We had rooms on the second floor. The stairs were falling apart and the outside walkway you could feel it move while walking on it. All in all the place is pretty run down.

The service is good. The pools are awesome! The building is very old, which I happen to like, but in good shape for it's age. The town it is in is know for not being safe, but you are very safe and secure if you stay at the hotel.I will definitely return and recommend it to my friends!

The room was old, dingy, and had an odor that couldn't be placed. Our bed was slanted towards one side of the room, so it felt like we were going to roll off the bed all night. We were gone for most of the day on Saturday, and when we returned around 4 pm, there was extremely loud music playing at the pool area. We thought it was fun. We wanted to use […] the pool, so we went down, looking for pool towels. They don't have them. So when we got to our room? we called and asked gor more towels to be brought to our room, we were td "I'll see what I can do.". We never got more towels. When we got into our room, the music was loud from inside. We thought it would be turned off in the next few hours. How wrong we were. At 9:30 pm I finally called the front desk to complain, and the staff was very rude, and not helpful. She said the music would be turned off soon. I looked out the slider to the pool where the music was coming from, and there was no one out there. I waited 10 minutes, and then called the front desk again, and she was rude again. She said she would see if she could turn it down. At 9:45 pm, the volume was finally turned down, but we could still hear it inside our room, with the door closed. We were concerned after reading some negative Yelps after we booked and before we checked in. We were very pleasantly surprised after we got there. At least one negative Yelp issue seemed to have been totally invented; this problem did not exist. Plusses: large assortment of choices in the restaurant, which has outdoor tables with service by the palms […] and pools. This included an adequate selection of food my vegan husband could eat. This was not true of the more upscale hotel where our friends stayed, the Aqua Soleil, where the menu was very limited even for omnivores. There are 8 pools with different temperatures in each! They get vacuumed and cleaned every morning, with testing throughout the day. I had a wonderful deep tissue massage, which compared favorably in both quality and price to the one at Aqua Soleil. Cons: the hotel is in need of restoration/repair. The shower in our room screeched LOUDLY when used. Cigarette smoking is permitted by the pools, which get very crowded with "day" users, a few of whom stay until as late as midnight. Read more

Nice Pools. Very poor housekeeping. Garbage under the bed and clothes still in drawers. Left an empty food container just to see if they would throw it away when cleaning room and it was left on dresser. Children can make the bed better.

Very run down, needs updating bad. Good for about $40 per night, not $90+. If your looking to save money and want to sacrifice cleanliness and food quality then this just might be your place! The only plus side was bed confert, the bed was very nice, pool side lower level King.

Desk staff was very friendly. Pool staff kept the pools cleaning and considering the wind, they were busy. The hotel is older but the pools are great...all were warm or hot which was great. Enjoyed our stay, the drive out, and the palm trees. The only real complaint I had were the beds...very firm beds.

We were not happy with the staff, especially the front desk people. They were not friendly at all. Pool towels were never available. When we booked this hotel they said they would give us a lower level by the pool. But when we got there they said they had none available.

The hotel shows its age. They have done their best to hold it together, but did expect someone to pop up in bell bottoms. Towels were very thin. Pools were great. Great outdoor area. Inside the furniture shows its age and wear. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

My husband and I stayed a night here for our anniversary. I feel compelled to write a review as I came close to canceling my own reservation after reading reviews---I'm glad I didn't. The room was very clean and the hot springs were lovely. What you'll read about meeting characters is very true. There were locals who were regulars and lots of tourists […] from abroad. The hot springs were very clean (I've been to hot springs throughout Asia and Europe) although there was some dirt in the pools which is to be expected from hot springs. There was an employee that came around every hour or so checking the temperature of the pools and adjusting them accordingly. The town was small and somewhat desolate so we ended up going into Palm Springs for some nightlife. Keep in mind that we came during the off season. We're in our late twenties and found a night here was just about right; just enough of a retreat without getting bored. Would definitely recommend this hotel. The hotel needs to be updated. The iron gates surrouding the pool and rooms are rusting away. Everything was very old. The neighborhood is pretty bad and we were advised to park in front by the lobby, not in back by our room. Not a place to take the family or to go as a couple. Maybe okay for a day visit to the pools. I won't be going back.

The receptionist was very rude!!!! The hotel itself is very old, the blankets were like from the 70's and the towels were like the sandpaper! When we asked for extra towels for the pool, there weren't any. The shower was broken. If it wasn't for the hot springs, my vacation would be ruined! Worst experience ever!

Although the staff was great, the building itself was terrible. It was clean and everything basically worked but it was just plain noisy. You could hear footsteps outside and upstairs. The door did not have good seal and you could see light coming in all the way around it. I stuffed the bedspread in the gap at the bottom of the door which only helped […] minimally. It definitely needs to be upgraded, especially the shower heads. We stayed in two different rooms (after being moved because of how noisy the downstairs room was) and both shower heads needed to be seriously descaled or replaced. They were caked with calcium and mineral deposits so the water flow was, for lack of a better term, chunky. Also water temperature wasn't consistent, but just minor, slightly cooled then back up. The biggest complaint I have about this hotel was not the staff or the building, but the other guests. The first night there was a group in the pool area until about 3am being VERY loud, which inspired the request to change rooms, which they happily did. That noisy group left the following day but the place was still noisy, only until 11pm when the pool closed. THEY ALLOW RADIOS TO BE PLAYED IN THE POOL AREA...AND LOUD TOO! I feel sorry for those who were trying to enjoy a relaxing poolside massage or a yoga class. Ultimately, I would not stay here again or recommend. Read more

If you're expecting a brand new place, this isn't it. However, that being said, the staff does a wonderful job of really keeping it up. The olympic sized pool and all the smaller hot springs spas are really great! Everyone was extremely friendly, and the food in the restaurant was really good. I would highly recommend it!
