I stay at this hotel when my son's baseball team has a tournament in town. The front desk staff are always friendly and professional, the room is always clean and I love the free wi-fi. It is an older hotel so it is rarely crowded and vastly underrated.

We were in CBS for graduation and this was the only hotel avaialble. While the staff was very friendly and they let us check in early, the hotel is run down and in desparate need of repair and updating; from the crumbling concrete steps to the outdated a/c, nasty furniture and sandpaper towels. This hotel is old but clean. If I would comment on anything it would be the old, I mean thread bare towels. They were like drying with sandpaper. I will bring my own towels next time.

Great location to A&M. But this hotel needs a lot of work for its price and also to take advantage of its location. Bathroom lights took forever to come on. Call to the front desk took forever to get a response. Bedding is threadbare and towels could be good exfoliating material. A good overhaul could turn this into a great asset.

I reserved this hotel room for my family to stay in for my graduation weekend, and i was not very happy with it at all. It was a very good location in town-- not even a mile from the university. I couldn't believe some of the thinga that were wrong with the room though. They only provided 3 pillows for two queen beds. We have been staying at the La Quinta down the street for years for football games in CSTAT. LQ was full last week so this was the only room left in town. The room was actually better than I had expected. There was a few places in the tub where the finish had flaked off, but it was purely cosmetic. If you are expecting a 4 star hotel, yes you'll be disappointed. The tub was peeling, the plant in the lobby was held up with electrical tape, and the towels do feel like sandpaper so you should probably bring your own. However, for what we needed the room for (just a place to sleep coming into town for a concert) it did just fine. Worst stay ever. We paid for a suite and when we got there they gave us a regular room. When I called them on it they said sorry that's all they had. A little later they call and said they moved around reservations and had a room with a couch. We repacked and moved, it was the same little room that they stuck a couch between the wall and the bed. Good location for my purposes. The room was clean but you could see the light coming in the room around the door which meant that sound from outside didn't stay outside. The room was comfortable but the towels were very flimsy.

All the reviews I read were very negative. I knew what I was paying for so I wasn't disappointed. My only complaint was a slight musty smell in the room. Besides that the service was fantastic. I arrived a little early and my room wasn't ready yet. The lady behind the counter said they are typically clean at 3, but she would ask them to prioritize my […] room so I could check in at 2. I went to entertain myself for a bit and came back and my room was ready. The card key let me in my room once. When I tried it again it didn't work. So when I went down to get it straightened out the lady behind the counter offered to come up to my room to make sure I got in. I told her it wasn't necessary since it was on the third floor. Good for a budget motel. Location is great. Room was clean and pleasant. Pillows were new and the heating unit worked well. Mattresses were a little old, as were the linens. Breakfast included no protein and no fresh fruit. 3rd floor ice machine was broken.

Showed up and checked in to find that my room had been given to someone else and all they had was a king bed. We had a party of 5 sleeping in a room with one bed. I was not happy and will never stay at this hotel ever again. The breakfast the next day was a joke and so crowded you couldnt get close to what food was there.

I had two choices on hotels.com to choose from. $68 for a night with 2 queen beds or $89 a night with 2 queen and sleeper sofa. I chose the $89 one thinking room would be a little bigger. When I checked in that option was not available and they said for a refund see mgr in morning. In morning he said cost difference is only $5 talk to hotel.com. This place is in dire need of a complete remodel. Lobby reeked of disinfectant. Rooms are old with threadbare sheets and tiny thin towels. I almost forfeited my payment and went elsewhere but sucked it up and stayed. Never again.

An older motel that has been refurbished. Outside appearance not so great but our room was clean with no odors detected. Its a minimal room ... refrigerator and microwave but no coffee pot. A comfortable chair with foot stool. A stay of 2 days and we got a total of two plastic drink glasses. The red light on the phone blinked constantly and maintenance […] offered to put a piece of tape over it. The night side light was linked to the overhead light, so I rerouted the cord so that the light could be used without the overhead. The heater temp control never stopped no matter how hot the room got. The 3 pillows were pathetic. The towels were thin. If your room is on the backside, there will be a distance to walk to the office and breakfast area. The lobby looked very good. The complimentary breakfast was typical ... waffle maker, sweet rolls and muffins, cereal, milk and toast and coffee and nothing more that I can remember. Read more

The staff were particularly helpful providing us with directions and a map to the nearest church for the service in the morning. The room was warm and inviting like someone had turned on the heat anticipating our arrival. This was particularly nice since we came in late after a long drive. I stayed while my mother was in CCU at St Joseph. It was perfect for what I needed, a place to crash since I couldn't stay with her. Felt safe in room, and that my vehicle was safe in the parking lot. Will stay here again for budget purposes, considering the amount of time I'm spending there.
