"Need new towels"
This hotel is old but clean. If I would comment on anything it would be the old, I mean thread bare towels. They were like drying with sandpaper. I will bring my own towels next time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"In need of work!"
Great location to A&M. But this hotel needs a lot of work for its price and also to take advantage of its location. Bathroom lights took forever to come on. Call to the front desk took forever to get a response. Bedding is threadbare and towels could be good exfoliating material. A good overhaul could turn this into a great asset.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Older, but nice property in need of refreshing. Friendly, helpful staff. Like everything in town of big event weekends, this place was drastically over-priced, but no worse than any others.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Glad we only had to stay one night"
I reserved this hotel room for my family to stay in for my graduation weekend, and i was not very happy with it at all. It was a very good location in town-- not even a mile from the university. I couldn't believe some of the thinga that were wrong with the room though. They only provided 3 pillows for two queen beds. The toilet seat was hanging off, […] there were holes in one of the blanket... it just wasn't a very pleasant stay. My sister did say the beds were comfy to sleep in, but I just couldn't believe the rest of these problems. Very easy things to fix, but they didnt do it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Don't do it!"
45 minutes to check in because they had one very old, very slow, person on the desk who had a difficult time communicating with guests because he spoke very little English. Finally got checked in and went up to my room - bits of trash everywhere and there was a floater in the toilet. Housekeeping clearly didn't care about cleaning, which is surprising […] since they wouldn't leave me alone in the morning even after I asked them 3 times to come back after checkout! The bed was really uncomfortable and hard. The blankets were really itchy and i ended up sleeping with just a sheet. The pillows really couldn't be called emails. They were thin and offered no support. Once I stacked 4 of them together I had a little bit of comfort. TV is an old tube screen thing that hurt my eyes. It seems like the ONLY thing they invested money in is their security cameras, which are state of the art and cover every inch of the hotel. You can see the tv they monitor the cameras from behind the front desk - a very nice flat screen with a clearly expensive system. I wish they'd invested that money into new pillows and some soap that actually works. This place is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Sadly, I've stayed here twice, but there is no third time to be had. Period. Don't do it. It's not worth it. Spend the extra $20 and stay anywhere else. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Decent room...go to Denney's for breakfast."
We have been staying at the La Quinta down the street for years for football games in CSTAT. LQ was full last week so this was the only room left in town. The room was actually better than I had expected. There was a few places in the tub where the finish had flaked off, but it was purely cosmetic. The handy man at the Knight's Inn is probably more […] skilled....not as many patched up looking places in the rooms as LQ.....but the layout of the breakfast room is a long narrow hallway that leaves everyone stumbling over each other. The selection was kinda sparse so be prepared to wait in line for the waffle machine. They really need to work on the breakfast thing.....and for some reason, the guy at the counter made photocopies of our credit cards...thought it kinda strange....I feel like I have to keep a close watch on that account now..IDK Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A good cheap solution"
If you are expecting a 4 star hotel, yes you'll be disappointed. The tub was peeling, the plant in the lobby was held up with electrical tape, and the towels do feel like sandpaper so you should probably bring your own. However, for what we needed the room for (just a place to sleep coming into town for a concert) it did just fine. The room wasn't disgusting, […] the ac worked fine, there was a mini fridge, a microwave, a safe, and a hair dryer. Plus, its located very close to campus which is a big plus for anyone visiting children or friends at A&M. Overall it really wasn't so bad for what we paid. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Ash Tray Inn"
Kim at the front desk was awesome. That was it. The room smelled of smoke so bad it ruined anything else that might of otherwise been good. Very disappointed in grounds keeping dept. Picnic benches had beer bottles on table tops for three days. Nothing wrong with a cold one but my goodness make a walk around every morning and pick up the trash. Might […] want to mow and weed eat the grounds once in awhile. Breakfast area felt like a soup kitchen. Did I mention the smoke filled room? I thought I was sleeping in an ash tray. Worst stay ever. We paid for a suite and when we got there they gave us a regular room. When I called them on it they said sorry that's all they had. A little later they call and said they moved around reservations and had a room with a couch. We repacked and moved, it was the same little room that they stuck a couch between the wall and the bed. It […] was not a suite by any means. The room had the couch against the wall a bed against the couch a nite stand against the bed another bed against the nite stand then the other wall. It had used shampoo very dirty wash rag. The paint was peeling off the doors window screens torn and the elevator smelled like insecticide bad. "OK when you need a place to sleep."
The room was clean but the paint and finish of the room was really shabby. We have stayed here before and it is ok for the price most of the time. Of course in College Station when there is something going on, the prices do go up. Not wonderful value compared to other places I've stayed in other cities, but there's not much better to choose from for […] the price in CS. I'm sure we'll stay here again. We didn't come for the lodging. It was just a place to sleep. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I only chose this hotel because it was one of two still available for Parents Weekend. The front desk staff was friendly enough. The condition of the room was disappointing though. Terribly old and uncomfortable bed. No extra pillows. Bath towels were nearly hand towel size and thin and felt like sand paper. The furniture was old and run-down. "basic and clean"
Pluses: fresh paint everywhere; convenient location; good hot water; good wi-fi; friendly staff. Minuses: not much soundproofing in between rooms (could hear our neighbors showering, as well as road traffic); few healthy choices at breakfast (we would have appreciated some fresh fruit and yogurt in addition to sweet rolls and waffles); the bed was somewhat […] sagging in an otherwise well-appointed room. "Don't listen to reviews"
All the reviews I read were very negative. I knew what I was paying for so I wasn't disappointed. My only complaint was a slight musty smell in the room. Besides that the service was fantastic. I arrived a little early and my room wasn't ready yet. The lady behind the counter said they are typically clean at 3, but she would ask them to prioritize my […] room so I could check in at 2. I went to entertain myself for a bit and came back and my room was ready. The card key let me in my room once. When I tried it again it didn't work. So when I went down to get it straightened out the lady behind the counter offered to come up to my room to make sure I got in. I told her it wasn't necessary since it was on the third floor. She came outside and watched from the parking lot anyways. She was very helpful and I'm grateful for the service. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Average budget motel"
Good for a budget motel. Location is great. Room was clean and pleasant. Pillows were new and the heating unit worked well. Mattresses were a little old, as were the linens. Breakfast included no protein and no fresh fruit. 3rd floor ice machine was broken.Genuine Expedia guest review
Showed up and checked in to find that my room had been given to someone else and all they had was a king bed. We had a party of 5 sleeping in a room with one bed. I was not happy and will never stay at this hotel ever again. The breakfast the next day was a joke and so crowded you couldnt get close to what food was there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"You Get What You Pay For..."
Drove in from Houston for my 10 year-old son's baseball tournament. After researching hotels in the area, I found that this hotel was approximately $35 cheaper than others in the vicinity. It is definitely an older hotel with the issues you have with older hotels - the ice machine on our floor was old and broken, water pressure in the shower was a little […] low and the shower drain was rusty, the a/c could've worked a little better - however, we had free wi-fi, the room was clean, the front desk clerk was very friendly, and the bed was comfortable. "Old, clean and ok for 1 night but..."
I had two choices on hotels.com to choose from. $68 for a night with 2 queen beds or $89 a night with 2 queen and sleeper sofa. I chose the $89 one thinking room would be a little bigger. When I checked in that option was not available and they said for a refund see mgr in morning. In morning he said cost difference is only $5 talk to hotel.com. ok, except for 3 things: 1. someone checked into their room at 3:15 am and slammed the door several times in doing so, 2. someone smoked and it came into the room around 4 am, 3. when i connected to the hotel's internet server, a virus collected all of my past email recipients and sent spam to them (not just those few in my contacts list). the hotel […] couldn't be expected to stop the first 2 items, but the 3rd - they are responsible for. "Not Sure -- Prob would not recommend to friends."
An older motel that has been refurbished. Outside appearance not so great but our room was clean with no odors detected. Its a minimal room ... refrigerator and microwave but no coffee pot. A comfortable chair with foot stool. A stay of 2 days and we got a total of two plastic drink glasses. The red light on the phone blinked constantly and maintenance […] offered to put a piece of tape over it. The night side light was linked to the overhead light, so I rerouted the cord so that the light could be used without the overhead. The heater temp control never stopped no matter how hot the room got. The 3 pillows were pathetic. The towels were thin. If your room is on the backside, there will be a distance to walk to the office and breakfast area. The lobby looked very good. The complimentary breakfast was typical ... waffle maker, sweet rolls and muffins, cereal, milk and toast and coffee and nothing more that I can remember. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Warm and Cozy"
The staff were particularly helpful providing us with directions and a map to the nearest church for the service in the morning. The room was warm and inviting like someone had turned on the heat anticipating our arrival. This was particularly nice since we came in late after a long drive. The building was older but nicely remodeled and quite comfortable […] and clean. There was plenty of space in the room to get around. In general it was not elegant but very nice and homey. We loved it and a plus it was next door to an Applebee's. We would definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I stayed while my mother was in CCU at St Joseph. It was perfect for what I needed, a place to crash since I couldn't stay with her. "Not bad at all"
Stayed here before running the BCS Marathon. Being a low-rated hotel, and the cheapest room in town, expectations were very low. Surprisingly, everything was very clean and maintained. "For the price, works just fine."
This was my second stay. It was a weekday, not a gameday weekend. For the price you pay, the hotel is fine. It suited my needs fine. Yes, the towels weren't thick and luxurious and the pillows were a little uncomfortable, but they did the job. Usually I bring my own pillows, so I never noticed that before, but this time I forgot. I couldn't seem to […] access wi-fi in my room, but that's about all I could complain about. The rest was just fine and I would stay here again. The style of motel is the old style with doors to the outside, so if you don't like that, pay lots more somewhere else to get inside hallways. Personally, that doesn't bother me at all. "Right Price, Right Place"
The price was great and so was the location (near our destination in Bryan, but still in College Station). Not the fanciest hotel, of course, but a great value and hardly any complaints. This is an older property. While clean, the rooms could use a bit of updating. TV's are older models (not HD or widescreen). Carpet, bedding, and towels showed a lot of wear. The reviews of this place are all over the board. This is not a four star hotel - don't expect one. Toilet handle was broken, and I reported it. Waited awhile for someone to come, but no one came.
