"Our stay was very good"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Me and my husband stayed for one night as a mini-babymoon and we were quite satisfied for our stay. The room is comfy and we really enjoyed the pool as well. We would surely go back again.

"Everything I expected and more"
You get what you pay for and more at the River Rock Resort. All the staff were extremely courteous and helpful and the amenities were top notch. I recommend this place for a convenient and reasonably priced getaway.
I have stayed at the hotel previously and enjoyed it but this time I was put in a room in the oldest part of the hotel. Not even a bathtub, shower only. Rooms are getting rundown and needed a bit of TLC.

"River Rock Richmond"
There should be better signage. My partner and I found it very difficult to figure out how to get to the hotel from the parking lot. I checked in first so when I told my partner my room (east wing) he also had a lot of difficulty finding it. Also there were no coffee packs included with the coffee maker. The room service breakfast in the morning was […] prompt and delicious. Overall we enjoyed our stay (once we found the room!) Read more

"River Rock - on Skytrain route"
Skytrain is an excellent way to get to the hotel. The only thing I would have negative to say about the hotel are the resturants. If you don't want to eat at he buffet or higher end dining then you have to go into the casino to the food court where choices are limited. Ventelation in the food court isn't great and you can smell strong cooking smoke […] . Read more
"River Rock, Vancouver"
The hotel and casino were fine and a good location for the skytrain. Driving directions need to be fine tuned prior to arriving from out of province. Other than the pool there was not a lot for young adults or children. Most restauants were restricted to minors. The staff are we trained and friendly.
"RiverRock"
This hotel has many great attributes, the service was terrible however the rooms and ambiance were fantastic. I would give it another try.

"River rock hotel casino"
Stayed there for a romantic getaway I found the check agent very cold and was made to feel like we were aliens,, as well would of very much liked to have known there was no bathtub in washroom!!!! Did find two hairs in sink. Breakfast was excellent and on time and no ridiculous service charge was appreciated!
"Outstanding!!!"
Only gave the surrounding neighbourhood a middle range grade but quite frankly, was really no issue at all. The quality of service was superb right from the parking lot on. The room exceeded our expectations, was spotless, and the bed, oh my, soooooo nice. Had a great night's sleep and ready for my flight the next day. The food in the restaurant was […] good, not exceptional but good and good value for money spent. Travelling through the casino was fun and had the pleasure of meeting son and daughter and law in Curves bar for a drink. All in all, if staying in a hotel whilst in the lower mainland again, I won't look further that the River Rock. Well done people. Read more
"River Rock Resort - Excellent!"
I only stayed one night but wanted to stay longer. The beds are insanely comfortable and the rooms are very clean. Great TV's and the room has a docking station so you can listen to your music/set your alarm on your iPhone.
"Overall"
We found the stay and our dinner at Tramontos very nice and would stay again. As far as the Casino was concerned we were dissapointed as one of our party was denied entrance as she only had one piece of ID even tho we tried to explain that this was a girls trip out staying at the hotel, fancy dinner and seeing the show she was still not allowed in{She […] is 29years old} so my 50yh birthday for wich she was paying half of was a bit of a disapointment , My advice to anyone going take lots of ID. "The hotel at River Rock"
hotel great except not very orientated for kids except for pool. for some apparent reason they located the Food Fair in the casino with no access to those under 19. The buffet is excellent but pricy for families.
"Excellent Hotel"
Was an excellent Hotel. The check in was a little rushed. There was a line up. We chose not to valet park but had to use the bell girl anyway as there are no carts for luggage available with-out a bellgirl. The room was over our expectations and that is hard to find. We were impressed with the Green features. The concierge in the hotel was the best. […] She provided us with everything from maps of the area and the trolley tour. She even told us where to eat and things to see. Being able to purchase tickets for the trolley right there was very convenient as well. The skytrain station was right there as well. This made our stay and tour of the city the best. We arrived back to our room to a treat and card from the concierge. The best service you could ask for.We were able to see and do all of the things we wanted right from the convenience of the Hotel. We would highly recommend!!!! Read more

"River Rock Casino - EXCELLENT..."
I was in Vancouver on business the week of December 5th. I have never stayed @ the River Rock Casino before and was VERY impressed! The service, the food and the cleanliness were top notch. This will be my home base when in Vancouver going forward. Very impressed with the valet service too, polite, efficient. well done people!
"Wonderful Stay"
We stayed in the new south tower and enjoyed the room. I found the bed too soft but my husband liked it so that to me is not a reflection of quality but of choice. I would have to say the only negative thing about the facility is that we could not get into any of the nice restaurants. That being said the food in the international food court was fin […] e. "River Rock, great stay - with or without kids!"
We brought our daughter with us for the weekend (she's 5) the pool was awesome for her she loved the waterslide. The water was a bit cold for me though. I like a warmer pool. The staff service was excellent, and the hotel was comfortable, the room was a little tight for the three of us, in the new hotel side. would have actually paid a bit extra to […] stay on the casino side as it is more convenient but the walk did us good anyways and really its not that far! The train is super convenient and we took it to science world, and downtown which saved us having to drive and get our car out of valet. the biggest downside was the lack of good food in the area, you couldn't really walk to any fun, good restaurants, and the casino has a great buffet (breakfast buffet is unbeatable for the value), but I didn't want to eat there every time. It would be nice if they developed the surrounding area a bit to make it more family friendly. Really enjoyed the stay overall. Read more

"French doors"
We used this hotel as a place to relax and unwind from our extended vacation. It turned out to be an awesome idea. The Absolute Spa in the Hotel is the best experience I have had to date with spa's. The Casino was fun, and if your in a mood for snaks at 4am, they got you covered. We really enjoyed the suite that had french doors to the private bedroom, […] which I believe is a standard room in this Hotel. It was a wonderful experience. Read more
Great pool. Very comfortable room. Hotel staff very friendly.
"Great location for the Concert we where seeing"
Great Hotel in a good location easy access to Vancouver and YVR Airport via skytrain attended concert in theatre attached to Casino very nice for size of venue would stay again but would pay extra for river view next time.
"Good facilities - parking is a bid wonky"
Hotel is clean and conveniently located close to the airport and skytrain. If you drive there - parking may be a challenge.
"river rock in richmond"
We were told we would have a soaker tub and city view. Room only had shower and no city view instead a parking lot. Very disappointed as I was looking forward to the tub. Nice room otherwise but like to get what I am told when I book

Terible parking for hotel guests. I had to run back and forth a cpl times to the car and there honsetly should be a shuttle cart or something. besides that we really enjoyed
"River Rocks"
This is great facility. Conveniently located to the airport and the Canada line. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful.
"River Rock Casino Resort"
Stayed one night. Chose this hotel & location as it was close to the airport, 10 minutes (max) Skytrain ride to the airport. Service was excellent. Printer wasn't working in the business centre, so Concierge printed documents for me. The Standard Suite with King and Queen pullout bed was very comfortable for my family. The shower curtain smelled sour […] upon walking into the suite...after 2 phone calls to housekeeping and an unnecessary 45 min wait, it was replaced. The buffet was fairly standard for a casino, but no complaints about the food and the sushi station was the highlight. The common areas were very clean. Read more
"The River Rock Hotel and Casino"
Really great service, and beautiful room. However, I was dissapointed in the selection of restaurants. It was my honeymoon weekend with my wife and we had to drive around richmond for an hour trying to find a decent place to eat. Despite that, I would definitely stay there again!
"River Rock Hotel and Casino"
Okay, so the fake river that greets each guest who enters the hotel lobby is totally cheesy, that's a given. However, the staff are keen to please, friendly, courteous, and even went out of their way to find three items I'd lost during our stay. They found everything, and everything was delivered to me in a way that made me feel like they genuinely […] cared. The room was VERY CLEAN, as were all the facilities we used during our stay. The bed was amazingly comfortable, although an extra blanket on hand would have been helpful. We only ordered room service, but the portions were generous, and everything was fresh and flavorful. I would certainly recommend this hotel. The management should be congratulated. Read more

"Casino hotel"
Accommodation was excellent except for the see through glass bedroom door. Little or no directional service re confusing layout of the hotel. Parking far away from hotel. Geared to casino guests. Close to Skytrain to downtown Vancouver. Surrounding was undeveloped.

"RIver Rock Resort Richmond BC"
have stayed three or four times and found everything to be above and beyond. This stay was very disappointed in the bed and the noise level and the price for what we received. We paid extra for the use of the sofa and it had a big hole in the middle and was very uncomfortable the bed in the bedroom was not a pillowtop like we had previously and there […] was a loud humming noise and elevator noise Read more

"Good customer service"
We found the hotel to be friendly and clean. Our room was quiet and spacious. If and when we required customer service the hotel staff response was quick and exceptional. "Dog Friendly in Richmond"
We were looking for a dog friendly weekend getaway close to home (we live in North Vancouver) and settled on the River Rock. They don't go out of their way to advertise that they are pet friendly, and many people were taken aback when they saw us with our dog. We constantly heard "they allow dogs here! I wish I knew, I would have brought mine!" The […] hotel lobby is not super easy to find (it's on the second level) and there's no driveway area for guests to pull into temporarily (the valet would not let us pull in without paying) while they check in, so we parked in the parkade which is a fair walk away. We had to make two trips with our luggage and dog. The room itself was very nice (a king suite), however the bed was almost too soft and the pillows were almost too thick. The hotel itself was VERY BUSY due to being attached to the casino. The trek from our room in the West tower, to the pool in the East tower took us down two elevators and straight through the main lobby (which can get very busy especially at night) -- not the most pleasant experience walking through hordes of casino goers in a robe with soaking we hair! we wished the pool had a more discreet entrance. In terms of our dog, he had a ball. The grounds offer plenty of grass and a small boardwalk area for morning and evening outings. Additionally, McDonald Beach next to the airport is off leash. We went there more than 6 times during our weekend stay. I wouldn't pay the full advertised price for this hotel, but if you can find a deal, it's worth it! Read more
