About the rooms: I booked a family room which turned out to be a mistake -these don't have much sea view ("partial sea view" -practically that means that if you lean out of your balcony, you can catch some small sea view), though a bit bigger and have an extra bed. With the help of the front desk manager, this was sorted out. I can only praise Mr. Aaron […] Vella -he truly understands what customers need when they are on a holiday in a 5 star hotel. About the family facilities: since my daughter is only 1 1/2 years old I did not expect much from the family facilities but I was pleasantly surprised. The playground (tiny daycare) is next to the pools but hidden enough so that the kids cannot see the bar etc -nice thouch. Though officially they take full time only 4 years olds and up, they are always very flexible and professional. If there aren't too many kids they have to run after, they will help you out with the younger ones too. Also, right next is the tiny "pool" for really small kids (which has maybe 10cm of water, so the youngest ones can also participate). About the restaurants and bars: high quality, very good food, nice personal service, but can be a bit slow sometimes. There's another restaurant further away in the hotel gardens with even better view (you can see the end of the bay). In comparison to the twon/tourist areas the bar and restaurants were really pricy for to be honest pretty normal food and drink. This is a really nice hotel. My girlfriend and me were staying for a 5 day holiday. It's got some nice pools to hang around and although there is no private beach there is a jetty so you can swim. Only 5 mins walk from st julians centre, we're there is a very basic beach. If you want a proper golden sand beach it's a 30 min drive in golden bay.

The staff at this hotel were very helpful and welcoming. The communal areas of this hotel are well presented and spacious. There was a good range of restaurants and the pool area and lido were well presented (although the sunbeds at the lido could have done with a wipe down - they had crumbs of food on the cushions which had been there some time). When we arrived we asked the reception desk when our room would be ready. They shrugged and said they'd call us as soon as it was ready but that they couldn't guarantee before 3pm. At 2.30pm we went back to see if the room was ready and it was. But we never received the promised phone call. Whilst the food in the restuarant (Le Bistro) is good, the […] restaurant is let down by the poor service. On our first visit it took 3 requests for the waiter to bring our drinks. Our water and wine eventually arrived half way through the first course. On our second (and last) visit, we had to ask for the bill twice as 20 minutes after our first request we still hadn't received it. Another point to note is that there are 2 prices for mineral water - local water and foreign water. We didn't realise this. All holiday we had been ordering "mineral water" and it was only later we discovered the hotel automatically gave, and billed, us for the more expensive foreign water without pointing out any alternative to us. Only failure was the breakfast buffet. It's a very large dining area, called the Kontiki. However there was only one person doing the fresh eggs, so there was a queue of never less than 5 people, and often over 15, waiting for service. Not good enough for a 5 star hotel. A good quality hotel, very friendly and helpfull staff. Breakfast excellent, and Sunday buffet lunch fantastic. Restaurants and bars can be a little on the expensive side. Nice outdoor pools and lovely smaller pools set away from the main building offering a more quiet/secluded area to relax in the sun. Good indoor pool popular with families/children […] and good gym. 4 night family break with our 3 year old. Thought the friendliness of the staff was excellent but the hotel is a bit dated and, in my opinion, not really a 5 star. Seems it is only that to keep the prices high and compare with the rest of the older hotels in the area. After a spa day and 6 treatments between our whole family, we can say it was the best element of the hotel. The staff are very helpful and the breakfast was amazing. Dinner in the bistro (24h restaurant!) was superb. The room was ok. Could feel every spring in the bed. Excellent hotel overall and the food and staff were great. Location a bit off the beaten track so need a taxi or else a 15 min walk to St Julian's. Carpets in the corridors could do with replacing but otherwise hotels was in good condition.

Overall our experience of the Radisson Blu was positive. However, the bed was the most uncomfortable bed we have experienced in a hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are not five star quality, based on other five star hotels we have stayed at. Queries and requests were not dealt with. While the food in the hotel, both for the breakfast buffet and in Le Bistro […] restaurant are of a very high standard, the bar staff do not know their cocktail list or how to prepare cocktails. Expect to wait a long time to receive your drinks once ordered, too. The hotel location is perfect and just a short walk from all other amenities. This is a nice hotel, with very friendly staff, and good facilities. Our room was very big, with nice sea views and quite, since it didn't look to the bar terrace, where some nights there was too much noise. Restaurants are also good, but overpriced, as usual in these kind of hotels, specially water in the room, since the tap water tastes horribly, […] although it is supposed to be potable. Prepare to be impressed by charming Maltese staff. This Radisson is at the far end of a promontory but the trek up there (walking to/from Paceville/St Julians) is justified as its quieter and more pleasing to the eye than all the other hotels on that side of Paceville. Its 10 mins away from an amazing diving centre (Divewise, in the much more expensive […] Westin) .The rooms are very large if a bit dated and the grout in the bathrooms could benefit from a little TLC. This Radisson is labelled a 'resort' and it does justice to its name. The gym is quite large for any hotel and the breakfast is truly large, if you have the appetite for that sort of meal. As a single adult I'd make this offering compete with the more centrally located (and newer) Hotel George, but if you have children you will definitively prefer the Radisson. Read more

We are a family of four (two adults and two teenagers). We enjoyed our stay at the Radisson overall but feel that the rooms could have been better. The king size bed was two single beds pushed together and the mattresses were orthopaedic and not very comfortable for those of us not suffering with a bad back. Stayed at Raddison Blu in Aug with my husband and two children. Family room very spacious. Beds okay however bathroom very old and desperately needs modernising in order to give it its 5 star rating. Bistro and Edge served good food. Kontiki however not so good. We had dinner there one evening and it was a barbeque theme. I'm an average cook and bbqs […] arnt exactly rocket science but my food is amazing compared to the bbq at Kontiki. The salads were good but the quality and taste of the meats and fish on offer were terrible. The best thing I ate at the bbq was the jacket potato!!! Hotel itself kept well and service good. Pool area not very clean but my kids enjoyed the cleaner inside of the pool. The drains where the sunbeds are smelt of sick and there was rubbish and hair around them!! Town of St Julians a 5-10min walk not bad. Shame there isnt more of a beach area. Kids club pretty pointless nothing much going on however we had a superb babysitter at night even though it was very expensive!!! Mini bar dont touch unless you want an overpriced coke. Food in 'The Edge' restaurant and the Bistro was very good indeed! Good selection and some amazing steak and seafood. The hotel offers nightly BBQ/themed dinners of which we went to one, it was ok but a little pricy for what you got. Cocktails in The Bridge Bar were good! Pool area clean, comfortable and weather amazing. Pool bar staff need to smile more as do staff who serve on the terrace in the Bridge bar. We were disappointed with our stay at the Radisson. Hotel rooms were not cleaned satisfactorily. The bed didn't even look made. It just didn't measure up to another 5 star hotel we had stayed at in Malta. We agreed we wouldn't be returning to the Radisson. The location is very good though.

Moderne structure with a very nice gym area, interior pool and Jacuzzi + outside pool. Placed just in front of the seaside, my room offered a nice view. Very large choice at breakfast, in a large and confortable salon with windows to the sea. I was there in December so I cannot say about access to the beach and services provided by the hotel.

Wij reizen bovengemiddeld veel en weten waar we het over hebben als we zeggen dat het personeel van dit hotel zonder uitzondering super is. Het hotel zelf is aan een stevige opknap beurt toe. Omgeving zwembaden zijn de vloeren afgebladerd en de beplanting verwaarloosd. Hotelkamers zelf zijn ook verouderd dit valt het meest op in de badkamer. Dette er simpelthen et skønt hotel! Hotellet ligger på sin egen lille tange med direkte adgang til havet fra klippen, samt to forskellige store pool områder. Pga at hotellet ligger som det gør, ligger det også i rolige omgivelser uden larm, men stadig i gå afstand til butikker og restauranter. Ca 7 min gang fra Paceville (stedet med barer og Bay Street […] butikscenter) og ca 15 min gang til St. Julians (bugten med alle restauranterne.) Personligt synes vi, at det var skønt at bo lidt væk fra trafik, larm og mange mennesker. Det var dejligt at komme ud og se og opleve, men det var bestemt lige så dejligt at komme tilbage i "Radisson paradiset" hvor der var helt ro og med skøn udsigt. Selve hotellet er dejligt og stort. Stor dejlig morgenmadsbuffet og flere forskellige restauranter med lækker mad!!! Poolområderne er fantastiske, specielt det område som ligger tættest på havet, der er pools i to etager, med en lille rutchebane imellem. Der var mange mange liggestole og intet problem at få én, selvom hotellet var godt besøgt da vi var der. Personalet er søde og meget hjælpsomme. Værelserne er store og rene med en DEJLIG seng og nogle fantastiske store bløde puder. Bestemt et hotel vi vil anbefale og helt sikkert et hotel vi ville brugee igen, hvis vi skulle tilbage til Malta :-) Read more

Hotellet har en del udenomsplads og der er nok af solvogne og parasoller. Gode valgmuligheder for alle mht valg af pool eller havbad. Hotellet ligger et stykke fra "byen", men det er til gengæld uden anden form for støj end bølgerne.

Maden i hotellets forskellige restauranter var super. Håndklæde service til pool og strand, betød rene håndklæder hver dag uden overvægt med Ryanair. Centralt beliggende i forhold til at komme rundt på øen. Snorklemulighed i middelhavet direkte fra hotellets badestige. kort gå-afstand til St. Julians, hvor der både er strand, gode spisesteder og store […] shoppemuligheder.
