"Great location if driving a rental car!"
I rented a car and driving to and from Rome didn't bother me so I actually preferred this hotel's proximity to both the airport as well as to the charming town of Ostia Antica up the street over a hotel within the Rome metropolitan area (that I started my trip in). I ended up eating at the hotel restaurant most of the nights I was there before going […] to bed and the pizza and pasta was delicious and the waitress charming. The morning restaurant staff are not able to keep up if a large tour group is there but will do everything they can to accomodate individual travelers like myself despite tour group competition. I would absolutely use Ostia Antica Park again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Have you ever seen the movie "Hostel?""
I stayed here for about 10 hours in between flights from Cairo to Atlanta, GA. I'd read that it was in a residential neighborhood so I did not have very high expectations. The staff was friendly and helpful. My disappointment is that the walls of the hotel were extremely thin and I could hear EVERYTHING and EVERYBODY as they passed the hallway and even […] in their rooms. This hotel reminded me of the movie "Hostel". Creepy, old, extremely basic. The bed was horribly uncomfortable. There are no English tv channels. I also didn't like that the room door did not have a "peephole". The free buffet was "fair". It included chilled cereals, danishes, coffee and juice. Enough to get the day started. They offered a shuttle to the airport, but it cost 17Euros per person - each way. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good Value for the price"
The hotel staff was friendly and attentive. They offered a spa package with a 30 minute massage for 30 euros which was nice. The spa area and lobby were very nice; however, the rooms were a little outdated. In terms of value, this hotel was good when you consider what you pay. I would be delighted to return in the future.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Pleasant hotel near Rome Fiumicino Airport"
Hotel is pleasing visually, quite good functionally, and the staff is very helpful. (We don't know about their ability in English, since we communicated in Italian.) It's a 10-15 minute ride from the airport, but the fixed rate taxi fare is pretty steep (E30). Note that they do have an hourly shuttle, for just E15 per room each way. If you're driving, […] then they are well situated and have plenty of safe, free parking. They are not a hotel you'd stay in if you were planning to tour within Rome, and there's not much near the hotel in terms of walking, but they'd be good for touring nearby Ostia Antica. Their breakfast buffet is typical of Italian mid-range hotels. When we stayed there a few years ago, we had a really good supper in their restaurant, but this time it was closed (unexpectedly) for St. Stephen's Day - a national holiday in Italy. "Too far from the airport"
Hotel was great. Very cheap, very clean. I got charged 90 euro in taxi fares though. They have a shuttle, but it only runs for part of the day.Genuine Expedia guest review
"We weren't happy"
Hotel is close to airport and Ostia Antica ruins, but the location is still pretty dreary. You can't really walk anywhere from there. Beds were pretty uncomfortable. Overall, the place is kinda depressing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good vaklue for money; near airport"
Good location near Airport. easy travel to Rome on train. The old Roman port very close by and not to be missed if you are doing the tourist bit.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to Airport"
The room was pretty typical for a hotel close to the airport. About a 20-30min shuttle ride.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Mixed results for hotel"
The room was in terrible condition and very tiny. It felt like a dorm room in college. The shower was overflowing creating a flood in the bathroom. However, the breakfast was good and the 15 euro per room transfer to the airport was a great deal.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Do not rely on shuttle service"
The hotel was basically fine, even though they nickel-and-dime you. My main gripe was that, although I prearranged for the shuttle to pick me up at the airport, I waited an hour, had to spend a euro to call them, and didn't get a ride until an hour and a half late. For that hassle, I had the pleasure of paying 15 euro. When I asked for a reduced fee, […] I received the lame excuse of 'traffic' that was apparently invisible on the ride to the hotel. They did not offer anything in the way making me happier, but I was really too tired to make a huge fuss. Also, the air conditioning in the room didn't really work; the restaurant and bar appeared to be closed; there is no reasonable way to get to much else without a car. In short, I was left hungry, sober, and bitter, but I lacked the energy to complain (absolving them of some fault). Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Ostia Antica Hotel"
I would not stay in this hotel again. It is too far from Rome. The internet is super slow and the TV only had 4 local channels. There is only one restaurant beside the hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Far from Rome"
The hotel was 1 hour away from Rome and we had to take the bus and the train to get there. It was a good stay but far from Rome.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel OSTIA ANTICA"
It is OK but too small rooms, small TV and nothing around. Pretty clean hotel and friendful person ell.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very Helpful Staff"
We enjoyed our stay and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Unless you are familiar with the area the hotel was hard to find. We were driving on the autostrata and I thought I saw it from the road so we doubled back and found it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
No wifi in rooms. Other than that everything was good!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close but Far"
So the hotel is really close to the airport BUT that doesnt mean it will be cheap getting there. Once we asked a taxi to go they asked for 40 euros. Said it was 45 minutes away. Which I knew was BS cause on the map its literally like 3 km away. Anyways we were 3 deep so splitting it 3 ways wasnt to bad. If your solo best bet is to call the hotel and […] they can pick you up for 15 euros per person. Also the hotel is in the sticks. Only reason why you would want to stay here is specifically cause your stuck out there and need a place to stay for low cost. Other then that find something in Rome. Overall nice hotel. A bit far from the airport though. Also, the beds were very hard.Genuine Expedia guest review
We thought it would be closer the the airport than it was. Also thought it was closer to the beach. Hot tub not available. Swimming pool good. Room had a nice balcony. Town of Ostia Antica with good restaurants close bus ride or possible to walk. Breakfast good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Overnight in Ostia Antica"
We needed a place to stay overnight near Rome's Fumicino airport. We had also heard of the wonderful Roman era ruins in Ostia Antica, (which were amazing!) so opted to stay there. It was a very adequate room for the price. We had a large balcony, which we sat on all evening, enjoying the lovely unusually warm evening. The hotel is a bit difficult to […] get to if you are taking a train out from Rome, as there are few taxis, but there is a bus from the antiquity site. They have a shuttle bus to and from the airport for 15 euros PER ROOM, not per person. It is a resort/spa, they have a lovely pool outdoors. The breakfast is great in their restaurant, which also serves dinner. The staff is friendly and helpful. Overall, it was great value for the money. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

we were happy with everyting at the hotel - especially the staff and continental breakfast, however we were disappointed that we were charged for the shuttle to and from the hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Near hidden treasure"
Though a little off the beaten path, the hotel is perfect for bed and breakfast. The staff are helpful an it's great value for the added pool facilities. The town's main access is by it's train station which is directly opposite the old ruins of Ostia Antica, and it is a fantastic site to see for anyone who loves Roman history.Genuine Expedia guest review
Pool area is excellent, rooms are basic but have everything you need and the hotel staff are extremely helpful and polite.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Affordable & comfortable"
We stayed here for one night due to its affordable pricing and location close to the Rome airport (10-15 minutes away by car - we had a rental). The hotel front desk staff were pleasant, they immediately brought ice to our room when asked if any was available and also informed us of the Ostia Antica ruins which were located 2 kms down the road - which […] we did go to and found it fascinating since we did not have time to go to Pompei on this trip. The hotel room although not large, had a balcony and was very clean. It included a hotel room safe and bar fridge. It also had a lovely pool (which we used at no cost) and an inside/outside lounge area to have a drink. While we did not have dinner at the hotel restaurant, the breakfast provided was plentiful. "Ideal location for visiting Rome & friendly staff"
Staff bend over backwards to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The food was spot on also rooms and facility's were excellent. We are planning another trip to Rome next year and will be booking the Ostia antica hotel again.Genuine Expedia guest review
Arrived late after travelling up from Naples, thought it was closer to airport, 15 euro transfer. Staff were very considerate and helpful. Not really anywhere to have a morning stroll. Breakfast good. More of a business hotel for conferences. Didnt reall y have time to explore but apparently a historic town nearby with ruins etc. Had to pay if you wanted […] to use the pool!!! Rooms basic and in need of a bit of TLC. wifi only downstairs. Nothing really that special but served a purpose as they had a bar. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel friendly staff very helpful"
No taxi at the Ostia Antica station a gentlemen called a taxi non available so he called the hotel who kindly came to collect us. Good bus links, train & Metro Breakfast was lovely given it was continental, all fresh with plenty of choice. Spa & swimming pool looked good, didn't get to use it as our time was spent seeing the sites of Rome.Genuine Expedia guest review

"to be recommended"
Excellent hotel with one proviso, they don't do lunch, I did not award full marks to staff because, although, reception, room, spa and breakfast staff were excellent. I cannot say the same about the service on the two occasions I had an evening meal. When I was with a friend the service then was good. However when I ate a woman alone the service I […] received was to say the least offensive. My order was taken immediately but my meal was served long after several other tables that had arrived and ordered after me. I notice that I was not only woman alone to be given the same treatment. About 20 minutes after me woman sat at another table with a drink. Her order like mine was taken immediately but I notice that when I was trying to catch the waiter's eye for my bill she was doing the same thing. Whilst I had waited for and then eaten she still awaited her food. Altogether I recommend the hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not a good value"
First off I have to take the blame for booking a hotel that isn't within walking distance if the FCO airport. Having said that there are a few things that really turned me off, first was that the shuttle service wasn't available early enough for me to make my 7:55 am flight so I had no choice but to pay €35 for an early taxi. The staff member who booked […] my taxi assured me he'd have a taxi that accepted visa come. I ended up finding out too late that my taxi didn't accept visa and had to pull money from an ATM, he didn't have change so I ended up spending €40 for a 15 minute trip. The internet in the hotel was almost unusable slow, this was at an off peak time too. The hotel was clean and nice and the staff was helpful (apart from the taxi issue). I found out that I owed a €2 tax when I checked out. I thought it would have been billed as part of my expedia booking charge but I was told it wasn't. I would not reccomned this hotel because it isn't convenient for anyone needing transportation to or from the airport or Rome. Get a hotel either in Rome or right by the airport and the savings in transport costs will make up the difference. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great service - uncomfortable bed!"
Overall - OK. Massage at spa was terrific and fair price; front desk service was excellent and nothing was toomuch trouble, but location was uninspiring at best and totally out-of-the way and isolated at worst. My room (223) was small, cramped and basic, with very hard bed. But it was a cheap and cheerful hotel not too far from Fiumincino Airport and […] close to old Ostia townsite which has some great little food/drink places if you're game enough to find them. Take a bus to sea-side Ostia and see local markets and (delapidated) seaside but little to do in the off-season. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"VERY HOT AND NO AIR CONDITION, IN THE COUNTRY SIDE"
This hotel is close to airport but far from the city side. Not a walking distance to anywhere, need to take 04 bus to city ctr or train station, but the schedule is very limited. Don't let the map to fool you. It is in the country side hotel and very hot with no air condition. Even from the hotel to airport , it charges you eur$8.5/person. If you want […] to go to shop in city centre, don't book this hotel because it will take you at least 2 hours of travel time. Even I check on Oct, you may think it is not a hot season but it is very hot. Can you image w NO AC IN YOUR ROOM AND YOU NEED TO OPEN YR WINDON. "Value for money"
Excellent for the price paid. Nothing flashy, but it was great for the cheap price we paid. The shower was fantastic! If getting here by public transport, make sure you take the bus and don't try to walk from Ostia Antica station as the pavement runs out before you get the hotel. There is also a good restaurant in the hotel itself.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good hotel with pleasant staff."
Pre book the shuttle from airport the cab ride is expensive. The hotel is older but well cared for and the staff were helpful and friendly. Ask for a room overlooking the court yard which is quieter. The rooms are basic and beds a little hard but clean and have large balconies. The breakfast included had a nice selection. We would recommend this hotel […] to anyone looking for great value on a budget. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good location for airport"
Good location as it is close to airport by car. The staff were very good and accommodating and go out of their way to provide good customer service. The rooms were clean but a little dated. We ended up being very close to the castle and enjoyed a pleasant supper nearby and only wish we had more time to discover the area.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Blame it on traffic"
Booked the 10am airport shuttle. 30mins late. Staff blaming it on...wait for it...traffic! Shrug your shoulders and wave your hands in a whats the problem way. "Clean good service some enlish speaking staff."
We stayed our 1st week just outside Rome and avoided the hassle of using a car in Rome. The Hotel we stayed at was the Ostia Antica Park Hotel .Grocery store a few blocks away called DOC but used roads left of hotel to get there . Road to right side for bus pickup to dangerous. Took bus and subway into Rome (.approx. an hour and a half sometimes) on […] first day to learn route to first tour . After 3 days we were pros on using the metro buses and subway system. Rome is amazing and the Sistine Chapel , Vatican city the Colossium, Forum Pantheon etc.are must see sights. We were fortunate to take guided tours to avoid long lineups and recommend this if possible. Our stay in the Apennines Mts during the second week was awe inspiring and the Abruzzo Park area is so beautiful, the resort staff pleasant helpful and english speaking at the main desk. The rooms are clean and although small and limited compared to American standards still perfect if one wants to experience the Italian culture. You will need a car staying here but the roads are much less busy, easy to drive on, narrow at times lots of neat winding curves thru the villages. A GPS is recommended and we put ours to good use especially from the airport to the resort. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
