LOVERS POINT INN - Pacific Grove

The location was great. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and adequate.

Walk along the cliffs across the street and see the sea lions, walk to downtown Pacific Grove; easy drive anywhere on Monterey Bay.

The hotel is in a good location for walking along the ocean. The office staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel room was small and a little dated. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. But if you only want a place where you can relax with a walk or drive along a very scenic shore this is a good place for you.

Based on the information provided I expected a nice room with a jacuzzi with a king bed with an ocean view. I thought the price was worth the king room and jacuzzi and a king bed, but I don't think it was worth the price I paid. I got a room that stunk like cigarette smoke, and had a bathroom that was so small that even a child had an issue getting […] in the bathroom. We enjoyed the stay. Right now is the perfect time with beautiful,pink carpets of ice plant are in bloom,beautiful Lone Pine scenery, interesting rock piles,beaches,endless discovery,photo shot spots.... The Inn is across from the ocean front park so very easy to enjoy sun rise,sun set ,walks etc..... I booked five rooms here because I wanted to treat my family to a stay near the beach. The location is perfect and the staff very friendly. I thought it worked out perfect for what I wanted. We went to the aquarium, then dinner and finally hung out at the beach. In the morning the breakfast was just enough to start the day and then we all went down […] to the beach again. The only thing I will say is the bathrooms were really small and for those who only had one or two people in the room it was fine but for those of us with four in a room it was a little crowded. The location of the hotel was tremendous, awesome to get up and go for a walk in the morning. Very nice staff and welcome. At night was a challenge and in the morning. Floor above was extremely noisy walking around and could hear every time the toilet flushed or shower went on. OK for one night. Bathroom was way too small for comfort. Room had two queen beds, but was really too small for two adults and two children.

It is in a great location although too far to walk to the wharf. The hotel barely has an ocean view and the room was configured strange with the beds toe to toe. Very small toilet.shower room with no private area to dress. The fridge was right next to my head and ran off and on all night. Nice people at the front desk.

This hotel was a great find. It lacks a star rating which might deter some. Don't let that fool you. Me and my girlfriend stayed the night here and it is perfect. A room on the 2nd or 3rd floor is best for a little more privacy, but the distance from the beach is great. The surrounding area has some cute tourist shops, and it is a quick drive into Monterey […] as well. We enjoyed our stay at The Lovers Point Inn. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. The rooms were small and somewhat dated, but we loved the location. It was just over a mile walk along the coast to get to Canary Row and Lovers Point beach was just across the street. the bathrooms are definitely small but they serve their purpose well. We were so close to the ocean and a fantastic view. We would stay here again. The employees were great! Very helpful and welcoming. Thank you for a great stay!

This was the perfect hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. When we got into the elevator to go to our room and it smelled clean we knew we had made the right choice. The decoration of the room made it feel like they had taken the extra step to make our stay a pleasant one. I will most definitely stay here again....

The rooms are dated but clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The best thing was by far the location - right on the ocean.

I thought for the price and description, the room was a little pricey. Beds are too firm and squeaky. Heat was inadequate for the room and location. Ocean view obstructed by Borgs Motel. We prefer bed and breakfast Inns.

The location of Lovers Point Inn is fabulous. We walked to Cannery Row, the Aquarium, and the beach walking trail. But the hotel itelf is very outdated, the rooms only moderately comfortable, and the mattress is our room so soft that my back hurt for three days after leaving the hotel. 3rd floor room with no view. Very small room, but comfortable bed and chairs. Adequate buffet breakfast. From prior reviews, had expected a view and a somewhat larger room.

The hotel has small rooms but very comfortable. The staff is outstanding and very personable. The location is out of the way and quiet. The nearby park is an outstanding setting and worthy of its name "Lovers' Point." Bring a bike to use the bike trail.You can easily visit Monterey's Cannery Row and the Aquarium. We stayed at room 219, we had some ocean view. The room is kind of small.

the service was excellent and staff very warm and welcoming. unfortunately the rooms were very outdated, cramped, and had this horrible musky smell to it. it was in desperate need of paint, especially in the bathroom and the carpets needed to be replaced. the location was very nice though with the beach being a stones throw away. i just could not bring […] myself to stay here again unless they did some major overhaul on renovations. The staff were extremely helpful - I was there for a weekend full of events and I needed an extra mirror, extra hangers and 24 hour accessto an iron and ironing board! They made all of this happen fopr me. I was attending an event in Pebble Beach and it was a very convenient location.

We enjoyed our weekend here - can't beat the location. The hotel is very clean and neighborhood is lovely and very safe. Limited views of the bay from the rooms, but it is only steps away from the lobby. Parking is convenient. The only complaint we had was that the bed was VERY firm. Overall, we would definitely come here again.

The location does not get any better, If you do not have a view from your room do not worry a 30 second walk has you in the park right on the beach with a long walking path along the beach. The room is just OK, The staff is great and very helpful, and by the way you will never want to be in your room anyway.

nice people at the front desk. great customer service. we stayed on the third floor.. the ocean view is not great because the hotel "borgs" is right in front and blocks most of your view. the rooms should be remodeled! 7 different colors in our room, walls, drapes, bed, bathroom, everything different colors. walls were very thin as we could hear the […] neighbors chatting. window and door trim very thin as well. so if you plan on "doin it" expect everyone else to hear. it is ok for a cheap price. needs remodeling!! When checking in I told them I wanted it charged to my credit card but instead they put it as a debit on my checking. The room is small, outdated, the bed was well worn and there really isn't any excitment in staying at this hotel. The only good thing is that they provided a good continental breakfast. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend it.

Great location. Friendly staff. Awesome view of the Monterey Bay/Pacific Ocean. Only gripe is you can see the view of the water from the floor. The ice machine can get noisy.

My husband and I loved the hotel in Pacific Grove. We walked all over and there is a bike path to Monterey. employees were very friendly and helpful I had lived in PG 52 years ago and I wanted to see the changes. I loved it.

Great location-good trails, walking distance to Cannery Row. Did get 3rd floor room for ocean view, but view was ocean over the roof of the hotel in front of us. Still a good deal.

had a great two night stay here. perfect location! beautiful views and a great trail that goes all the way to the aquarium and up to asilomar. the room was small but very clean and all the staff were very helpful and so friendly. i would definitely stay here again for the great price and location!
