this hotel is exactly what the description says. it is definitly a family hotel. it is a home away from home. it has some maintenace issues but it seems they are trying to renovate as quickly as possible. very friendly and helpful staff. it was affordable and comfortable. i would stay here again.

It was quiet. The room was clean. The decorating is very old; the couches are shot and dirty, as is the carpet. The bed is new and firm. The kitchen had a water leak, and only one eye on the stove worked. I think they are working on the hotel, but just haven't gotten through yet. But some basic maintenance would prevent more maintenance in the future. […] The front door to the beach was rotten. It could easily be fixed, and ruined the appearance of the living room. The hotel was in a very nice location and for the price was tolerable. When we first walked in there was an overpowering smell. Once we bought some candles and cooked dinner it went away and our stay was very pleasant. The hotel is very old and the air conditioner did not work very well. It's just an average Daytona area hotel. Run down and rusty. Nothing special. They do appear to try to keep the paint fresh and the pool area is clean. No heat in room but that's OK since you can just turn on the stove burners & oven and the A/C fan. Small outdated TVs and no phone - also not a big deal except that they gouge you on pricing during event […] weeks. Paid over $500 for two days during bikeweek. Hotel is older 5 story building with need for carpet cleaning, new mattress, new sofas/chairs in living area, new TVs, better lighing in rooms, Internet service above 2nd floor. We got a lovely beachfront 1-bedroom condo for half the regular price. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating, and the location was perfect. Was a great location...close to so many wonderful restaurants and venues. Only complaint, they did not have the A/C on while we were there and my husband and I both like it cooler when we sleep. It finally came on our last night there and yet we had to leave at 3 am. :(

The air conditioner was broken (wouldn't shut off) and I was forced to sleep on the fold out couch to feel the air. There really isn't a maid service, only towel replacement but I was there for the NASCAR Daytona 500 weekend, and I'm used to camping out for races, so it was fine for the time that I spent there. I loved the hotel it was right in the beach loved that you can just step out in walking distance was clean when we got there it was late but still got to get our hotel was fast and easy they had pots and pans in the room and it was nice because we didn't think they would it was nice like i said. ill be back soon!

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, the entire inside of the building and the room we stayed in need a complete refurbishment. It looked like nothing except the refrigerator had been replaced since the 1960's. The rug was stained. The blinds on the three large patio windows overlooking the beach wouldn't close. The place was filthy. […] On the plus side, the location was excellent, the fellow guests were pleasant and we saw no bugs in the room. Cigarette smoke kept wafting into our non-smoking room from other patios. So much for fresh ocean air. The price was very reasonable, but as they say-you get what you pay for. I would consider staying here again due to the reasonable price, but having seen it already, at least I won't be disappointed again. The sign out front says the place has the cheapest rates. We loved this place-kept extending our stay. Our first room was a River View room and was so roomy. We then moved to a bit smaller Ocean Front room and that was wonderful as well. This place was very clean and loved being on the Ocean. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more accommodating. This hotel may have gotten a 3 star rating if there had actually been someone in the office. Instead, at 11 pm, the door was locked and there was a sign that said "Will return at 8 am." When you own a hotel, it is unacceptable to not have someone at the front desk. We had to call the number on the door. They didn't even check us in. They just handed […] us some keys and told us to check in in the morning. The room itself was actually very cute. A little outdated, but clean. This hotel was ok. The staff was very nice. They really need to have the office open more hours. The hotel was old but was ok. They really need to upgrade a lot of the things in the room. The stove didn't heat evenly and the dishwasher door was broken. But it was ok for the price I paid.

Renovations are in progress. Our room, however, had not been processed yet! The bed was very uncomfortable (old matresses in the parking lot indicated that new matresses were purchased). Absolutely adorable! My family of 3 stayed here for a few days during Christmas week and were completely charmed by this quaint little boutique condo style motel. Our beachfront unit had a fabulous view that included the Crabby Joe's Restaurant pier...just beautiful at night. Now make no mistake, the property is overdue for renovation and redecoration […] but it is kept very clean. Service is excellent and friendly. I loved this place, even though it was badly in need of updating, with a saggy bed and hard pillows. And teensy tiny ants in the bathroom. The wow factor is in the ocean view and the low cost. The decor was bright and colorful, with lots of hand-painted designs. The kitchenette was clean, with refrig/freezer, stove-top, microwave, sink, small coffee-maker […] and dishwasher. The suite was petite, but perfect for two, with a pleasant balcony overlooking the beach and the Crabby Joe pier. It was quiet except for the roar of the surf. The bedroom was toward the center of the building, with no windows. There appeared to be only one guy on staff, who was nice but very busy and rarely at the front desk. This is an amazing hotel! The customer service is a 10+, I never waited longer than 7 mins. for anything I called for. The hotel is right on the beach, with the most incredible views of the ocean, and their pool is very nice and everything is very well keep up, grounds, deck area, ect. I just cannot say […] enough about the staff at Beach Quarters, so friendly and accommodating, they all went above and beyond to make my stay PERFECT!. Do not miss this place if you are heading to Daytona. Its very close to everything, and if you do not want to walk or drive they are right on the bus route. Only thing neg. The hotel room met and exceeded my expectations. The kitchen was in good condition and contained everything we needed to cook meals in the room. The view of the ocean was superb. My wife loved watching the pelicans and dolphins.
