"Great place, but beware no late check-in"
Very quiet, family friendly, naturally beautiful no frills Caribbean getaway. Also suitable for business, but beware no late check in. More of an "extended stay" type of place, so check-in limited to normal daytime hours. Call ahead to make check-in arrangements if arriving late.

The stay was very nice and the places are right on the water! The only thing that I considered poor was the quality of the matresses on the beds.

We had a wonderful stay at Pelican Beach Villa. The location is tucked away with a private beach and personal views of paradise! The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the unit very much like home. The grocery store and restaurants were just a quick taxi ride. But, with the BBQ grill provided, we had more time and money to enjoy other activities. […] Mermaid Reef was right down the street!! Our visit was after Hurricane Irene paid a visit, so the owner and staff was there to ensure our stay exceeded our expectations---And it did. We are already planning our next trip back to paradise! "Location is an Asset and a Problem"
This hotel is really a collection of freestanding cottage all attractively painted in Bahamian pastels. Each has a deck and an ocean or mangrove view. It is next to the very best snorkeling experience in 7 days all around in the Abacos. (Mermaid Reef) It was a holiday when we arrived, and there was a note on the door saying "the door is open." We never […] saw a manager. The electricity went out (happens often island wide) so we borrowed candles from another guest. Otherwise, the TV was great, but it wasn't listed as an amenity in the hotel.com review. It is a full half-hour walk into Marsh Harbor Marina where there are several restaurants. We were surprised by the high prices. There is only one restaurant nearby, but it is open only certain days and certain meals. The hotel room has a small equiped kitchen with microwave. Read more
