Great Wolf Lodge Pocono Mountains, PA - Scotrun

The lodge lost power on Saturday. Did not compensate us after telling us we could continue to use the facility. We arrived late on Friday may.24 due to traffic problems on the turnpike. So the family really looked forward yo Saturday. Then the power outage hit. Lodge was unsure of length of time so we left disappointed.

We stayed in the Great Wolf one night. The hotel itself and the water park are Ok, except the check in time is 4pm instead of 3pm, and check out is 11:00am the next day which doesn't allow enough time to play. We had three hours in the park, quite expensive stay($700) for such a short time. The park was way too crowded during spring break.

Great for kids, but you don't want to stay too long. The food is terrible, but that is not why you go there. It the water park and spending time with you family. Just be warned it is kid central.

I was very surprised with the place. I have to say, they did a very nice job keeping to the theme of the hotel. Even though the hotel was big (especially down the hallways of where the guest room where), the main area was small so you where able to keep an eye on the kids while doing their Kids Quest which was a lot of fun. Our family had a blast at the Great Wolf Lodge. Room was huge, clean and in perfect condition. The kids (and the kid inside this adult) were having a blast for hours. Great place for a short family getaway. Because they limit the park for guests only, the lines for the rides are never too long.

Stayed in the family suite which is spacious. The pull out couch was not very comfortable. Should be a clothesline in the bathroom to hang up the wet suits and with the way the room is set up it would be better to have two televisions. There is a nice sized refrigerator. My wife and I took our kids there for a weekend mini vacation. I have 2 boys ages 12 & 14. We went Saturday through Monday we all had a blast. The place is more geared towards children probably 5 yrs to 8 yrs. old. With the Magic games and mini bowling even half the water park is geared towards younger kids. But with that being said there are at least […] 5 adult water slides to go on, a huge arcade and plenty of places to eat and get snacks within the place. P.S. The in-house pizza is awesome!!! I was 1000 percent satisfied it went above and beyond what I could imagine. The place is way bigger than I thought and way more people than I thought would be there but it is big enough to accommodate everyone. I did not have to dodge, duck or dive everyone else's kids like I thought I would have to while we were there. Only recommendation is to get a room on the top 4th floor. You do hear everyone else's kids running wild at 6:30 in the a.m. above your head. That is my only complaint. The difference of not having to put up with rain, snow, 2 hours in line or hot sun burnt days of standing in line at other parks make this place worth it. I WILL go again. Read more

While the waterpark was amazing, the service and room quality were lackluster. There were flies in the room when we arrived. We had to call 3 times and waited an hour for extra towels. Everything was great as far as the room and the park.....our only complaint was that when we were ready to go to dinner, my friend called 3 different staff members and asked them about the dining situation and the buffet. We did not want the buffet and were told that you the choices were the buffet or you could order form the pizza place and sit wherever....we […] wound up leaving the resort and finding another place to eat because we wanted to be able to choose off of a menu. the building has a definite vibration with kids running arou nd day and night. I have stayed in many hotels with much better soundproofing between rooms and levels. we could not sleep at all the first night because kids upstairs jumping felt like the ceiling was caving in. the food places were very expensive and of similar quality.
