"Nice place and good location"
Hotel Piram was nice, clean, and the staff was helpful. The location was convenient and right by the train station. We walked to the Trevi fountain and pantheon. The only complaint I have is we booked the hotel for the hot tub on the roof and the staff said it was open until 1030-11 depending on the guests and we went at 8 and it was closed. Apparently this day it closed at 8 so we didn't get to use the hot tub.

Breakfast buffet is correct. Staff is very friendly. Water supply in the shower works very bad and you get cold/too hot/cold constantly. They could not repair it at all! No shower 4 days long. No water boiler or 4* related hotel supplies in the rooms. Sauna/spa areas are not included in price of the room! That was a (bad) surprise! This hotel is correct but as a 3* Hotel, not more!

Nice hotel, near the Termini station and old city. The hotel was renovated and it has new lift and rooms have new windows. Room was clean and quite well equipped. For breakfast they have maybe too many sweets and not enough salami and cheeses.

"Beware - not a Four Star hotel - 2 at the most!"
Beds were hard, pillows (only one standard kind in hotel) equally hard and uncomfortable. I slept poorly as the room was facing the back alley - night time garbage pickups and deliveries to other hotels went on from 11 pm and started again at 5 0r 6 am. I should have asked for another room. Breakfast buffet was average; it never varied. Furnishings were threadbare - no desk, just a small chair, etc. TV did not work, but I wasn't there for the television. Overall, a very disappointing place and I would never go back - my advice - BEWARE and don't let the pictures fool you!

"Nice hotel near the Termini station."
Extremely convenient. If you are expecting a true four star luxury, you probably don't want this hotel. But, all you need is a clean, safe, comfortable and convenient hotel, with great free full breakfast, and reasonable prices, then this hotel fits the bill perfectly. Building is little bit dated, but so is everything in Rome. The hotel location on Google maps is little bit off. The Welcome Piram hotel is directly behind the National museum, west of via Cavour on Via Giovanni Amendola.

"Close to train station"
This is a great location if you need to take an early train out of Termini. It is also easily accessible to a couple of Metro stations. This is an older hotel that has seen better days, but it is still basically clean and adequate. They provided a dinner which was much better than expected free of charge. They also provided a boxed breakfast since our train was earlier than the breakfast service--a very nice amenity. This hotel is a very good value. I would stay here again as a one night stopover if I needed a location close to train station.

Our first thought when choosing this hotel was the fact that they had a free van shuttle to and from the airport. Secondly they were close to local transportation...bus and train. Then we looked at what they had to offer, wifi in lobby, free breakfast, clean rooms, and we were sold.

Really loved the location - close to Termini stop allowed us to use the Metro to tour the city quickly and inexpensively. The room was air conditioned which was great to return to. Great bathroom/water pressure in shower. Lovely rooftop bar. Food in restaurant v good (and convenient). Overall - a great base for touring Rome. Staff were very helpful in booking dinners, printing out tickets, etc. Really an excellent place - and we are very picky boutique hotel guests.

"Piram Hotel"
Very nice hotel. It was well located only a block from the train station, about a 3 minute walk. The map associated with the location is a block or two off, but google maps had the location correctly placed. The room was air conditioned, private bath with small but nice shower. Breakfast included, but only from 0730 to 0930. Centrally located to all major sites - nothing more than about a 15 minute walk away - Colliseum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, etc. Only exception was Vatican, but since Hotel is only a block from the metro that runs to the Vatican (and the Colliseum in the other direction), it was not a problem. I will definitely use this hotel again.

"nice hotel next to the Termini Station"
We were welcomed by a very pleasant staff and received a meal voucher for the first night which included a three course meal at the hotel. I was not expecting that and what a wonderful meal we had. We had a bit of a problem with the shower head (our fault) but it was fixed right away. We used a train pass to get around Italy so being in a hotel which was two blocks from the main station was a plus. There were lots of restaurants in the area as well as fast food. The room was small but according to American standards most of the hotel rooms in Europe are.

"Not a 4 star hotel!"
We stayed at this hotel last week. The location is key to anyone traveling for pleasure and this is their first time to Rome. The hotel is within walking distance to the train which gives you very easy access to all the major sites. If you are going there for business however things are different. The free wi fi is VERY spotty. I originally thought it was because I was in Europe, but then I tried the internet at a few restaurants down the street and never had a problem. The Air Conditioner in our room broke one night, the guy at the front desk said it was due to the rain? Luckily it wasnt very hot out while we were there. The only way we could gain air circulation was to open the screenless window to our room. The problem there is that the room overlooks an alley and there are people going thru there all night. I am from Chicago so I am no stranger to noise but we asked to be switched to a different room. The guy at the front desk said only his manager could approve that and I would have to come back in 5 hours!!! The shower had a slow drain.. The maid service was average, she did not refill glasses etc.. I know I could have asked for it but not in a 4 star hotel. Overall, I would not classify this as a 4 star hotel but if you only are using the room to sleep in while you are on tours etc then I think it is adequate.

"Lovely Plus More!"
The day time staff was very good; the guy at the desk in the evenings wasn't very friendly or helpful. They use 2 hot tubs on the roof as pools but maybe should put a time limit; some people stayed in there for over an hour and really can't comfortably have more than 4 in at a time so some of us were regularly unable to use it. Seems to attract people from many countries, which we like.

"Not a 4 star hotel"
The room was a reasonable size, however the bathroom had mould in the corners of the tiles and when the fan was off it smelled, the exterior of the hotel was in extremely poor condition and dirty, some of the common areas were in reasonable enough condition, the air conditioning barely worked and the breakfast was average at best. "A great hotel in walking distance to most of Rome!"
I booked the room in six months' advance from Expedia with about 60% discount. My credit card wasn't charged so I decided to give the hotel a call two weeks before our trip. The staff on the phone was very polite and helpful, and they confirmed my booking. We (me, my wife, and our 4 year old daughter) arrived at the hotel in the afternoon, to be greeted by a very sincere gentleman, with a great reassuring smile. We were quickly checked in and offered a free dinner voucher for our arrival evening. This is a very thoughtful gesture since you don't want to get into the hassle of finding a place to eat after travelling whole day. The room was very large and clean with a newly refurbished bathroom. The three course dinner was excellent. The breakfast was full of options and we enjoyed it so much (actually, we were eating so much we avoided lunch until 3-4PM). There was also a roof bar, which was very calming and enjoyable. During our stay the hotel staff was very sincere, helpful, and smiling. Overall, it was a great experience at a bargain price. A great choice for families.

"Spend your money elsewhere"
The staff at this hotel are very unfriendly. Though it is close to Termini, I would suggest staying elsewhere. The elevators broke while we were there making a 6th floor room seem hard to get to. The air conditioning doesn't work very well either, along with their WiFi. On a positive note, breakfast was decent and the roof top area made for a great late night spot to have coffee.

Everything went very well. The location of the hotel is very central with just a few steps to Stazione Termini and several restaurants around. Staff were helpful and the room was spacious and clean. The facade of the hotel does not look particularly welcoming, but the inside is fine. The balconies look slightly unsafe and wires on the balconies are hanging outside the wall unsecured. Breakfast offers a variety of options. Generally a great place to explore the city.

"Good loc to Termini, Noisy, Hard Beds, Poor Value"
Convenient to the Termini train station....but defintely NOT at 4 star hotel. Rooms were fairly clean but worn. Our room was on a closed alley but still had lots of VERY loud traffic noise and yelling for extended perious of time late at night. Sleep quite difficult even with the "sound-proof" windows. Our family has awarded this hotel the "hard bed" award for all of the EU.....we have put up with a lot in our fairly significant travels, but never have we all woken so sore and aching from our beds. We stayed for three nights but would never repeat the experience. We chose the hotel for its proximity to the Train Station but could have gotten FAR more for the money elsewhere. Also, for those who care, you will notice that the hotel carries a large number of anti-American English Language TV channels(not sure what the other language stations were saying)... with CNN disabled for some reason......Several Chinese Communist stations are included with subtitles, Al-Jazeera came through loud and clear, some form of "EuroNews" channel where everything from south african mining strikes to flooding in Germany seems to be the fault of the United States.........BBC & Bloomberg were there but did not appear to be active 7X24. I understand that different establishment owners have varying views around the world and this is part of the experice of travelling.......but for those who care, perhaps this would not be the best place to spend your decadant American dollars

We had a very nice stay at the Piram. It's close to the train station so it was an easy walk from there. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very nice. Our room was very nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. There is an old lift that still works and that's fun to use, there's also a new modern one, both work equally as well. "Avoid, as most other 3 start hotels are way better"
The hotel is near Termini. It is very close to the Republic square, which is where all the fun begins. The area is safe. Bear in mind that you can reach Termini by a taxi for about 10 EUR from most of the central sites of Rome, so you do not actually have to live right by the Termini station. If you book an economy room, you have to know that it has no closet, not a single hanger to hang your shirt or unpack you bag. NoT even a tiny desk for laptop / work. Rooms are clean, The internet signal is poor in some rooms and acceptable in others. While the hotel has two elevators, one traditional and one modern, you still have to drag you bags up stairs to reach the elevators. And the hotel is horrible for guests with accessibility needs or families with younger children. And if you arrive a bit early than 2pm check-in time, there is no way they will let you check in early, even if they have lots of rooms vacant and even if you are staying for two weeks. On the positive side, they will store your luggage for free (as pretty much every other hotel in Italy). So to cut it short, I would recommend avoiding this hotel if you have a chance to book a better 3-star hotel in Termini area (north-west of Termini) or any place better, like Trevi Fountain or Spanish Steps (Spagna). I have even seen a hotel directly by Pantheon that does not have a start rating and is much better than this hotel. But if you have not choice, than I guess this hotel is ok for a short stay and a place to sleep.

"OK for the price"
More of a 3.5 Rating. Room for 3 people. FIrst of all, if you're going from outside Europe & have never been, temper your expectations of what a 4 Star hotel gives you. Review is based on other hotels/price range in Italy, which i've been to several times. Positives: Hotel was pretty inside. They often had someone waiting on the door for us. Really close to train station. A good breakfast buffet. Negatives: Don't know how many floors there were, we were on the 5th...maybe a few more. That being said, they only had 1 elevator for the whole hotel. You actually can take the service elevator as well, but sometimes that is being used by the cleaning staff in the morning. The drawers on the dresser we had were pretty hard to open half the time, not in great condition. TV was slow to change channels, of which there were not many. One really annoying thing that I would've expected more of is that they only have one person running the front desk. We got in and were waiting behind 3-4 other groups checking room. Just comparing that experience to a 4 Star hotel in Milano where they had several people & I was in & out...I stayed in May, could be worse in summer months. I usually would stay in a cheaper place for my money, but was with my parents,& they wanted a place really close to the train station, a breakfast buffet, and private bathroom. This place fit the bill for that at not a bad price. Overall not bad, but would've expected a little more, but OK overall.

The Piram is clean, comfortable and a bargain, compared to other like hotels in the station area. A good breakfast is served, and the location is excellent.
