Great hotel!! Had a really pleasant stay here, the breakfast is really good lots of. Fresh fruit and the option of having pancakes as we as any style of eggs. We had a double bed each even though we booked 1 double which was nice and both beds had their own hanging mosquito net- v cute :)

Senior traveler exploring Vietnam after working in Hanoi for 6 weeks. Staff were above and beyond in friendliness and helpfulness. One problem was my own, but I have traveled extensively in many countries and still […] could not figure out how to turn the lights off without completely shutting off the entire electrical system in my room including the mini-fridge and power to recharge my laptop. Also, a bit of a more of a walk into the picturesque old town than many of the hotels, but nothing is very far in Hoi An. However, that makes it very close to restaurant "43" (find review on Trip Advisor) which you will have to visit when in Hoi An. Read more

We had spent 5 nights in another hotel in Hoi An, and it was terrible, so when we decided to stay longer we found this gem. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was superb. They have a good selection. The room was fine, a little noisy in the mornings, but that is normal enough. Sometimes our AC would have a hissy fit and not switch on, sometimes […] it started beeping in the middle of the night. But the room was really clean, they give you complimentary water every day. They are very friendly and helpful. There is free internet, tea, coffee, a pool. They clean the room daily, replace the towels etc. The laundry was also a very decent price and it came perfectly dry. I absolutely loved staying at this hotel. It was a little off the beaten path of the three main roads in Hoi An but it is such a small town it is not difficult to get anywhere by foot. The staff was very friendly and spoke excellent English. Our room was unfortunately on the first floor but it was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked like […] a charm. And trust me, you will need it in July in Vietnam. They also had a pool which is definitely a must have at this time of year. Especially because there was an unusual heat wave while we were there and the temperature was consistently in the 100's, it was nice to come back to the hotel for a couple of hours to cool down and take a swim. They have tried to do something different with the décor and it is charming. The swimming pool is great and the back deck where you take breakfast is gorgeous looking out onto a working green field. Breakfast was outstanding. All this within walking distance of the town. English is quite limited by the staff but we got by!

A really lovely hotel not far from the old town (about a 5 minute walk). the staff are really lovely and the breakfast is very good. Lovely hotel, a short walk to the old town. The view from the balcony was beautiful place to have a coffee in the morning. The breakfast was delicious with a lot of options. Staff were personable, however various staff offered different stores that were "family" that could tailor clothes, which we ignored.

There was very little hot water, the floorboards in the shower were broken, the coffee in the room was 3in1 (ie no choice as to if you want black coffee or without sugar etc) and the breakfast buffet wasn't very good. The staff, however, were lovely and couldn't have been more helpful.

A great place to stay. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was great with a huge range of very nice food - the toasted baguettes were wonderful! The staff arranged all our transfers and bookings very well. Highly recommended.

Hotel is in a nice quiet street, close to all amenities. Our room was at the back facing a paddy of Morning Glory. (They eat this as a vegetable.) Luckily the air worked ok as this room faced west so got quite hot in the afternoon. Breakfast was adequate for us. Held on a big deck at the back of the hotel. Very pleasant. We only stayed for 2 nights but found the hotel and staff excellent. One of the best features was that it is in the main town and no taxi required to get to all the shops and restaurants, yet when having breakfast on the back deck it seemed you were out in the country We are going to stay longer next time .The hotel is a credit to the owner.

Staff are really friendly and lovely people. They were able to help us with all our enquiries, and recommended some really nice restaurants when we asked (eg: the Secret Garden Restaurant). About a 10 min walk into the city centre. Which altough close is difficult to walk in the hot weather. The rooms were a little small and stuffy. We were on our honeymoon, […] and were initially put in a 2 bed room although we had booked a queen size bed. They were very nice about it, and apologetic and rectified the problem the next day. Overall fairly old decor and the bathrooms were clean but confined and humid so not the most comfortable, but still manageable. Friendly staff in this quiet street but still close to the town centre. It's a small hotel with a B&B feel but air con works well and lovely clean room with a homely feel. More broadly, persoanally I was very disappointed with Hoi-an, which is rather like Disneyland in Vietnam. There are more (foreign) tourists than locals and everything is designed […] around tourism. The sense you get is that it is just a day trip location for tourists in one of the 'camps' in Da Nang so that they can feel they have seen the 'real Vietnam' but in fact it's so packaged that it's not at all real. The Thien Thanh hotel is a lovely little place about 10 minutes walk from the historic centre of lovely Hoi An. We had a room at the front with a view over the street (and a building site which my husband found endlessly fascinating!) - it is probably worth paying the little extra (the hotel is extraordinarily good value) for a room at the back with […] overlooks fields. The choices for breakfast were relatively limited but the cooked to order banana pancakes were so delicious that it really didn't matter. The pool is small and there is no lift. It is really the staff which make this hotel - there seemed to be a small army of young women doing everything from cooking omelettes to manning reception, always friendly, helpful and smiling. I enjoyed excellent service and decor at this small hotel, near (but not within) the old quarter in Hoi An. We had to leave at 5 in the morning in order to catch an early plane, and they arranged a taxi to pick us up on time and a light breakfast for us to eat in the hotel lobby before we left. There's a cozy indoor pool and dining on the verandah. […] I would not recommend their laundry service, however, since a dark shirt of mine was ruined with what looked like bleach spots. And my room on the top floor was comfortable, although I bumped my head three times on an exposed beam that I learned to avoid only after repeated injury. Hoi An was amazing and the Hotel was excellent. A little out of the main town yet backing onto the morning glory fields with a quaint little balcony. We had the best time at the Thien Thanh Hotel. The staff were so friendly and made us feel so welcome. The breakfast served on the back deck set the atmosphere over looking the countryside. Our room overlooked the front street and we had some beautiful local houses opposite. We were within walking distance of everything in town and hired bikes with […] drivers to take us to the beach (very cheap) for two ladies in our 50's we had a ball!! At the beach we chose fish and prawns still alive in tanks for lunch with salads (so cheap) Had clothes made at Tom Tom owned by the hotel just a few doors down and were very thrilled with the garments we received. The girls here were true craftsmen and took so much pride in what they made for us-having 3-4 fittings. Flowers scattered on our made up beds were a lovely touch. Staff here were the best in Vietnam-the town is so relaxed in comparison to Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi. A nice change from the hussle and bussle of the bigger towns. Locals having a work party in the next building invited us in off the footpath and had us up dancing and singing and testing the local brew!!!! How friendly is this !! The service that we experienced was much above anything that I ever experience in a North American hotel.
