SensCity Hotel Albergo - Berlin

This is the second time I have stayed here this year. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Especially Janine!!! The location is a bit out of the center put charming nonetheless. I will definately stay there again when my travels bring me to Berlin

This is a very nice hotel that is conveniently located about 1 block from the U Bahn. The decorations and quality of the room was excellent. The cleanliness was good as well, however, they didn't clean my room after the first night, despite coming into the room and taking the tip! The desk clerk was apologetic but obviously couldn't do anything at that […] point. I thought at least they would offer me breakfast! Also, the front desk closes at 9AM and doesn't open until 6:30AM. Nice small hotel, very close to a U-bahn station. Very easy to get the attraction places. The room was clean and nice decorated, a little bit of traffic noise from the street below. The staff is nice but not all of them. The breakfast is very good and wealthy. Very recommended for small budget hotel.

It was the first time to me at Berlin. After spending hours with search of the best choice hotel, I found this, Albergo Hotel. The room price was the cheapest with free wifi access and breakfast. The hotel & the staff are very nice but the WiFi (WLAN) network is at the least not reliable whatsoever. So if like me, WiFi is an issue, I do not recommend. But the bedrooms are very nice and the small bar fridge, very convenient.

The hotel was odd, tiny, and horribly hot!!!!! The bed was small, strange and uncomfortable. The bedspread had many stains on it. The only way to survive the night was to have the windows open to the very busy street below. Needless to say it was a terrible sleepless night that I wouldn't wish on anyone!!!!!!!

I think that the hotel is beautiful. The rooms are lovely. The staff is very friendly. The only thing that I would say is a bit strange is that the cleaning staff never cleaned my room. However, they came in and out several times, without knocking and they would leave their cleaning supplies in the room or start to do things, like make the bed, and […] take off all of the covers and then just leave them on the floor. Very nice stay in the winter months. Rooms overlooking the main highway would be noisy in summer if the windows need to be opened to keep the room cool as the hotel does not have air conditioning. I stayed here for 4 nights in May 2011. The interior decoration of the hotel is certainly interesting, it did not quite meet my personal taste (a bit full on in red and gold), but the hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, the street is quite noisy and there is a bar on the ground floor of the hotel, where […] people were sitting outside until almost 1am on the first night of my stay, which I found rather annoying. (Although I have to admit that I am very sensitive to noise, maybe somebody else wouldn't have bothered at all). The tube station "Fehrbelliner Platz" is very close to the hotel and it all major sights can be reached pretty easily, although it takes a while to get to the trendy neighbourhoods (Prenzlauer Berg, Friedrichshain). Very friendly staff, great service, very good breakfast, room was spacious and clean with tiled floor (what an improvement to the usual carpet flooring), Location is great as very close to Underground with quick connections into Centre (5 mins journey time) and also airport (just 40 min to Schoenefeld). Perhaps they are in the premium rooms, but I booked mine at a low price and perhaps received one of the still nice, but not so luxurious rooms. The hotel locale is nice enough - not a bad neighbourhood at all - but it is a bit out of the way from major tourist sights. For instance, it is a good 20-30 minute walk to the Kudam from the hotel's front door, and another 10 minutes beyond that to the zoo and Tiergarten. However, if you are content to take public transit to get to spots of interest then the nearest u-bahn (i.e. subway or tube) station is only a 5 minute walk away from the hotel. If you are driving to the hotel, the nearest ring highway exit is only a few minutes drive from the hotel; and there is free street parking on the side street the hotel is on. In summary, we had an all around pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel. Read more

Wir waren zu zweit Für 3 Tage im Albergo. Anfahrt von Autobahn aus Super und es gab auch kostenlose, Öffentliche Parkplätze vor der Haustür. Check in und Rezeption super und sehr nett. Zimmer haben eine angemessene Größe und ihren eben ganz eigenen Stil, da das ganze Hotel im Barock-Stil gehalten ist. Wir fanden das ja klasse, kann natürlich Geschmacksache […] sein ;) Bad auch ok, eben wenige Steckdosen vorhanden wie schon öfter hier geschrieben. Und Keine Klimaanlage, also obwohl draußen nur 20 Grad oder so waren, war es in den Zimmern schon recht warm. Fenster aufmachen eben, aber da die meisten Zimmer direkt an der Hauptstraße liegen, sehr laut. Hat uns jetzt aber nicht gestört, man ist ja schließlich in Berlin und nicht auf dem Dorf ;) Frühstück sehr gut mit viel Müsliauswahl, Joghurt, Milch, versch. Brötchen, Wurst und Käse, Obst und Rührei mit Speck und Würstchen... Unterschiedlicher Kaffee/Tee/Kakao aus dem Automaten vorhanden :) Alles in allem ein schöner Aufenthalt. Danke. Rent allmänt gällde för mitt hotellrum här som för många andra hotellrum jag bott på att det saknades riktigt bra läslampor vid sängen och även vid skrivbordet. Ofta vill man på rummet kunna läsa information som man får på orten och kanske även skriva ner saker som man vill se och uppleva på ort och ställe och sedan dokumentera på kvällen.
