"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.
"Another Good Experience"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
My wife and I have stayed at the Courtyard in Mahwah three of the last four years to attend the NEAF astronomy show at the Rockland Community College in Suffern, just a few minutes away. We've always had good a experience and this stay was no different. The recent renovations definitely spruced the hotel up. The pool and spa area was nice, although the acoustics in the room left my ears ringing after a group of children in the pool were not using their "indoor voices." Our room was very clean, everything worked well, including the internet connection (which is a wired connection) and having a Dunkin Donuts right next door makes a stay here worthwhile in my humble opinion! Just grab a coffee and a bagel sandwich and go. The rates are competitive with other hotels in the area. If someone on here rates the hotel low, they must be comparing it to a five-star city hotel or maybe a destination resort. It's not that, but it is a clean and decent place to stay while traveling for business or short-term pleasure. I believe we will stay there again next year.

"IT WAS OKAY FOR A SHORT STAY"
The so called COntinental breakfast was coffee, plain cornflakes with milk, and peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches.

"Great Hotel to Stay at If You Want to Visit NYC"
Transit about 30 minutes away in a clean, free parking area. Nice little place along the way in a comfortable, safe neighborhood. Staff is very friendly.

"Knights Inn - NJ - small/not very convenient"
I most likely won't be going back there. The rooms were very small. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and the continental breakfast was lame. Cream cheese but no bagels. The street getting in and out was very inconvenient b/c you could only go one way for a very long time. My husband was yelled at for asking for another towel.

No frills .. ended up not staying the night.
"Knights Inn Pine Brook"
Pretty nasty motel. Not on a bad road but this place was pretty dirty. Bullet proof glass where you check in. Allowed loitering around the entrance that just gave you an uncomfortable feeling. Dirty bed spread. A couple bugs in my sheets. Had to stay there because nothing was available that night but was just bad. Luckily just me and a co-worker and […] not the family with me. Read more
"Horrible ....."
There was a cold from coming through New Jersey that night and I was freezing. I turned on the heater and it started to smoke!! Then it made the fire alarm go off (it was 130am) I woke up to the room smelling HORRIBLE (along with all of my work clothes in my suitcase) and to the front desk guy calling me an hour before check out time asking if I was […] leaving yet like he couldn't wait for me to get out of my room. I asked politely for an hour check out as I didn't get to my room until 130am with over an hour drive to his hotel and he laughed and said no. Before going to bed I opened up the top blanket to find pizza crumbs from the last people. I was afraid to see what else I would find so just slept on top of the comforter. I honestly would have done better finding a truck stop and sleeping in my car that night as I didn't even get a shower in with the front desk guy calling wanting me out of there so fast! Read more

Yes it's true 'you get what you pay for'. The guy's at the reception counter was very rude. I stayed at this hotel for 4 days and in these 4 days no one came to clean the room. I had a booking for 3 days and when i went to extend the booking the guy was so rude i was shocked how can someone speak like this to there customer. Overall you get what you […] paid for. Read more

"Knights Inn Pine Brook"
Had to wait 20 mins. to check in.when we got to the room it was hot and smelled like rotted food.we could not use the toilet,it wasn't bolted down and would tip from side to side. said they had no other rooms.this was a problem for me because I had a 75 year old with me.
"knights inn -pine brook"
The bathroom was very clean, the sheets were clean, but the comforter smelled like feet, and there were cobwebs and dirty curtains. The front desk staff was terribly rude! I'm glad we only stayed the one night!
"motel stuck in time"
this motel has not been updated in 30 years
"Knights Inn Pine Brook"
This hotel was very hard to find. The address given was not on our GPS. And it was quite hard to find. We did notice that no food delivery places would deliver there because they kept telling us Pine Brook was an hour away when we were 5 minutes from their store. The room was quite tight for us in moving around but the people there were very accomodating […] in helping us with all our needs. Read more
"A good value for a no frills place to sleep."
I booked this hotel because it was the cheapest in the area of where I was visiting my friends. It is a no frills motel, which is OK because I was only looking for a place to sleep and I didn't need any extra services. The property and rooms are small, but that may be dure to the fact that land in North Jersey is at a premium. I had enough room to relax […] and get a good night's sleep. The mattress was a little hard and the comfortor on top was ripped in a few places but the bed was otherwise clean. Read more
"good stay"

"Inexpensive...You get what you pay for.."

This is definately an older building, but the room was in good shape. Everything worked well, and was clean. Rooms are small, but overall was very comfortable. Plan on breakfast elsewhere, but the coffee was great. Easy access off of I-280. Motel is right on a main thoroughfare, but was quieter than I anticipated. I was comfortable here and felt safe. […] Will stay here again. Read more

"the knights inn pinebrook - small but good"
room was clean. was small for 2 queen beds, but fine for our purpose of just sleeping. continental breakfast was bottom of the line but that wasn't factored in to the hotel selection. overall satisfied with the choice and would stay there again if we went to NJ

"Get what you pay for, but reasonable."
This "motel" is one of the cheapest I've found in the area, but don't expect much for it. Room was small, but had all the standard stuff. Bedding and interior finishes were basic, but didn't seem well cleaned. Fridge and AC worked well, and hot water came on quickly. But wireless signal was weak, and the free breakfast was just milk, OJ, corn flakes […] and half muffins. If all you needed is quiet place with a bed and a good shower, then this place would certainly do, especially for the price. Location is great, just off I80 & I280, and on US46. Less than 20min to many major shopping centers, and about 30min into NYC. Read more

"Not a good hotel for the Family"
Hotel is cheap but the bath is dirty and the rooms smell like cigarette even though the room was non smoking. There are better hotels in the area for the same price.

"Economical Place for Short Visits"
The hotel was clean and was appropriate for short stay. The continental breakfast was nothing special as all we had was cereals. The reoom size was bit small for two beds as one bed was right next to A/C and bed could not be moved . I would probably stay again as it is economical and suitable for travel to NY.

"Good service, Well equipped rooms, but no coffee maker?!?"
Hotel was good, price was right. Kind of surprised for a hotel room to have a fridge and a microwave but no coffee pot? Continental breakfast was better than i am used to, not luxurious, but better than most. Service was good, they were exceptionally flexible with us when we chose to stay another night! That was a HUGE plus!!!! All in all, a good […] experience. Will definitely consider staying again when we come back next year. Read more
"Great location, right outside of NYC"
You get what you pay for. Nothing spectacular, but clean and comfortable if all you want to do is sleep. Hotel staff was very friendly. Only draw back was weird people walking the grounds at all hours. We saw an old guy with the back ripped out of his pants roaming about, I think he was homeless. A bit creepy.

"HOTEL QUALITY"
The hotel was filthy, smelly and in poor condition. The free breakfast was coffee and a half of a muffin..I would not recommend this hotel to anyone for any price.
"Insect Motel"
I place my reservation on Hotel.com, the night manager have to call Hotel.com to verify my reservation. When I finally made it to my room, it had ants everywhere. Never stay there again
