables and cushioned seats outside. Breakfast was amazing.

First time we have stayed here on business, and it’s a very nice comfortable convenient hotel just several minutes drive to Bolton or Darwen. The very friendly staff made us welcome. It was my wife’s birthday whilst we were away, and the hotel manager provided us both with a complementary glass of Champaign and we had a lovely evening meal. We also […] enjoyed the bar food, which was equally as good. The Stornoway Black Pudding at breakfast was fabulous, as was Kim our morning waitress who fetches more if you praise any item. The room we stayed in was overlooking the established gardens. The room was clean, warm and very comfortable and appeared to have been freshly decorated. There is ample free parking and large gardens to walk in, and the location is set well back of the main road. Certainly would stay again, and have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel. Read more

When travelling I try really hard not to stay in Budget Chain Hotels as there are lots of smaller hotels that are much better value for money. The Egerton House Hotel is another fantastic find, a really comfort hotel with a great breakfast and perfect location. So much better than a Holiday Inn Express and cheaper...

There are some burn marks on carpet in the room we stayed. My husband ordered rare for his steak, and the meat was delivered midium. The breakfast was meant to start at 8:00 on Sunday, and was delayed for 20 minutes. I was told off for sitting in the dining room for dinner, as we were supposed to go to the launge first before eating/ would it been nice […] to be told beforehand! Also, there was regular dripping sounds from the hot water system (presumably) However, there are also good things about the hotel. Bed is clean and confortable, all the staff except one were nice and friendly. Read more

I was here for a wedding, its a nice enough hotel -- has a bit of character to it, decent English breakfast included. Convenient to town and the motorway, some nice bars and restaurants near-ish by.
