Ushuaia Ibiza Beach Hotel - Ibiza Island

Our schedule only allowed us a one night stay but next time i will consider this a destination stay. Service was excellent and the room with balcony overlooking the pool was very cool. We also ate at the Sushi Restaurant on the premises which was also great.

Hotel was nice but it's only a few years old and the clientelle it attracts will destroy it before too long. For what you pay, I found the lack of cleanliness around the pool, the garbage and contraband refuse under the beach chairs, the thousands of pieces of gum on the decking around the pool and the damage to a number of the beach chairs really unacceptable. […] The bar staff at the pool and outside restaurant were nice and the mojitos and the sangria were exceptional. The wait staff at the pool was a little lax in their attentiveness but were much better on the beach. The wireless internet sevice is attrocious and unacceptable in 2012. It worked in one of our rooms and only on the balcony of the other room. It went down almost daily and we needed to call and their answer was to bring you a new password when they probably have a garbage router that simply needs constant rebooting. I found the lack of english understanding waitstaff annoying which often led to errors in our orders. The front desk personnel were very nice yet prior to arrival I sent an email request for pool view rooms which went ignored and upon arrival they accommodated the request for one room and not the other and didn't even offer upgrade opportunities. The Monday and Thursday pool parties were well attended and fun and the production is really well done! Overall a pretty cool hotel although I'm not sure I'd return. I found the pricepoint well above that of the clientelle and overall experience. 3.5 stars! Read more

This isn't the Four Seasons or the St. Regis or any other 5 star hotel that you've probably stayed at but it is an amazing hotel if you love world class DJ's and a party atmosphere for grown ups. The service is truly awful, disorganised staff, the staff member that showed me to my room, didn't actually know where the room was, we got lost and ended up spending 10 minutes wandering round the hotel. When I first checked into my room in the afternoon, my floor was still wet from cleaning hours earlier. During my 3 day stay it was 28-30 degrees Celsius outside, and they could never get my Air Conditioner to work properly. They came and looked at it each day, but the room temperature never got below 25-26 degrees. I suspect it was because there was […] a sensor to limit it when the balcony doors was open and this must have been faulty, but the hotel service man didn't understand this and just went into the room checked the pipes and said "Ok, working now" each time. Not really the sort of service you would expect for the price of the hotel. Having arrived at the hotel during the closing weekend of Ibiza we weren't at all surprised to see lots of party goers! We unfortunately were not directed to our room initially and with the closing party of Ushuaia, the staff seemed very pre-occupied unfortunately, we found our selves walking into no entry zones that had been prepared for the party […] of the year! Having waited for 45min after check-in we finally were seen to our room with out any help to take our luggage to the room. The room was spacious and had a view of the club house pool, though the bedroom had a huge window looking through to the bathroom with no blinds!! (We were told all rooms had a modern twist - and privacy wasn't an option). The Ushuaia closing party was nothing but amazing, and a must see!! From the day after the closing party the hotel staff could not do enough for us and the rest of the stay was fab. Imma at concierge was lovely and went out of her way to ensure our first visit to Ibiza was to give us brilliant lasting memories. She booked Lunch and Blue Marlin, and was willing to book dinner at Lio, KM5 and Banbuddha. She ensured we had a fun packed stay with a good mix of relaxing. The breakfast at the hotel was prefect with a lot of variety for veggie's and the healthy ones amongst us too with fresh smoothies and lots of fruit. The japanese restaurant, pool bar and beach front restaurant had a lot of variety which was very reasonable. The only thing that let this hotel down was the cleaning staff, when we'd return back to our room after being out for the whole day, we'd still find our room not cleaned with no fresh towels. To stay at the Ushuaia is a must and to experience the closing party of the season is also a must! Overall this hotel has every thing you could want for a partying/relaxing holiday and we highly recommend it, with the hope to visit it next year! Read more

i was a bit nervous having read all of the negative reviews, but from the moment of arrival this hotel was fantastic. The service upon arrival was great, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel decor was beautiful, the pool area was gorgeous with very comfortable sunbeds. The room was quite small but more than adequate, with very thoughtful […] details - including large mirrors (to accommodate a room with 3 girls!), black out curtains, sound proof back doors and lots of accessories including shampoos, hair straightners etc. We had also been warned that we would be unable to have visitors, this was not the case. Guests just had to sign in and leave identification with reception and they were able to sit by the pool with us. We were only gutted that due to the dates of our stay and our existing plans we were unable to experience one of the amazing pool parties. We were there until 8pm on the Tuesday for Superbeach and it was incredible..... next year we will definitely be returning for this! We just got back today. Negatives first: When we arrived it took 10 minutes before we were acknowledged in the lobby, the first thing they asked for when they established who we were was a credit card. We got to our superior twin room, there is no ipod docking station as stated on expedia, we asked them, apparently that is a mistake on this website. […] We looked for a welcome pack in the room to find details about the hotel, apparently it hadn't come back from the printers yet, despite being open for four weeks. The steam and sauna didn't not work, problems with the water apparently. We stayed for seven nights and not once did they change the sheets in the room. Our balcony had a view over a car park and a hotel next door. The sun beds located on the beach were at an extra charge, the only ones we could use for free were by the pool. Oh and the internet isn't free. The positives: The breakfasts were brilliant, all you can imagine, from smoked salmon and scrambled egg to crepes, fresh juices, smoothies, nespresso coffee machine and even cava if you felt like getting back on it. Thursday night was great, the pool party had around 5000 people and was well organised, even if they hiked up the prices of the drinks for the event. Top quality fun. The cocktails by the pool were excellent, the restaurant on the beach served great food, at a price of course. The overall style of the hotel is great, as you can see by the pictures. Read more

Hate to write a bad review and to be fair the hotel had opened a week before so there were obvious teething problems, but they simply shouldnt have been charging people to stay there when they clearly werent ready. Couldnt check in to our room for three hours after check in time. Was moved several times from where we sat at the pool, because they had […] a press conference in the back ground and they didnt want guests in the photo shots. Two single beds on WHEELS for a couple so not the most romantic weekend. No irons at the hotel at all... so a creased stay. Det finns starka + och starka - .... Swimuprum och dess pool är öppet för alla, gäller även ej boende på hotellet men som har biljett till partykvällarna. Allt satsas på partykvällarna och de är unika i sig, bättre afterbeach/pre-party får du leta efter! Hotellets stranddel med solstolar/sängar är bokningsbara - även för icke hotellgäster... och det […] finns bara ett 60-tal platser. Solsängarna vid poolen tas bort 15.00 under partykvällarna. Tycker du om party och liv - boka över några dagar, om du vill ha en längre vistelse med klass rekommenderar jag starkt ett annat hotell. Se upp med minibaren och allt som finns på rummet, olika rum har olika debiterbara prylar, undrar var resten finns?? Mina vänner fick oväntat besök i sitt rum med hotellpersonal som sprang in och slet upp minibaren och tog grejjer och sen försvann utan förklaring...??? Städerskan dök upp en kväll 21.30...dagen efter - inte alls. Vi var två sällskap som vid tre olika tidigare tillfällen önskat rum intill varandra, vi placerades längst ifrån varandra medan rummen brevid hos hade fått sina vänner som grannar (större sällskap)... Hotellet har en härlig omgivning med en rad olika skulpturer i hårdplast, någon har ägnat mycket tid på dessa och dess placeringar - väldigt läckert! Ciao ragazzi, con un amico ho deciso di andare a trascorrere tre notti in questo hotel dopo che mio fratello (che aveva soggiornato sull'isola qualche settimana prima..) me l'aveva decantato. In sintesi quest'albergo (in zona Paya Den Bossa) e' praticamente nuovissimo, costruzione 2011. L'ho chiaramente trovato curatissimo e nuovissimo. Al suo centro […] ha una bella e grande piscina, le camere sono ben fatte e i servizi sono abbastanza buoni: peccato soltanto la lentezza dei receptionist... Per vari giorni della settimana, alle h 17,00 parte "l'aperitivo" all'interno dell'hotel: in pratica tutti gli amanti della movida ibizenza e delle feste con i migliori djs, acquistano un ticket di ingresso per partecipare alla festa. La festa si svolge all'interno dell'albergo nell'area circostante la piscina. E' un vero delirio! Se aprivo la porta della mia camera (che avevo chiesto lato piscina) ero praticamente nel delirio piu totale, e per chi come noi avesse l'intenzione di trascorrere due o tre giorni alla grande, quest'albergo e' assolutamente da consigliare. Non badate al portafoglio, il ristorante cosi' come il servizio presso i lettini in piscina o al mare sono piuttosto cari. Ma del resto, cosa volete aspettarvi dall'albergo del momento? E' stata una fantastica esperienza, ci ritornero' sicuramente. Fate altrettanto voi, nel caso non cerchiate un soggiorno abbastanza low-cost! Read more
