"Good choice of leisure stay in HK"
All the staff are friendly and helpful. Neighborhood is very interesting, especially the traditional restaurant Lin Hung Lau which services authentic Cantonese food. The only problems for me is the room is too small and charge a Lot on Internet HK$330 per day for cell phone and laptop.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice small hotel, close to LFK"
I was very pleased with this hotel. It was very close to Hong Kong Central station and LFK. I definitely recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to go to Hong Kong either for business or vacationGenuine Expedia guest review
"Hong Kong hotel in Central"
Good location. Very easy access to bus, train stations. They only have free WiFi on the 4th floor lounge and that's unpredictable, otherwise you have to pay for WiFi in your room. Hotel restaurant was unfriendly and smelly. Otherwise it was a great stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"awesome place in HONG KONG"

"Charming boutique hotel in up-and-coming area"
Excellent service and value for money, attentive staff and thoughtful Chinese decor. The neighborhood is full of first-rate restaurants and boutiques and a 5-minute cab ride (ex rush hour) to the business district). The only deficiency is that the hotel outsources its room service food to a caterer -- it's restaurant is a 2-star Michelin Cantonese establishment […] that doesn't deign to turn out room service meals. That doesn't quite cut it for a business hotel, where travelers sometimes need to eat in their rooms. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Just outside but right on point"
Still a good bargain in LKF area. Staff is great. Get the Harbour viewGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great little hotel"
We really liked it here. Especially the location. Close enough to walk to central station but in a neighborhood setting. Next to amazing shops and restaurants. The room is "city small" but the shower and bed are amazing. The staff was great and the wifi/beverage outdoor area is a plus. There was construction that really wasn't too much of a bother but […] definitely not ideal. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fraying around the edges"
The Lan Kwai Fong used to a great option for a stay in a very central part of Hong Kong - I have been staying there since they first opened in 2006. That said, it is fraying around the edges after years of no updates. It is in dire need of a remodel from top to bottom. While it is still relatively affordable in Hong Kong, I would not stay there again […] despite the incredible location. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
A bit hard to find the first time around due to the old neighbourhood where it is situated. However, it is a convenient location once you get your bearings. The staff was friendly and courteous. I would recommend this hotel again.Genuine Expedia guest review
First time trying the harbor-view room and I loved it. Good location with good service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great location..wonderful area...nice neighborhood"
the staff is very kind, actually took luggage out of cab and helpful..easy check in experience..Genuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect hotel for this city"
We loved our stay at the hotel, it was in immediate vicinity to midlevel escalators, financial district, Star ferries, etc etc. Most of all, staying in the room in the evenings and enjoying gorgeous city views from the cutes window bench ever was one of the most delightful things a hotel room can offer. Lots of mirrors help overlook the small rooms, […] and "Breeze" on Level 4, with free WiFi and coffees as well as a serene athmosphere in the midst of the city made the experience at this hotel a remarkably rounded one. We will definitely come back! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Location and friendly Helpful staff."
It is my second stay at this Hotel. The location is excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful. 20 meters from the Hotel Lobby is a small French Bakery which makes a great breakfast. Would definitely recommend staying there to other travelers.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Decent Hotel, good location"
Feels like a 3.25 star hotel. Great location, 3 minute walk to Queens Road and all is close by in Central. Hotel itself is clean and well maintained, however no lobby, tiny rooms, no pool, and feels a bit old. It is trying to be a trendy, lux boutique hotel, but there's really nothing trendy or luxurious about it. If they were to invest in upgrading […] the lobby, and making the rooms a bit more modern (decor is old chinese style), it would make a huge difference. Great staff though, always very helpful and nice (which wasn't the case throughout our trip in HK). If you are going to Hong Kong and want to stay in Central, I would recommend staying here provided that you aren't expecting a luxury resort type hotel, and really just need a place to sleep. Also, I would only stay here if the price was at a deep discount to the LKF Rhombus hotel, which is actually luxurious and trendy boutique hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

LOVED IT!!! We had never been to Hong Kong, and this was the perfect hotel for us!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel but noisy in the morning"
Very nice hotel. Rooms are small but classy. Service is great and location very good. The only complaint i have is a big one. The cleaning lady on a Sat morning will wake by 8:00am and is incredibly loud....no concern for the people who may be sleeping whatsoever. I complained about this and they were very apologetic. hope they did something about […] this as the hotels is very nice Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good Location - But Very Small"
The best thing about this hotel is the location. Beyond this, it is small, cramped, tired, and a little dirty. It is clearly had its day and at best a good place for the budget traveller who is small :)Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good hotel for the price"
We had a hard time finding the enterance. Nice 4 th floor complementary coffee, water and wifi area. Room small but very combat with everything you need. Could walk to a lot of restaurants and shops.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I would say it is an excellent hotel in the perfect place.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Affordable and great location."
Walking distance to both Sheung Wan and Central MTR stations as well as Lan Kwai Fong and the Mid-Levels Escalator. Also nearby is a Pacific Coffee, Man Mo Temple, and the Cat Street markets. The room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. Yes it is small, a little shocking at first if you haven't been to Hong Kong before, but it is Hong Kong, tight […] on space. "close enough to the action"
I have stayed in many hotels in Central but prefer this one for location as it is close enogh to walk to anything yet set back enough for a degree of solitude. Small room (avg for HK) but scale, cleanliness and service help up the satisfactionGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Boutique hotel close to SoHo"
The Lan Kwai Fong Hotel is a boutique style hotel with a minimalistic lobby used for check-in/ check-out. All the rooms & small gym are on upper floors. The decor is Asian style with a simple shower (only) and a double bed. We requested views of the Causeway Bay and received a fairly decent view blocked only by a a couple of buildings. Enough to see […] ships come/go and the evening lights. The staff handles English very well and provide great recommendations for area restaurants and shopping. The hotel is located on the hilly side of Hong Kong Central district so expect to be going up/ down when visiting nearby stores, etc. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for the business traveler."
Good value for HK. Location is convenient (short walk) to MTR and Lan Kwai Fong. Rooms are tiny but otherwise fine. Everything was clean, staff are helpful. No complaints. As a business traveler, I've stayed here many times. Didn't try the restaurant.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not quite what I had hoped for...."
The hotel was in a great location and the lobby was nice, but the room was not clean, the bathroom had gunk build up, I put my bedspread on the top of the vanity and dust and dirt flew everywhere....even the refrigerator/mini bar was not clean. No excuse for a unclean environment. Would not stay at again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great central Hong Kong Island location."
Lan Fai Kwan hotel has a great central Hong Kong island location. It is probably a 10 min walk from the Macao/Hong Kong ferry terminal, a 15 minute walk to the Kowloon ferry pier and a 20 min walk from the Hong Kong train station / airport express. There is great shop ping/eating easily within 5 min walk. The hotel has complimentary wireless and a coffee […] area on the third floor for complimentary coffee/tea and wireless. "Affordable, great location and nice room"
The rooms are small, but hey, this is downtown Hong Kong. Otherwise, they are clean and the location can't be beat. It took about 45 minutes to get from the airport to the lobby via the MTR airport express- which is about as fast and as cheap as that's gonna happen. You can be in SOHO (the giant escalator, etc) in about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. […] Starbucks is about 3 blocks away. What more can you want. Use the Sheung Wan (island line) exit E2. "centrally located business hotel"
nice, centrally located chinese style hotel. Many of our Hong Kong clients knew the hotel. Very friendly staff. Soho and Lan Kwai Fong within walking distance - there are various restaurants, bars etc. We easily found a tiny, very good restaurant. The only negative thing was the Lobby: it is an open-air terrace on the 4th floor with self service coffee/tea […] facility. Quite nicely done -but for meeting clients not always optimal - we had construction work going on next "door", so it was very loud and noisy in this "lobby". "Comfy hotel on Hong Kong Island!"
This hotel is in a great location for exploring the Hong Kong Island area of Hong Kong as well as riding the subway to the Kowloon area. The staff were very helpful when we needed suggestions about places to visit and how to get there. We especially appreciated the fresh fruit and bottle of wine that were complementary in our room.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, nice (if small) room"
The hotel is located just off Hollywood Road and there are lots of shops, restaurants, bars, fresh food markets, etc., within easy walking distance. Room was nicely decorated, modern, and clean -- nice shower. Staff was courteous and prompt. There is a community room on 4th floor with hot/cold beverages and free WIFI -- a nice place to hang out.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice boutique hotel"
Very nice hotel. It is a boutique hotel located very near LKF and SoHo, so lots to do and see within walking distance.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location and service, but a little expensive"
Great service, accommodations and cleanness. The location is excellent, especially for those interested in the night life of Hong Kong, close to SOHO, many bars and excellent restaurants. The hotel was a bit expensive though, but again, that is typical of Hong Kong.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A great hotel in Hong Kong"
This hotel has a great staff, very thoughtful and accommodating. Its location leaves something to be desired since it is not near many of the sights, but is an easy taxi ride to anything you want to see or do. I would take my family there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good value hotel."
Boutique high rise hotel. LImited view of harbour due to intervening skyscrapers. Access via car is somewhat difficult because of one way street traffic in Hong Kong. Rooms are small but quaint. Great for business traveler.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel in great location"
Well priced hotel very close to the centre of town and walking distance to soho and lkf. while the rooms are small, they are comfortable and nicely furnished with an asian twist. Recommend this place to anyone looking for a city hotel in HKG.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Extremely small room"
Won't stay here again. Horribly small room for the price plus it is misleading about the internet capabilitty. Will stay at the Butterfly next time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
the room is too small. they didn't have a regular room for me, so they just gave me a room for disabled people.Genuine Expedia guest review
"good for the price"
Hong Kong is not a cheap place to stay; I have stayed at several places in the past have determined this hotel to be a good place to stay based on price and location. All rooms are small in HK; this hotel is no different. Staff was generally very helpful and accommodating... the first day we were there, we had an issue with the bath tub draining slowly. […] I informed the staff and they fixed it right away and followed up to see if it had been addressed correctly. I do question why they use tubs; I think i would have liked to see a standing only shower but, not that big of a deal. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"TINY Room, great location."
This hotel has TINY rooms. It can be difficult for two people to move around while getting ready. The bathroom can only fit one person at a time. "great place at reasonable price"
Hotel was in a good location. Great price for the area. Close to airport shuttle. Close to metro. Walking access to many restaurants. "Beautiful little hotel in the heart of HK Central"
Hard to find, it's tucked in on the corner of a small street and an even smaller street. Winding back alleys all around, great for exploring. The hotel is very tall (32 floors?) and very thin, with maybe 6 or 8 rooms per floor. Only 7 years old, in great shape. Beautifully decorated rooms. If this hotel were a car, it would be a Mini Cooper! I'd definitely […] go back if I were vacationing in Hong Kong. Not sure if it's the best location for quick in-and-out business travel, though. The hotel was excellent very posh, excellent location 1 block from mid levels 3 blocks from LKF convenient to everything! The room was nice the only drawback is that it is a small room but really unless you're sleeping you shouldn't be spending a lot of time there anyways loved the window benches. Overall great hotelGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location...Great price."
I booked this location to do some sightseeing after many years, and I can honestly say that for the price you pay, it's a great deal. The rooms are clean. The views are great. And the location is very convenient for walking. Within minutes there are great bars, restaurants, shops and the MTR stations. The only thing that one must be clear about is […] to ensure you are clear that you are going to Lan Kwai Fong Hotel, NOT LKF. The first taxi took us to the wrong hotel, and walking between them was quite tricky. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
