The room was dark and the beds were not that comfortable. Pillows are flat - needs a makeover. The bathroom was spacious and much more cheerful. This hotel is run by older 70+ Italian men an there not friendly. Our first room was nice good size with a nice bathrrom, however we were there 5 min when the noise started the street noise with the cars blowing there horns it was terrible. I went to the front desk and asked if they had a quieter room, they gave us a really small room at the back of […] the hotel no noise but it was the size of a postage stamp. The front desk don't acknowledge you when you walk up, what I did notice is people that spoke italian just walk up and start speaking. There was one nice young English gentleman but clearly the older men out ranked him when it cam to decision making. The breakfast is really just adequate, nothing fancy, nothing made to order. FYI they turn the air off at 2:00am and WONT turn it back on until 2:00pm. Would not stay here again. Read more

I was there for a few days for a business meeting near the Piazza Repubblica, a block from the hotel. This was a great location, a couple of blocks from the Termini and surrounded by shops and restaurants in all directions. In my small but clean room, the only bad thing was the PAPER-THIN WALLS so that EVERY noise made by people in the neighboring room (including bathroom noises, snoring, etc.) could be heard as if inside my room. I needed to be in Rome for a weekend to attend an Opera event. i wanted something near the Train Station (Termini) and the Opera as I was arriving by train and not going to do much else. I have a stand-by hotel in that area but the prices have gotten out of control so I searched for an alternative. Diana was the perfect choice! Right where I wanted […] to be, across from a favorite restaurant and two blocks from the Opera. I had a perfectly adequate room with a nice surprise; a private terrace! Breakfast was the usual fare but in a lovely room on top of the hotel with a view and a terrace. WiFi was good and all "molto bene". The air conditioning is set to come on at a set time in the evening and goes off at a set time in the early morning. We actually had quite warm weather and as the bathroom was small it was a little uncomfortable getting ready in the morning.

We had a great time at the Hotel Diana. The staff was very helpful and courteous. We stayed there a few days before our cruise and after getting on the ship I realized I left my watch. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay. I stayed for one night before my return back home. The front desk was not hospitable. I arrived at 12:15pm and the attendant at the front desk did not acknowledge me until I greeted him. He was busy looking at available rooms for another guest who was checking in for multiple people who weren't expected […] to arrive until 4:30pm. When I finally got checked in, 12:30pm, I was told there were no rooms available at the moment and that check in wasn't until 1pm. If I hadn't pointed out the advanced check-in that occurred a few minutes ago, they would have had me wait another 30 minutes to give me a room. The wait staff in the breakfast room, on the other hand, was quite friendly and helpful. They greeted everyone with a smile and were ready to provide information on the food served (breakfast was complimentary... like most other hotels). This service was refreshing compared to the service I received the day before. The bedroom was very clean and the twin size bed was very comfortable. Again, this review is based on a one night stay. We were luckily upgraded to a suite because we showed up early. The room was a very nice size with a separate bedroom & living area. The hotel is in close proximity to Roma Termini as well as walking distance to many shops, convenience stores & restaurants (especially a nice little pizzeria right downstairs). Also within walking distance (20 minutes […] or so) are the ancient ruins of Rome--there is plenty to see along the way. The hotel was clean and the staff was courteous & accommodating. There is free wifi in the lobby although we managed to get it in certain corner of our suite (on the 3rd floor). Take advantage of the free continental breakfast buffet & nice selection of coffee & espresso. Although we were there in December, we took a walk up to the garden which spanned the entire roof. I could only imagine how beautiful it must be in the summer with the open bar & some nice views (the hotel is about the same height as surrounding buildings so you can only see the city in certain directions). Overall, I was very pleased with my stay at the Hotel Diana & would recommend it. If I visit Rome in the future, I would stay there again. Read more

Just five minutes walk to the Termini, where you can get the train, metro, buses to everywhere, including the red open tour bus. Quite a few reasonable restaurants close by. After reading reviews about single rooms I was very pleasantly surprised, I can only assume that the original person who said you could only fit into the shower if you were 0 - 4 in size must have been a very large person. I'm a UK 16 so not a slight person and although you couldn't fit anyone else in the shower I had plenty of room. I liked the touch […] of a can of pepsi a bottle of water and crisps in the fridge. Heated towel rail so nice warm towels, complimentary toiletries provided but not enough product for shower & hair wash so if you have long hair bring your own. Hairdryer provided. Only think lacking kettle for a drink, but obviously they want you to buy from them. 10-15 min walk with case from Termini was dredding that but it was ok. 10 minutes from departing buses for tours. Plenty of places to eat and a please and thank you in Italian gets you a smile. I found the staff to be nice and helpful, the roof view is nice. I was impressed with the location and the way they handlers my reservation yet there was an error from Expedia according to them and maybe it was misunderstanding as they couldn't locate the reservation quickly, but I ended up getting a very nice room and bed was better :)
