"Hotel Mundial Club"
Ok for the price. Staff very helpfull. Parking and location not that convenient. The hotel seems a throwback to the seventies and the interior is getting a little dated and tired.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Albergo vecchio, ben situato."
I booked at The Mundial Club Hotel with a little caution after reading various reviews on here. However I can safely say I am glad I followed through with the booking. The hotel was great and not too noisy as many people have been complaining about. Lloret in September had a healthy mix of young and older visitors and is a place for all ages. Aside from the clubbing strip the beach and surrounding areas are family friendly and simply beautiful. Staff went out of their way to accommodate any of our needs and to ensure we were happy throughout our stay. Our room was cleaned thoroughly on a daily basis and was a decent size with a sun terrace on the 6th floor. The decor is a little outdated but the same has to be said for the majority of the hotels and apartments withing Lloret. Breakfast was always ample and catered for everyone. The pool and pool bar are also a great addition. Contrary to much of the moaning on here the rooms are all air conditioned and also come with balconies. The pool is small but we spent more time on the beach which is a 5 minute walk rather than spending the days sat in the hotel. The lobby has free and reliable wifi and plenty of sofas for relaxing as well as a pool table and a tv room. I would definitely recommend this hotel and Lloret to people of all ages and don't let anyone's comments on here put you off booking!

Friendly and helpfull personnel, the restaurant was clear and had plenty of room. The room was clean and there was enough space to 'live'. Nice and quiet location. Busstop was a 5 min walk, breakfast buffet offered a lot of choice
"3* built for night life"

We just got back. Food was good, full English & continental for brekky, cold and hot buffet's @ lunch & dinner. Staff are super busy multi-taskers, so some can be a bit short with you. definitely 3*, could have done with a re-paint in our room. The pool was small but adequate for us. Nicely shaded in parts so you can sit and read or jump in and catch the sun. No air con in August in a noisy part of town wasn't good. Ear buds solved that problem so we could keep the balcony doors open to avoid suffocation and sleep deprivation! It's close to all the bars, neon glitz, clubs and super cheap eateries so if that's your thing you'll love it. At night, one side of the main street in town leading to the sea front is jammed with crowds of 18-30's. primarily Spanish, German and French. Hardly any Brits. Best parts we found for eating out and exploring are near the sea front and side streets off it. Check out Orient Express if you want a friendly Brit face and good food. They also speak 5 other languages I think.
"Hotel nice! Shame about Lloret de Mar"
For a 3 star spanish hotel the Mundial club hotel is not bad at all. The rooms are small but clean and nicely decorated, there is no option for aircondioning, fridge or kettle for your stay but they are perfectly nice. The restaurant breakfast was standard and fine, the staff friendly and helpful. The only real problem with the hotel is it is not really built for all inclusive so when a party of 40 german teenagers turned up on an all inclusive package they took over the whole hotel- bar, restaurant and all general social areas including the tiny pool all day which really impeeded on everyones stay. As for Lloret de Mar, as me and my mate said on leaving the best part had been we were so near to the bus station we could leave everyday day and visit the spanish costa brava! It is dirty, unbelievably loud and full of macdonalds, burger king and awful nightclubs and bars..... if your looking for a clubbing and drinking holiday its the place to go but if your looking for some rest, relaxation and culture it is most definitely NOT. Lloret is a drunken mess from dusk till dawn and not our cup of tea for a girly holiday! Been kept awake every night but roudy loud drunk teenagers is just draining both inside the hotel and the roudy amusement park right over the road........

Have come back from Lloret this morning after staying at the mundial hotel, this was our second stay at this hotel, but oh dear how noisy is it. Surrounded by 3 roads that are used as a rat run, a child's funfair right outside your balcony, and so many youngsters using the road to get to and from the night clubs it is not the ideal place to stay if you want a quite time. The hotel lets itself down by not having air con and as its so noisy you cannot keep balcony door open, it also does not have ironing facillities which I found a bit odd, so ended up buying a travel iron. Apart from me, my husband and mum there was no other English.Would I go back to lloret No, would I stay at this hotel again, No.

This hotel is basic, but clean. Location is good - close to centre of town, but far enough away not to be too noisy. The one issue I did have was the food. Not a great variety and it could be hotter, but this is due to the fact that all plates are cold. The staff however are friendly and helpful. The hotel is also very close to the bus station which was very handy. Overall, not bad for he money, but have stayed in better.

A standard 3* Spanish hotel. Not really a stay by the pool holiday, pool small but pleasant. Very good for the bus station and local travel to the excellent beaches/coves and trips to Barcelona and Gerona. Hotel food catered for all nationalities and average food choices. Entertainment at night in the sister hotel(4* Astoria) but not very uplifting. The reps did not accompany to your drop off point about 150 meters from the hotel down a main road and short walk down side road (did not see or hear from them during holiday (staff did they job excellently). Meet by reception who showed us to the dinning area where cold food had been laid out for us at 1030pm arrival. Room not huge but some bigger than others and manager will deal with any issues like being on the noisy side of hotel. Very clean throughout hotel and staff very good. Room cleaned daily. Bed very firm. Lorrett is a night club area so do expect noise with youngsters going home early mornings. We took a kettle and a fan, could keep the double glazing shut if required. Mainly Europeans in late Sept. Nice strolling early evening after dinner. We expected the worst from Aug reviews but enjoyed our holiday with the other guests mainly 35-55 age group. Large Mercodona supermarket back across main road for all essentials. If you want fancy pay for 4* or more if you like clean and adequate this should be ok. A different beach every day was are goal (done) use the local buses (cheap) or beach ferries (10 euros e/w)

Great hotel. I am just back from Mundial Club Hotel. The stuff is very friendly and professional. Delicious food, great location 10 minutes to the beach, 3 minutes to the center, close to the bus station. The rooms are very clean and comfortable.Me and my daughter enjoyed our holiday in this hotel and we will recommend it for the money.
"Horrible Couple Vacation"

The room is similar to a jail cell, we spent the entire time sweaty and sticky. It seemed that the temperature in our room was always muggy and miserable. The beds are uncomfortable, the food is average I would not pay good money for it. The workers are friendly and nice but that does not make up for the glaring atrocities of this horrible hotel. No A/C, the other patrons are rude, loud and just as smelly and sweaty, which may relate to the rudeness. The area is horrible and extremely loud and obnoxious. Overall, if I knew what I was getting into when I booked this trip I would not have bothered because my experience at this hotel sucked, and if I ever come back to Spain you will never catch me anywhere close to this area.
