ATLANTIC HOTEL - Chateau-d'Olonne

The only thing that bothered me was the rather expensive(though excellent) breakfast at 16 euros. Otherwise this is a great hotel.

This calm and peaceful hotel offers a wonderful opportunity to relax by the pool or in the garden with gloriously large hydrangeas. There are horses pastured around the property which made my child happy since one of them was pregnant and another was nursing her colt. Our room, in the far less appealing Verge section near the pool, included a very comfortable bed and a room that made for superb restful sleep. The little bistro tables stationed at every room was a great place to have breakfast and ease into our day. We wished that we could have stayed longer and look forward to returning. My only warning is that you should make dinner reservations in advance if you plan on eating at the hotel. The only other reliable food options were 30 meandering min. away, which we did not enjoy after an already long day of driving to reach the hotel.

Had a great stay in this hotel spacious room (quadruple room) to accommodate two adults and two small children. Great breakfast and a very warm welcome made for a memorable stay.

We wanted a balcony to chill out after a walk and a bit of beach etc with bottle of wine and although this likes to make it out it's actually on the front and it isn't quite, it stuill gets lots of sun and is reasonably appointed. It is worth paying the extra - you can see the sea through a decent gap and you are about 50 yards from the beach. It was fine for our purpose, close to the port for food in the evening and the breakfast we had on last day was resonable - you can boil an egg etc.
