Cordova Reef Village Resort - Cordova

I would recommend the resort for relaxing and staying put. The individual villas are cute , clean and comfortable. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained.The beaches are not the white sand most people look for. There is no snorkeling attractions nor other water based activities or visual site seeing highlights. Trips to other islands […] are the best option for snorkeling. In that area, the Cordova Reef Resort is the best option. But I would not go to that area of Lapu Lapu again knowing the visual beauty is not to be found. Let me start by saying this property is beautiful. But when my fiancee and I arrived the room was hot, no hot water after our third request we got hot water. The restaurant is not air conditioned and is open air, flies and bugs to deal with when eating. Got sick from a hamburger I ate in the restaurant and service is very slow. Had to look for our waiter/waitress […] to ask for anything we needed. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Drinks are expensive and small. You really have no other options for eating or drinking unless you want to take a taxi ride for 25 minutes. Read more

Where do I start? (1) the free form swimming pool and was kept clean, but it was rather shallow; (2) the WI-FI internet was slow and had frequent outages. The only had one access point on the entire property whereas they need about 10 access points to cover that much acreage. The hot water was turned of one morning. They really need on-demand heaters inside each unit; (4) The water that came out of every faucet was brown. They really need a secondary water treatment system with filtering and ultraviolet purification. The only pure water provided are 350 ml bottles in the mini-bar; (5) The air conditionnig unit was not powerful enough to maintain a comfortable environment; (6) The room furnishings lacked any drawers. Instead they gave us one wicker basket in the closet; (7) The bathtub was sized for a small asian person, but all I could use it for was washing clothes; (8) The cabin doors need a good peep hole; (9) Provided bathroom items had extremely small labels that were impossible to read; (10) The location was on the far corner of the island and taxi drivers usually wanted a surcharge to go there; (11) Motorized traffic is restricted on the road to the resort, although the police let conventional taxi cabs through; Transportation at the resort gate house is three wheel pedal cars for the first half mile then motorized tricycles thereafter; (12) The complimentary breakfast menu only had three options and the scrambled eggs that I got one day were rancid; (13) The so called beach was about half complete and I never saw anybody use it; (14) DID NOT HAVE IN-ROOM SAFES and the resort was in a neighborhood where I was inclined to lock up everything. - 막탄 번화가랑 너무 멀다. 주변에 택지 잡기도 어려워 주변에 마사지나 식사를 하려면 무조건 나가야 하는데 마리바고 리조트쪽에서 본 리조트로 오려면 150페소 안쪽으로 나온다. 미터기준 허나 반대로 나가려면 콜택시 불러야 하는데 그렇게 되면 택시기사랑 싸워야 한다 보통 미터요금에 50페소를 더 주는데 문제는 콜택시가 올때 지가 있던 곳에서 미터를 키고 오거나, 아니면 아예 켜지도 않고 가격흥정을 하려고 하는데 정말 짜증이 난다. 화가 나서 콜택시 취소를 하려고 하면 100페소를 줘야 한다. 헐~ - 뜨거운물은 물틀고 30분이 지나야 나온다. 말이 막힌다. - 욕실과 방사이에 문이 없다. ㅎㅎ 여친이랑 가면 참 민망하기 […] 짝이 없다. -단~~! 사람없이 정말 잠이나 실컷 자고 밥은 가져간 라면이나 끓여먹고 그럴거면 가라! 그렇다면 이만한대도 없을것 같다.
