"good, but nothing fancy"
I knew what to expect, so was not disappointed. Went with my husband and our friends (family of 4) had a separate room. Close to the slopes with free shuttle. Please note that this is not a "resort" or a traditional hotel. This is a large building with suites which might have been an extended stay resort in the past. Now many of the suites are owned […] by people or local businesses to be used by employees. The other rooms/suites are rented out as a hotel. The decor is very old. The beds are close to those in a Quality Inn. There is a kitchen, which in the standard room had very very dated appliances. I heard that the upgraded rooms were in better shape and the appliances were newer. Fairly clean. Limited staff. In the building there is a restaurant, bar, deli, and free parking is outside. No free breakfast. Free in-door heated pool, two Jacuzzis, dry sauna, stream room. Massages and spa services available for additional fee. Overall a good place if your goal is to have a decent room and to relax in a jacuzzi/sauna after the slopes. Nothing fancy. No room service. Only towel exchange on second day of stay. "Decent option close to the base lodge"
This hotel is a decent option to stay close to the base lodge, but not spend the money for the Grand Resort. Just like most properties in Killington, the condition and decor of the hotel and the room are dated. And the room certainly showed some wear and tear. But the room was clean, the staff was very helpful and efficient, and the location is con […] venient. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"I'd book it again"
The room was legit, its a mini apartment room, wish we knew about the hot water switch ahead of time, but the room was great, I'd book a stay there againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for Spartan Race"
I stayed here while I did the Spartan Race. It was about a 20 minute walk so we got to save money on parking. The room had a full kitchen and a nice balcony. Would stay here again if I was to do another Spartan Race.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Be careful when booking, never staying here again"
I booked this place for the location and convenience of getting to the mountain and the price wasn't terrible for what I thought I was getting. First off, I had no idea that there are private rental condos and each one I am sure is different from the other. I tough I was getting two beds and a pull out couch, little did I know it was two twin beds put […] together, making it a king. The couch was a pull out couch, both the bed and the couch were not comfortable. The pillows were like rocks, my neck was sore the next day. I also thought that there would be a separate bedroom, I was wrong. It's one room! Bed, couch, fireplace, tv, kitchen. All on area. The bathroom was tiny! After two showers, the third one was ice cold. There was no shade of the skylight, so if you even remotely wanted to sleep in the day you were leaving, that wasn't possible because it was so bright in the room. Everything seemed very retro in there, from the oven to the fridge, we didn't even bother cooking dinner. I will definitely look at other places and reviews when it comes to booking next year. For the price we paid, it was not worth it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice but outdated"
while the facilities are great and the location is excellent, the rooms seemed out dated. The fact that if you don't stay at least 3 days, you do not receive housekeeping for clean towels or anything (which isn't great considering in a party of 5 or 6 where you may be on the mountain both days, there aren't even enough towels for everyone to shower […] once). Also you are virtually responsible for cleanings everything to avoid fees. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect for Killington"
Great hotel in a great location!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Located at the base of Killington, a short shuttle bus gets you to the lifts in under 5 minutes. The property is comfortable with full kitchens, wood fireplace and multiple bedroom options. The unit we stayed in was worn/ loved. This didn't bother us terribly, however, there is a water issue with lack of pressure in the mornings. We reported to the […] desk and they tried to have maintenance fix as it is supposed to be independent water supply per unit. It never quite got fixed and we showered in the spa area most days. If you are bringing your own food, don't forget things like foil, saran wrap and cleaning products. Again unit was okay could be beautiful but very 70's. The spa area is very nice, highly recommended to take advantage of massage after day on the slopes. Restaurant is basic but service was great and wait staff very friendly. The spa had a problem. The woman that did facials could not make it to the hotel. The massage therapist was fine. The room I had needed to be redone. There was a hole in linoleum in bathroom. Kitchen faucet was hard to turn on and off. It was old. I feel this place is not worth the money. The best part was the facilities in main building.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Enthusiasm of condo staff left a lot to be desired, the room was better than I expected based on the introduction. The room, although reasonably comfortable was well worn and tired, need a mark over. It is obvious that this unit is strictly a rental.. Details need tending to, coffee maker broken and dirty, water taps almost impossible to operate. Drain […] in. Shower plugged, wood for fireplace too damp to ignite, Having said all this, the maintenance people were superb when we we called and promptly repaired the issues we had. The location is very good with a shuttle dropping you at the door. The second closest complex to the base of snow shed.. Restaurants close by. The price was very competitive. All in all it was 3+ out of 5. Not full marks for decore, but I understand that if the truth be known, that is not unusual for the area. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great Location for a ski trip!"
01/21/15 Raltavesta Wakefield, Massachusetts
Was recommended to this place by my fiancé who used to do a ski share regularly at Killington. I read a lot of reviews on multiple sites before I made this reservation and I have to say there are a lot of haters out there! The staff at the front desk were welcoming a friendly at our arrival. We stayed in condo C-14 in building 3. The condo sleeps 8, has two full bathrooms, flat screen tv's in all of the bedrooms, and a 42" flat screen in the living room. The condo was adequately stocked with everything you would need and it was CLEAN! Went to Killington for my bachelor party and this place was perfect for 8 men, and I'd go as far to say that it would be great for any small group looking for similar accommodations for a ski trip. No, it is not the Ritz, but are you really going to Killington to spend a ton of time in your room? I don't think so! You are right across the street from the Snowshed and Ramshead chairlifts and there is a shuttle that you can catch if you don't want to walk. You can't get much closer for the money! Would definitely recommend this place to friends and look forward to staying here on my next trip to Killington!
"great family ski place"

spent MLK weekend at Mountain Green resort and skied Killington. It was great! There were 6 of us - we had the 3 bedroom 2 bath unit in the main building. Kitchen, living room, tvs in every room, 2 full bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. In the same building was the pool, hot tub, steam room, gym, shops, convenience store that also has food, and wifi. Enough room for everyone and plenty more if others wanted to join. Walking distance to the Snowshed lodge but a shuttle is there in case others do not want to walk. Would definitely want to stay here again.
"Average at best"

I love the location of Mountain Green. We have now stayed there twice and I haven't been really happy either time. Since units are owned individually, you really don't know what you're going to get and both times, we didn't get anything other than good location. This time in particular, the kitchen area was quite dirty and I felt the need to pre-wash everything before we used it. Didn't want to walk barefoot on the carpet. Bed was not comfortable after a long day of skiing and common areas need updated. Best thing other than the location is the staff - everyone there was super friendly and helpful. Just looking for a little more comfort than we got once off the slopes.
"Great place to stay for a skiing trip"

Spent a week in Killington at the Mountain Green Ski & Golf Resort one week prior to Christmas 2014 and had a great time. The location is excellent. It is right across the street from the ski slopes and there is a shuttle bus that runs about every 5-10 minutes. The room we stayed in was a little outdated, but it was big, clean and had a functioning fireplace. When we go skiing, we spend the majority of the time on the slopes so the room was good for us. If you are the type of person that needs a more modern, up-to-date room, I would suggest contacting the resort and requesting a condo that is updated. The on-site restaurant was very good and there was an underground parking facility that really came in handy when it snow pretty hard. The pool and spa area in this resort were excellent! It is a great place to relax after a long day of skiing. They also have a racquetball court that doubles as a basketball court and a weight room. Black Dog ski shop was located on-site and they are excellent!!! I highly recommend renting your skis from these guys. I found the hotel personnel to be very friendly and they even contacted me after I left my keys at the hotel following my departure. Overall, a very good place to stay in Killington and I would definitely return on my next trip there.
"Location, Location, Location!"

You can't beat this location and the amenities. We've stayed here multiple times and it really is a bargain for what you get. Some rooms are nicely updated, and most importantly, you can park your car and don't have to move it during your entire stay. The on-site restaurant is really great and welcomes families as well as the party crowd. The food is very good too! There is also a little deli/take-out place in the main building that offers convenience items like wine, chocolate, bread, etc. Our family loves the large, indoor Olympic size pool, sauna, steam room and 2 hot tubs, and we've used their massage services as well (which by the way were amazing and we are very picky!). The ski shuttle comes around the buildings every 10 minutes so your crowd can hit the slopes as they please and then come back as they please. If staying in, the rooms all have kitchens and enough room for everyone. I recommend.

I can't complain about the place. Had the most reasonable prices in the area. Room was clean for the most part and roomy. Had alot of on site activity. Skiing was amazing like always. Beds were the biggest complaint. Matresses were hard and after skiing that is key. Fireplace was am awesome touch but the wood wasn't the best and didn't want to stay lit.
"Condo 2A3 was perfect for our family"
10/30/14 Paul H New York City, New York
My wife has been trying to get me to go to Vermont for the fall foliage season for several years now. This year I decided to give in and go there with my family which included our three children. After reading prior tripadvisor reviews recommending several condos at Mountain Green I took their advice and contacted owners directly instead of renting from a rental company. Since condo 2D2 was recommended I went to VRBO.com and found the listing and called the owner. He was a really nice person to talk to and provided me a lot of good information about the condos and the resort. Unfortunately it was already rented out for the days we wanted but the owner told me he owns several other condos that he assured me were just as nice. We looked at one of them which was 2A3 and it was also listed on VRBO as 333674. The pictures were great so we rented it. We arrived after midnight which was not a problem since there is a coded lock on the door that allowed us to enter without picking up a key from anywhere. The pictures were spot on and the condo was very clean and comfortable. The condo also came with a stocked kitchen cabinet that had coffee, tea, canned goods, food, hot chocolate and snacks. The owner told us that we were welcome to use anything we find in the cabinet. My kids immediately hit the hot chocolate. The only complaint that I had was the same as other guests who went to the front desk in the main building to ask questions. I was trying to find out how often the shuttle bus came by to pick up out front. The person at the desk asked me which condo I was staying in and after finding out their rental company did not rent it to me rudely said to call the owner I rented from. I realize the front desk issue is not the fault of the condo owner and recommend anyone who rents at Mountain Green to just stay away from them and rent from an owner instead. The condo however was perfect and clean. I will gladly come back again and recommend it to others.

We stayed at the Mountain Green Resort for a weekend and greatly enjoyed our condominium. The views were beautiful. Since it's the off season the resort was largely empty and we had no trouble finding the correct building or our condo. I did a lot of looking around online before booking and was glad I did because our condo was very clean, very nicely decorated, had all the amenities of home. Not all of the condos are well cared for but ours certainly was. The owner and previous guests left lots of food/coffee/cooking spices/etc.behind for the next guests. I made several meals and found all the appropriate pans, dishes, etc.. I did select this resort in part because of the indoor pool and spa and when I went looking for these facilities, I was told by the very rude desk clerk at the main desk that they were closed. I found that despite all the extras that are advertised, basically all we got was a nice condo with comfortable accommodations. I would go back but I would confirm that the pool / spa were open. Be sure to do your homework and look for units with owners who care about their condo.
"Fabulous Summer Vacation"
07/13/14 Katie R Farmington, Connecticut
I was introduced to the Mountain Green through a family member and had no expectations. I was pleasantly surprised. Most units are independently owned and apparently I was lucky to be in one that was owned by someone that understands their clientel. It was decently appointed, VERY clean, and quite comfortable. While most wouldnt choose to visit Killington in the summer we had a wonderful time relaxing, swimming in the heated pool, and hiking all over gorgeous Killington. My 9 year old said to me on the first night, "This place is different but it's a good different." He was quite comfortable staying here. The resort is pet friendly (for owners) so I expected a smell or annoying dogs barking but there was minimal noise and no smell. Laundry is on the lower level and yes the elevators are slow but when we werent carrying anything, it was the perfect reason to take the stairs. If you want a nice place to stay, please request Building 2, unit D02. You are welcome.
"A Pleasant Surprise"

My family and I just returned from a fantastic weekend at Killington, and we stayed at the Mountain Green. After reading some scathing reviews on Trip Advisor I was quite concerned, especially since we have two young children. Prior to our visit I called to confirm our reservation and the woman I spoke to was quite rude which set my wheels in motion worrying about what kind of condo we would get. Upon arrival we were greeted by Barbara who was very pleasant, and seemed genuinely concerned about my ‘maintenance’ worries. We had room E2 in building 2, which I have to say turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Sure the décor was quite dated (80’s flashback) and some things could be renovated (old TVs, calico wallpaper, very dated furniture), but overall the room was clean and it looked like the owners of the condo actually cared and used the unit. Because I was so paranoid about the room after reading other reviews I brought my own sheets and cleaning supplies (I am VERY particular about hotels), which made me feel much more comfortable. Everything was in working order and we were quite comfortable in the room. It was spacious and we had great views – the balcony looked out on the mountain (to the right) and the bedroom windows looked out on the golf course. The problem with the hotel as I see it, is that each unit is individually owned so you don’t know what you are going to get. Some people take care of the unit (like the unit we had) while others seem like they just let it run into the ground without any concern about others who may stay there. If it is possible to request rooms I would say that E2 in building 2 is a good choice, and it is really a shame that other people had such a negative experience in other units. As for the hotel itself, I think there is so much potential for it to be a fantastic place, but it appears that there isn’t enough maintenance staff to properly care for the rooms (general housekeeping) and common areas. I think we saw one person doing maintenance-ish work inside the hotel. If a hotel management company came in and upgraded the restaurant (we didn’t go in but it looked a bit sketchy), lobby and the shops (although the people working in Black Dog Sports seemed very nice) it would be much more of a destination. The pool area was recently upgraded – I hope that the management company continues along the path and realizes that this can be a really great hotel. I would also suggest setting standards for the rooms (which may be unrealistic) so that it is not so hit or miss. You can’t beat the location – literally 2 minutes from Ram’s Head and Snowshed and very close to the many restaurants and shops along the access road. Plus taking the complimentary bus from Killington to the hotel is super convenient, even with a 4 year old in tow. Luckily we had a very positive experience, but I do wish that we could make future reservations with confidence that we would get an equally well-maintained room for future ski trips.
