"Boutique hotel close to SoHo"
The Lan Kwai Fong Hotel is a boutique style hotel with a minimalistic lobby used for check-in/ check-out. All the rooms & small gym are on upper floors. The decor is Asian style with a simple shower (only) and a double bed. We requested views of the Causeway Bay and received a fairly decent view blocked only by a a couple of buildings. Enough to see […] ships come/go and the evening lights. The staff handles English very well and provide great recommendations for area restaurants and shopping. The hotel is located on the hilly side of Hong Kong Central district so expect to be going up/ down when visiting nearby stores, etc. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for the business traveler."
Good value for HK. Location is convenient (short walk) to MTR and Lan Kwai Fong. Rooms are tiny but otherwise fine. Everything was clean, staff are helpful. No complaints. As a business traveler, I've stayed here many times. Didn't try the restaurant.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not quite what I had hoped for...."
The hotel was in a great location and the lobby was nice, but the room was not clean, the bathroom had gunk build up, I put my bedspread on the top of the vanity and dust and dirt flew everywhere....even the refrigerator/mini bar was not clean. No excuse for a unclean environment. Would not stay at again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Traditional Chinese style"
If you like Chinese culture and style you must choose it. Good location very near with central of hongkong.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great boutique hotel in perfect neighborho"
Nice, comfy room. Excellent location, very helpful staff. I've paid a lot more for a lot less before-- and would definitely recommend this to friends.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great central Hong Kong Island location."
Lan Fai Kwan hotel has a great central Hong Kong island location. It is probably a 10 min walk from the Macao/Hong Kong ferry terminal, a 15 minute walk to the Kowloon ferry pier and a 20 min walk from the Hong Kong train station / airport express. There is great shop ping/eating easily within 5 min walk. The hotel has complimentary wireless and a coffee […] area on the third floor for complimentary coffee/tea and wireless. Rooms are priced very reasonably in a high cost area. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Affordable, great location and nice room"
The rooms are small, but hey, this is downtown Hong Kong. Otherwise, they are clean and the location can't be beat. It took about 45 minutes to get from the airport to the lobby via the MTR airport express- which is about as fast and as cheap as that's gonna happen. You can be in SOHO (the giant escalator, etc) in about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. […] Starbucks is about 3 blocks away. What more can you want. Use the Sheung Wan (island line) exit E2. "centrally located business hotel"
nice, centrally located chinese style hotel. Many of our Hong Kong clients knew the hotel. Very friendly staff. Soho and Lan Kwai Fong within walking distance - there are various restaurants, bars etc. We easily found a tiny, very good restaurant. The only negative thing was the Lobby: it is an open-air terrace on the 4th floor with self service coffee/tea […] facility. Quite nicely done -but for meeting clients not always optimal - we had construction work going on next "door", so it was very loud and noisy in this "lobby". Rooms tiny but clean and equipped with everything you need as a business traveller. wifi not complimentary... Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Comfy hotel on Hong Kong Island!"
This hotel is in a great location for exploring the Hong Kong Island area of Hong Kong as well as riding the subway to the Kowloon area. The staff were very helpful when we needed suggestions about places to visit and how to get there. We especially appreciated the fresh fruit and bottle of wine that were complementary in our room.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, nice (if small) room"
The hotel is located just off Hollywood Road and there are lots of shops, restaurants, bars, fresh food markets, etc., within easy walking distance. Room was nicely decorated, modern, and clean -- nice shower. Staff was courteous and prompt. There is a community room on 4th floor with hot/cold beverages and free WIFI -- a nice place to hang out.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice boutique hotel"
Very nice hotel. It is a boutique hotel located very near LKF and SoHo, so lots to do and see within walking distance.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location and service, but a little expensive"
Great service, accommodations and cleanness. The location is excellent, especially for those interested in the night life of Hong Kong, close to SOHO, many bars and excellent restaurants. The hotel was a bit expensive though, but again, that is typical of Hong Kong.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A great hotel in Hong Kong"
This hotel has a great staff, very thoughtful and accommodating. Its location leaves something to be desired since it is not near many of the sights, but is an easy taxi ride to anything you want to see or do. I would take my family there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good value hotel."
Boutique high rise hotel. LImited view of harbour due to intervening skyscrapers. Access via car is somewhat difficult because of one way street traffic in Hong Kong. Rooms are small but quaint. Great for business traveler.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel in great location"
Well priced hotel very close to the centre of town and walking distance to soho and lkf. while the rooms are small, they are comfortable and nicely furnished with an asian twist. Recommend this place to anyone looking for a city hotel in HKG.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Extremely small room"
Won't stay here again. Horribly small room for the price plus it is misleading about the internet capabilitty. Will stay at the Butterfly next time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
the room is too small. they didn't have a regular room for me, so they just gave me a room for disabled people.Genuine Expedia guest review
"good for the price"
Hong Kong is not a cheap place to stay; I have stayed at several places in the past have determined this hotel to be a good place to stay based on price and location. All rooms are small in HK; this hotel is no different. Staff was generally very helpful and accommodating... the first day we were there, we had an issue with the bath tub draining slowly. […] I informed the staff and they fixed it right away and followed up to see if it had been addressed correctly. I do question why they use tubs; I think i would have liked to see a standing only shower but, not that big of a deal. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent priced hotel in best area of town!"
Rooms are small, but that is expected in Hong Kong. Clean, comfortable, and is located in the best part of town. "TINY Room, great location."
This hotel has TINY rooms. It can be difficult for two people to move around while getting ready. The bathroom can only fit one person at a time. "great place at reasonable price"
Hotel was in a good location. Great price for the area. Close to airport shuttle. Close to metro. Walking access to many restaurants. In the ex-patriot area of town, so restaurants were cuisines from many places. The big shopping markets of HK are not walkable, but are easily accessible by metro. Hotel was very clean. "Beautiful little hotel in the heart of HK Central"
Hard to find, it's tucked in on the corner of a small street and an even smaller street. Winding back alleys all around, great for exploring. The hotel is very tall (32 floors?) and very thin, with maybe 6 or 8 rooms per floor. Only 7 years old, in great shape. Beautifully decorated rooms. If this hotel were a car, it would be a Mini Cooper! I'd definitely […] go back if I were vacationing in Hong Kong. Not sure if it's the best location for quick in-and-out business travel, though. The hotel was excellent very posh, excellent location 1 block from mid levels 3 blocks from LKF convenient to everything! The room was nice the only drawback is that it is a small room but really unless you're sleeping you shouldn't be spending a lot of time there anyways loved the window benches. Overall great hotelGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location...Great price."
I booked this location to do some sightseeing after many years, and I can honestly say that for the price you pay, it's a great deal. The rooms are clean. The views are great. And the location is very convenient for walking. Within minutes there are great bars, restaurants, shops and the MTR stations. The only thing that one must be clear about is […] to ensure you are clear that you are going to Lan Kwai Fong Hotel, NOT LKF. The first taxi took us to the wrong hotel, and walking between them was quite tricky. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great boutique hotel in a great location"
This hotel got great reviews on Expedia and had the right price. I took the chance and the reward was great. Very pleasant staff and a clean room. "Lan Kwai Fong Hotel - Hip location"
While the hotel may have renovated rooms, mine was not and was clean but stylistically seedy / old world. "To be very honest"
Well, I am actually very reluctant to recommend this hotel, since once I do it, more people will choose this hotel and then the hotel price will go up... However, I have to be honest: this hotel has the best price/quality ratio ever!Genuine Expedia guest review
This hotel is in a great location for walking to the sights and public transportation alternatives. Rooms were small but well maintained and a good price for Hong Kong. We paid extra for a view of the harbor and it was worth it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is not a 4 star hotel, even though is in a good location, it is really a 3 star hotel. Rooms and bathrooms are very small, the gym is a joke, in other words, there is no really a gym.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The smell in the corridor is terrible. The air condition doesn't work properly and the room is cold in the winter.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Lan Kwai Fong -- friendly service"
This hotel had a great location and the service staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke good English. Appreciated the free shuttle service to/from the airport express train. "Best loction hotel in HK"
Perfect location and neighborhood, mix of new and old HK shops and restaurants, very close to subways station. Room is clean and comfortable but bathroom is extremely small and toilet paper was a bit rough. The view from room was magnificent (31st floor). Wifi is a supplement, pretty standard, but still upsetting in view of the room price.Genuine Expedia guest review
"My worst stay in Hong Kong"
Location: First of all I would like to beware everyone: Lan Kwai Fong hotel does not have anything to do with Lan Kwai Fong area (party area) in Hong Kong. The hotel is located in slums of Hong Kong. Access: Access to the hotel is extremely inconvenient: it's located on a one-way-street that is only accessible trough a labyrinth of other one-way streets, […] so even if you are quite close to the hotel - you grab a cab and go for a 30 minutes ride trough all the slams of HK. Check-In Tiny reception right at the door. 2 ppl of staff handling concierge and check in duties and a crowd of around 20 guests in line. Room Very used and very tiny. And by tiny I mean "Tokyo tiny" Room cleaning I consider myself a generous person, so I always leave some $$ on the pillow for the cleaning staff. Despite that I had a used napkin lying around on the floor for 3 days straight until I called in house keeping and asked to clean my room properly. Hotel facilities Gym - extremely small Restaurants - cafe on 4'th floor okay Business centre - 3* Conference room - forget it Rates After I realized that I've booked a wrong hotel (I intended to book LKF hotel) and looking at rates I've realized that it's a total rip-off. Same rate as in Grand Hyatt or Shangri-La for an extremely low profile hotel. I do NOT recommend to stay in this property. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"great location at the right price"
GREAT LOCATIONGenuine Expedia guest review
This is a great hotel for the price, especially because most hotels in the central city area are super expensive... Location: very close (10m walk) to the Central subway station, which includes Airport Express and a couple other major lines. There is also a hotel shuttle that takes you to the airport train station for free. Also close to some major […] tourist attractions like Victoria Peak Tram and Lan Kwai Fong, which is misleading because the hotel is NOT actually in Lan Kwai Fong as the name suggests. Neighborhood: Not the best... kind of dirty with a lot of street vendors and litter, but seems safe enough. If you walk toward town for 5 mins it gets nicer. Lots of eateries and city-life buzz nearby. Lobby: free wifi which is nice. Not in the rooms though. Overall kept pretty clean, had no issues with that. The staff are very nice and most speak english well enough to answer basic questions. Rooms: small but very good for asian standards. Big enough to walk around without tripping on your suitcase (which is usually what I experience in most European and Asian hotels). The decor is very nice, they go for kind of a modern/trendy-oriental look. There's a safe in the room. Gym: clean but small with couple of treadmills, all-in-one weight machine, some free weights. Enough for a short stay. Never saw anyone else in there so I'm sure the machines are always available. Thinks there's also a restaurant but never went, with all the cheap eateries available in the area. Overall, had a good stay and would return, though it's more for people who are looking for a comfortable stay for a good deal. If you're looking for a high-quality hotel where you'll be pampered, there are tons to choose from in hong kong. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Recently I stayed in this Hotel for 4 nights, I should say it's a good hotel for short stay visitors as it's very convenient for transport and the staff of this hotel were quite helpful. But for those who have problem with sleep, better not to chose this hotel as you would hear the noice of next door room and outside during night time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Well placed for my needs"
It was what I booked for what I wanted ... 2 nights sleeps after a long flight and one day of business.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is located very close to Lan Kwai Fong district, which is the most happening part of Hong Kong. It's very close to all the attractions. The rooms are also themed in a beautiful oriental elegance and have stunning views of the sea. The rooms and the bathrooms are a bit tiny though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was great. Nothing went wrong. Although I would recommend that even the cleaners should speak english and should not enter the room without permission.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, ideal for a short stay."
The Lan Kwai Fong Hotel is located in a great location, near Hong Kong Central, near the Mid Level Escalators and surrounded by nice restaurants and bars. However the rooms are very small with limited space to open the luggage in the room and move around comfortably, as the gap between the bed and desk and the walls around is narrow. The bathroom as […] well is very tiny. I found there is not enough power points to plug the mobile phone and laptop to recharge and no plug for hair dryer in the bathroom. The breakfast is disappointing, expensive and very limited. The positive point is the mobile smart phone they offer to guests during stay, so you can go around HK and have free access to internet and local calls. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Great for the price. Stay here regularly. Rooms are small but OK. I would recommend it.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was in a great location, service was very good, the mobile phone they give you to use during your stay was very useful as a hotspot while exploring the city.
