"One night at the Land mark!"
This stay was much less than expected. The resort was not busy and there were not many cars in the parking lot for building where our assigned room was located. The room was really dated. Dark brown colors and very drab. Poor lighting and TV units that were not contemporary and one did not respond to the remote We had a wonderful ground level parking […] lot rear view with two AC units below the window. Rooms with a lake view were probably available. The Land Mark has lost a customer and perhaps many more. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Did not get lake view and could only see trees outside the window. Otherwise it was good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Dark & dreary"
I suppose it's a step up from a cabin in the woods, but at $178 I expected better. The place was probably built a long time ago, when "light and airy" were pejorative terms, so if that's your thing (vampires and backwoodsmen) then you'll probably enjoy it more than I did. Unfortunately, the maintenance looks like it's been done by handymen; everything […] looks patched up and painted over, and over, and over again. For 50 bucks I would have been happy, or maybe if I had gotten a lake view instead of a parking lot view (although the windows were so tiny that it may not have made a big difference). I won't be going back. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

It was the perfect place to spend the night with my 2 sisters. It was clean, quiet and cozy. We all agreed we would do it again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was great to feel we had our own place to stay in. Beds and TV need updating. Would stay again and recommend to others.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The rooms are all condos - refirgerators, full kitchens, small decks. We had a 2 bedroom unit and the first floor bedroom was very small. The second bedroom was on the second floor. Only 1 bathroom. Restaurant on site had great fish fry on Friday night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Landmark exceeded our expectations! The suite we stayed in was spacious and decorated tastefully. The view from the Carrington restaurant was beautiful and the food was good and reasonable. We will definetly return to the Landmark for our next Door County vacation!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

We were pleasantly surprised with this place! So much nicer than the pictures allow! Has a real woodsy atmosphere. The pools were clean and well maintained. The rooms were much bigger than expected and cutely decorated. I would stay here again! Only minor downfall is the arcade, in need of serious renovation (my child was disappointed) oh well.
"Great Resort and Great views"

This was our 2nd time staying here, and just love everything about it. Location to all of Door County makes getting around easy. Very clean rooms and buildings along w/a full kitchen made it worth while. The outdoor grills were also a nice thing to have available. The views from the outdoor pool were spectacular. We even watched a storm roll in from the waters off of Green Bay. We will be back for sure. NOTE: Get a Premium room with the water view. It is worth the little extra money.
"Nice Rooms/nothing fancy"

We stayed at the Landmark 25 years ago.. and recently this fall.. It is a great spot for families or couples. We were there a short time and stayed in a woods unit. It was dated but clean and nice. I would expect they will be taking out the jumbo tvs and adding flat screens soon.. Would stay again.
"comfortable with awesome view"

This was our 2nd year to stay hear. It's not super modern, but very, very clean and very comfortable. We really appreciate the full kitchen and gas grills outside. Watched the moon and the stars from the comfort of a heated outdoor pool. Watched an amazing thunderstorm come across the bay. The location is high on bluff overlooking the Green Bay (the water, not the city), and it provides an amazing view of sunsets and sailboats. We will stay again
"Nice Resort with Great Views"

We have stayed at the Landmark for the past 5 years, and have been pretty please overall. The resort is tucked away from the traffic, and has great views of Green Bay, as well as well kept, pretty grounds. Although there are a lot of great amenities, including indoor/outdoor pools, as well as whirlpools in every building, and a nice restaurant right on the grounds, the place needs some minor updating to get it up to speed with the price that is charged. We stayed in the Harbor building, and the hallways are very dark/dim, and they smell a bit musty/moldy. The carpet looked a bit dirty as well. I have noticed this the past few seasons we have visited, and every year I hope it will be better when we return. The entrances & common areas of each building are so beautiful inside, why not put a little more effort into the hallways, how about some nice wall decor as well? Another update needed are within the rooms. Our room was clean, but the TV was an old tube TV with horrible picture quality, not a nice, modern flat screen. The microwave oven was probably 20 years old, too. The bed was very squishy, the mattress needed replacing, for sure. Lastly, for the very first time, we had a problem the last night we stayed there. The people staying in the unit above us were very noisy, and we were up most of the night because of all the running around up there. It continued at 7 am the next morning, and I did complain to the front desk the previous evening, as well as during checkout. I was a bit disappointed that a manager was not available to speak to us, and although the desk clerk was very pleasant, she did nothing to offer us any sort of compensation for our lost night of sleep. I love this resort, but I think we will try to stay in a top floor unit next time we stay, to avoid any more sleepless nights. Bottom line, this resort gets 5 stars for location, 3 stars for the rooms & halls needing updating, and 4 stars for customer service. Overall the Landmark is a beautiful place to stay, and with a few changes, could be perfect!
"Weekend in Egg Harbor"
09/02/14 Terry New Jersey
We spent the past weekend in Egg Harbor for a wedding at the Landmark Resort. Accommodations were very nice and views were great despite the rain. Since every room is a suite, we had a suite. Did not use the kitchen, but under different circumstances it would have been great to have. The multitude of outdoor heated pools and barbecues was great. Would recommend this for someone who does not need to be on main street Egg Harbor.
"Great location and grounds"

The Landmark Resort gets 5 stars for the location, grounds and view, and 3 stars for the rooms, which could use a freshening up. The views are amazing - particularly in the fall - and there are several outdoor pools, tennis courts and grills for use in the summer. The furniture in the room was fine, other than the bed and linens, which have seen better days. A small kitchenette is great for breakfasts in the room.

Nothing fancy about this, the hallways were very dirty and smelled. However, the condo was clean and well organized. The pools were nice and the lobby was nice. However, for the money, we wish we stayed at a nice hotel. It was pricey for what you got. The living areas are very small in the rooms, but it was nice to have the kitchen to keep things cold. Overall, good experience, but don't plan on booking here again.
"Still the best lodging in Egg"
08/20/14 cblukens Somerville, Massachusetts
For all the little idiosyncracies of Landmark, it still remains the best lodging in southern Door. The view is first-rate - I look forward to it every year. The view for the price is still incredibly undervalued. Yes, the units are different and privately owned, but I find this makes repeat visits interesting and more personal. The amenities are numerous, the restaurant is getting much better, and the AC/heat situation in rooms has been solved. I found wireless to be much better this visit. I'll always recommend Landmark (disclaimer: I'm related to owners of units in Landmark).

This was my first time visiting Door County and I loved it. The Landmark was beautiful and the view was outstanding! Having a whirlpool and pool for each cluster of buildings was great because it wasn't very crowded. I can't wait to go back!
