Key Largo Bay Marriott Beach Resort - Key Largo

Overall I loved my stay at this hotel. It was very laid back. My room was just the standard room but still very clean and comfortable. The food was good and the pool and beach area were very beautiful. Will use this hotel again.

i dont understand how its possible to pay 200 usd per night for a " mariott" hotel and to get a bathroom of a motel with the washbowl out of the bathroom, in the middle of the room!!!

Nice hotel in a top location, ocean view was not so good, because a lot of palms are in the front of the rooms. There is just a very small beach, the water ist not clear. I payed too much ( 350 $ a night ) for this hotel. I stayed in a lot of better hotels for less money.

I bought a room contract which was to include breakfast. The booking confirmation email said nothing about breakfast. It took a call to Hotels.com to get this confirmed. When we got to hotel it took a lot of arguing to get breakfast and each morning it took more explaining and fussing. This hotel had small rooms and was a little tired for the price. T was surely clean but I found it quite loud past 10 pm and did not feel as posh or private as the price would command. I would not stay again. Beds were hard, not great pillows.

When I think of Marriott, I think of elegance and must admit to being a bit disappointed in my room. The building was older than I expected and looked like it needed modernizing. We were on the 4th floor with a great view of the ocean. The hotel staff were responsive and pleasant. We had a problem with regulating the temperature in the room, and with a single call to the front desk, there was someone to assist within 15 minutes - they replaced the thermostat simply on our report of the problem and had things corrected in very […] short order (within an hour or so). We had previously stayed at Cheeca Lodge in Islamorada and found it to be wonderfu. We had lesser expectations for the Marriott Resort in Key Largo, but found it to be an even better experience that Cheeka. Was expecting more of the room for the price but being high season I guess it was normal. Room/beds were very comfortable for a standard room. The location wasn't the nicest, being over the main entrance for parking and facing the main road. The pool and beach were perfect. Someone was always making sure the areas were clean, sand swept off lounge cushions […] etc. Lobby staff were helpful and eager to please. Fruit and cookies, internet access and boarding pass printer were nice touch. Perfect for a romantic getaway. Room was perfect with a beautiful view of the bay. The beach and pool area are very nice and maintained very well. I would stay here again. Lastly, the onsite diving center was great and would advise to go snorkeling with them.

We had a good time at this hotel. However, I will never ever use hotels.com again due to the bold face lies I was told during the booking stage and due to when I called to try and correct the problem I was treated very poorly.

We had never been to Key Largo before or any of the Keys for that matter. We drove down from Orlando after visiting Gatorland, Universal and the Kennedy Space Center. Although the hotel is dated and a bit tired, it did have a wonderful pool, restaurant/bar area with a singer, good food and Mai Tai's, beach area, tiki torches, hammocks and all kinds […] of water sports items for rent. The room was okay. The beds were comfortable, but really high off the ground. It didn't matter for our kids (9 and 11). But if my kids were younger, I'd be concerned about them falling off the bed! The bathroom was in desperate need of a makeover, but it was clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave the kids swim googles and us a list of family activities to do in Key West. We had a first floor unit because we arrived late and they were completely booked. If I stayed here again, I'd definitely request a top floor room overlooking the pool and beach area. Those rooms had huge balconies and a fantastic view of the sunset! Key Largo was one of the highlights of our vacation. Pennekamp State Park is just 1/2 mile away and offered snorkeling, glass bottom boats and kyaking. Snorkeling was much better here at the reef than our snorkel day trip in Maui - and a lot less expensive! Read more

They need new shower curtains. The room had a fridge but no microwave. It is an older hotel and it is showing it's age. However the location is good and close to most everything on the island. We came down for some diving and the onsite dive shop (Pirate Island) was very convienent. The beach is very small and gets rocky and grassy a few feet from the […] shore. I was OK with it but my wife wants to try some place different during our next dive trip. We stayed on the end with opening to the garage. The hotel was in a beautiful spot. The lobby staff were very helpful and the fruit water was delicious. The pool was beautiful and the hammocks were everywhere. We had read other reviews that mentioned the hotel is lovely, but is in need of some upkeep, and we would agree. The restaurant was excellent, both for an anniersary dinner with friends overlooking the water, and for breakfast. They have an excellent breakfast buffet. The omelet chef turned out a quite delicious omelet. They have several small areas […] where one can lay on a hammock, and these can all hold 2 adults, so some quiet relaxing is easy to find. A few problem areas could be remedied easily: the fit and finish of the hotel is not up to Marriott standards. We assumed this to be because Keys accomodations tend to be more relaxed. The first night we took showers before dinner, then upon returning to our room found a writhing pile of ants streaming out of the door frame in the bathroom. They rapidly moved our room to another, and gave us free breakfast vouchers for both mornings, and a free drink coupon. Our new room was not as nicely appointed as our first one, and they said we could move again in the morning but that was all that was availble that night. We opted not to move again. Overall these efforts to make up for the inconvenience were satisfactory to us and the staff was very helpful and attentive at all times. Read more

I love this hotel. This was the second time my wife and I stayed here and we had a great time. The pool and bar are is relaxed and close by. The parking is easy, but the best part of our stay was the on-site dive shop. These guys are great and will make your trip perfect. The best dive shop in Key Largo.

Light switches on the lamps did not work. The shower head spray felt like little needles on your skin. One of those conserve water heads that hurt when they spray. The door to the room weighs ~100 lbs.....tough to open.
