"close to sights/shopping"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
We loved it - great location, staff and breakfast. Lovely, large second floor room.
"Nice Place"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The Hotel was clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi was free in the lobby. It was a short walk from where the airport bus dropped us off and shopping/restaurants. Most of the tourist spots are a bit farther, but still very walkable.
"Good Value"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The Ardmore is a clean, modern hotel that has power showers and staff that are friendly. The food served is well prepared and affordable. For the money it can't be beat, but if you want nice pillows, soft towels& cozy bedding then you should spend the extra money to get them. Those of us who prefer value over the little "extras" would love this hotel. The 15 minute bus ride into downtown wasn't bad unless you JUST missed the bus and have to wait another twenty minutes to get on. It is a great location for a first night into Dublin or your last because it is only 15 minutes to the airport!
"Wonderful hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
The westbury is a great hotel, very clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they bent over backwards to make sure we were happy. I absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to travel to Dublin soon!

Dublin Airport is 10 kilometres north of the city centre. It is a relatively small but busy and expanding gateway, and is undergoing major redevelopment, with a new terminal to be added in 2010. An Airlink bus service provides a direct connection with Dublin city centre in around 30 minutes.
see all hotels in DublinIt was fine and served its purpose. clean, comfortable, convenient, decent food. No problem
"close to airport"
Room was comfortable, clean, although there were stains on the chair seats, bathroom clean. had a meal in the bar, food was good, staff were friendly, had to fly out early morning, asked me if I needed wake up call, and what time I should be in Lobby to be picked up by free airport shuttle. free wifi worked fine.

"generally good"
I booked this hotel to stay the night before leaving Dublin. It was convenient for the return of my rental car (Enterprise isn't with the others but is next to this hotel) and it only took 5 minutes to get to the airport the next morning. My only complaints are that the breakfast is very expensive for what is really basic serve-yourself food (E25), […] and there was not only no hairdryer in the room, there wasn't a plug for one in the bathroom so I could use my own. For a hotel that is supposed to be of this caliber, I was quite surprised. It was also a little run down, though that's not uncommon in Dublin hotels. Otherwise, it was a good choice for me. "Great hotel near airport"
Very comfortable hotel, staff very friendly. Great place to stay for convenience to the airport.
"good experience"
very convenient to airport but yet does not feel like an airport hotel. staff very helpful, shuttle is great and very user friendly. Rest. has a nice menu.overall a good experience. This is my 4th stay here, It is good for layover on way to continental Europe.
"Good hotel for airport stay"
Have stayed there probably four times in the last two years. Comfortable, good rooms with good toiletries, friendly staff, great location to the airport. The hotel restaurant has always been slow in my experience, though the staff usually friendly. Just not on top of their game. It needs better managers most likely. Also, some of the equipment in the […] fitness center could use a tune-up, but the room is clean and spacious. Besides those two things, I like this hotel. It's a cut above the others right near the airport in my opinion. If I can find deals to stay here rather than the others, I'd do so. Read more
Have stayed 4 times at the Carlton and each time find the staff accomodating and the rest. is more than adaquate. It is so convenient to the airport and the shuttle is pleasant although it is a good walk from the exit of terminal . but its good fresh air after being on a plane all night. It is a good place and nice people....
Furnishings and overall conditions of rooms were a bit run down but staff were very helpful and location close to airport was convenient
"Very comfortable and close to Dublin airport"
Great hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Located in Swords with several places to eat and very close to airport. Only 10 minutes to Dublin Centre. Only complaint was use of wireless internet was entirely too complicated. Minor annoyance.
"Convenient, clean hotel with good fitness facility"
Nice clean, convenient (very close to airport) hotel. Has a fitness facility with LifeFitness treadmills - or you can run outdoors (park nearby for walking/running). They were doing work nearby so it was a bit noisy at night (yes they were working all through the night on a Sat!)....but don't think that was typical. Also nice restaurant - had lunch […] the next day before flight which was delicious plus they were very accommodating with a late check-out. Read more
"Great hotel near Dublin airport"
Very nice hotel, clean, well-appointed room with balcony, nice staff, great restaurant, great location near the airport with convenient shuttle service.
"Carlton Dublin Airport"
We would have give it a perfect score, except the shower curtain would not hang in the bath, it flopped on the tub edge and dripped water on the floor.
"nice hotel, very comfortable."

"Convenient to airport"
We stayed here the night before our flight back to the US, and it was very pleasant. We dropped our rental car off, took their shuttle to the airport, then took the hotel shuttle to the hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable. Had a nice dinner in the restaurant, got a good night's sleep, then took their shuttle back to the airport in the morning […] in time to catch our flight. A pleasant, convenient way to end our vacation in Ireland. Read more
"Carlton Hotel, Dublin Ireland"
Fantastic Hotel. Easy to get to town. Bus stop right outside of hotel. Easy on, easy off. Food was fantastic also! Just a few minute ride to the airport. Will stay there again!
"Best of Dublin airport (DUB) onsite hotels"
Have now tried all 3 - Radisson, Comfort, & Carlton, and this just barely beats the others in Staff, amenities, and Value. The only, and really only thing it gives up to the others is the location of its shuttle van pickup/drop-off at the airport - it is an additional 50meters walk from the terminals. FYI all shuttle locations are outside of Terminal […] #1. Read more
"Dublin Carleton Airport Hotel"
The first room that we were given had a handicapped bathroom (we are not handicapped) which has a strange layout if you do not need it. The next room given to us was stifling hot and the air conditioner was not working. We had to return to the front desk for the third time to have them turn it on. Shouldn't they do that when assigning a room? We had […] to go to the front desk 3 times because you could never get through on the phone. All the doors and furniture are scuffed up and look very worn. The shower head in the bathroom is mounted so high that the shower curtain has to be mounted so high that it barely reaches the edge of the tub so water splashes out. There is no ventilation/fan in the bathroom so that by the time you take a shower the entire bathroom is wet and has to be wiped down. The mattress was very hard (and I normally like a firm mattress). We ate in the restaurant and the service was less than average. The only good thing about this hotel was the proximity to the rental car return. Overall, I was very disappointed and would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Read more
"close to airport"
Considering the closeness to airport it was remarkably quiet. Only five minutes to terminal. We were given a handicapped room although we had no need for one but for anyone who would need one it had a roll in shower and elevated toilet seat. Roomy enough. Pleasant restaurant with good food.

"Helpful staff"
I stayed for 1 night on 9/24/11. While eating at the hotel I realized I had left my wallet in a cab coming in from Dublin. Ashleigh and Emer were at the desk. They made great effort and many phone calls to contact the pub where I had been. The pub contacted the taxi Co, who found the driver, who found my wallet and delivered it back to the hotel. Prayers […] to St Anthony were even offered by the staff who had gone way above the expected to help me out. I left Ireland with a great feeling for Dublin and the Carleton hotel! Read more
"Airport stay"
VERY convenient to airport (5 minute shuttle); rooms are quiet with little airplane noise despite proximity; wonderfully comfortable bedding; welcoming and helpful staff. Didn't use restaurant but menu looked ok.
"perfect for a close to airport hotel"
For between flights this is a perfect hotel, very close to the airport, has free shuttle service and is very peaceful and quiete. Much quieter than downtown Dublin. Rooms are very spacious and super-clean. Restaurant was pretty good too. Would highly recommend.
Due to a super early flight I needed a place to stay near the airport. This place was clean, quiet and the staff was friendly and helpful. Oh, and there is free wireless throughout.
"Very nice, clean, reasonably-priced hotel."
On-time airport van service. Located near airport, but not within walking distance to any shops or entertainment.
"Noise at night"
I stayed at the Carlton Hotel the night before a very long journey back to San Diego. I was woken twice in the morning at 3 AM and 4 AM because of some drunk people banging on doors and screaming, laughing etc - this was really bad and really left a bad taste in my mouth - it appeared there was no security to take care of this. Plus in the shuttle on […] the way to the airport, I heard some fellow travellers complain about the same thing. Read more

"Carlton Dublin Hotel"
Hotel was conveniently located near Dublin airport, they have a shuttle that runs to airport every half hour and once we found the drop-off point (all the way around at the end of all the bus stops) it was ok. The hotel staff was very helpful and arrival/departure very efficient. The room was clean and comfortable. We ate in the hotel restaurant - there […] isn't much in the area and we didn't feel like going into town - and the food was fine. Our only complaint, and the reason I downgraded the stay to average, was that the hotel is starting to look run-down a little and the upholstery of chairs and rug in the room were all in need of cleaning. That being said, the bed and linens were clean and comfortable, the bathroom was clean. Just the upholstery. But given the location and the convenience, I would stay there again. Read more

"Carlton - Dublin Airport"
No issues at hotel. Easy shuttle to/from airport. Good food at the hotel restaurant. Bus stop out front which is approximately a 20 minute ride to center of city. Not much else close to hotel but bus ride into city very easy and affordable (E3.60 for round trip)
"Carlton Hotel Dublin Airport"
Great hotel. Based on rate was expecting it to be dated but very stylish and updated. Rooms were very nice but if you get a double room beware that the twin beds are very small - comfortable but small!!! Even with that - great hotel that I would highly recommend!

"Four stars hotel"
The hotel in general is comfort and cozy, I don’t believe it is a real 4 stars hotel. However, the staff is very nice which is normal for the Irish people. There is a 15 Euros extra charge for the breakfast which is not understandable. Overall, I enjoyed my short stay there and I am satisfied in regard to Hotels.com rate.
"Modern and Comfortable"
This hotel was a welcome change from some of the dumpier places we stayed in while in Europe. We opted for this hotel because of an early flight out of Dublin and I wasn't disappointed. Modern amenities and fairly posh-feeling. I even took a bubble bath--that's how clean the tub and bathroom were. I would definitely recommend it. And, there is free […] shuttle service to and from the airport that is always on time. Great place! Read more
"Hard bed hot room"
The mattress was hard and low quality. The AC was turned off on August 26th! The window latch was broken and so the window could not be opened. HOT! Service in the restaurant was slow. Food was reasonable in taste and very high in price. 24 dollars for a hamburger and fries.

"Partys go on while trying to sleep"
21st birtday party kept me up all night. I reported it to the night manager, and he did noting. I spoke to the Day Manager and she was helpful, The Breckfast i got was so bad and cold and the service was late and he forgot most of the things, The Manager took , it of the bill, I could not change rooms because the rose of Tralee was on which took up […] most of the rooms , so trow the other guest in the worst rooms, I stayed 3 Nights because i prepayed it. If i could have left and gone to other hotel i would have. The best thing was seeing my family in Ireland. The next time i will stay with them Read more
"Great room for the money;"
The bus picked us up/dropped us off near the hotel so we could enjoy Dublin without a car. The shuttle service was exceptional. The room was quiet--for being near the airport--and comfortable.
"Great room for the money, if you are there for a night to catch early flight"
Close to airport, very comfortable (but pricey for food); however, far for sightseeing. Ideal for an overnight stay to catch an early flight.

"Great hotel - very convenient for travel!"
This hotel is seriously 3 minutes from the airport - a plus for me because my international flight left at 6AM. The rooms were very well maintained. I noticed this was the only place in Ireland that had air conditioning in the rooms because normally the weather is cool enough for everyone to leave their windows open. A real plus for my boyfriend who […] needs AC constantly! The restaurant closes at 10PM and there are no vending machines or places around the hotel to grab a snack so that was our only downfall. Didn't hear the airplanes very much either, even though its half a mile from the airport! Read more
