The hotel was fairly busy due to the Cardinals-Royals series that was going on, so the staff stated they were booked solid and couldn't check us in at the prescribed time of 3:00. Figuring that checkout time was 12, that should allow some time to clear out of few rooms, but ours would not be ready. Shame. The quality of the room was great, but in the rush they forgot to give my room and my friend's room towels. They were quick to correct the error. No apologies, though. Maybe it's a Kansas City thing. Hmm. For the price, I wouldn't recommend it. My other friends stayed up the road for cheaper and got breakfast INCLUDED. For the price of this place, breakfast was NOT included. Shame again. Lesson learned. Truly it's not horrible. Organization just doesn't meet my expectations for the price paid.

"Great hotel"

Hotel is convenient (east end of the Plaza), but away from the hustle and bustle of the Plaza. Staff was friendly. Rooms were clean. I would stay at this hotel again and would highly recommend it to people.

The lady who checked us in was so nice. they gave advice on where to eat and made our experience great. We will definitely use this hotel again.

Just a 2-3 minute walk from the Country Club Plaza area. Awesome location! Amazing stay! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

"Overbooked...Had to sleep on sofa couch!!!"

They overbooked...The hotel was not ready for check-in at check-in time. When I did try to check in, they saw my reservation but didn't have a room. They said they found the room and gave me the keys...When I tried, it already had people in it. So I got stuck with another room. Instead of 2 beds, there was 1 and a sleeper pull out sofa. Needless to say, I was UNHAPPY!

"Outstanding Hotel"

The location of the hotel is excellent in the Plaza area convenient to all shops and restaurants. The decor of the hotel is fantastic right down to the "milk closets" from a byegone era in the hallways. The staff was personable pleasant and informative all in all an enormously pleasant experience.

"Great hotel in a great location"

Perfect location on the Plaza, across the street from fountain and walking/running trail. Beds were very comfortable, including the sofa bed. A little tight for 5 women, but managable! Staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions and directions around town, and proompt to fill requests for extra towels, etc. Would definately stay here again!

The location in regards to the Plaza was fantastic. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The staff was very hospitable and helpful. We will definately stay there again on our next trip to Kansas City.
