"Great value for money"
The apartment we booked was a two bedroom that would accommodate six people. One bedroom with a double bed, the second with bunk beds and the living area had a sofa that converted to a cabin bed with a roll out from beneath. The living area was open plan with kitchenette, dining and living area. Although the apartment was a reasonable size with plenty of storage throughout, the furniture is the typical alpine interior of wood that is often found and over the course of the week was lacking comfort, especially the wooden sofa/cabin bed and dining area. We did long for some soft furnishings to sink into. As comment by others, the pillows could be better and the double bed mattress could be renewed as this sank very badly in the middle. The complex is a short walk to the centre of town, there is a great Irish bar, Coveys just 5 minutes away which serve amazing home made burgers. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to the express gondola or alternatively there is a free ski bus that picks up outside the complex and runs every 15 minutes. There is a bakery delivery every morning, orders are taken the evening before. The staff were very helpful and we thought we would miss the 8pm check in but they gave great instructions on what to do on arrival and that the keys and paperwork could be collected from a safe found at the reception door. The check out process involves an inspection and it is your responsibility to ensure the flat is cleaned. Vaccum cleaners are available.

"Great accommodation"
Our stay at Le Ferme was very good and we would go back again. The accommodation was bigger than I expected and it is well equipped. The beds were very comfortable though the pillows could have been better. There is a storage locker outside for ski's and car parking. The apartment was warm and cosy with plenty of hot water. We arrived during a heavy snow storm and outside there was plenty of snow for the children to have fun in outside in the grounds. The bus stops outside the entrance to the apartments so getting to the gondola is easy. The bus gets busy so we drove up to the top where the gondola stops instead of catching the bus. Our shower wasn't working properly and someone came to fix it within a hour or so of me reporting it! We also used the indoor pool which was a bit chilly for me but my children loved it. The check out was easy. We cleaned the apartment (there is a broom and mop in the apartment to clean the floors) and it didn't take long to clean it. It was a lovely stay and we really enjoyed it.

"Great stay"
I loved it, it was great , i have started booking another holiday with family. The people and the staff is great . The swimming pool and sauna is a bit of a problem as you have to pay for the use of it and it closes at 7.30pm-8.00pm. That was i minor problem . I loved it and will stay there again .i would suggest more English Tv channels .

"Perfect location near town and slopes"
The apartment was very warm, with clean bedding and towels provided. No kettle or toaster was available. I would recommend you take your own pillows. The ones provided are very lumpy and very uncomfortable. We have stayed here for the last two years, and would stay again due to its location and convenience to the town and the slopes with a bus which runs every 10 minutes from the hotel.

"Spring week in Grand Massif"
Nice and spacious 3-storey chalet, was good fit for our group (8 people). 4 bedrooms, 2 toilets, livingroom & kitchen. Also nice balcony in 2nd floor and patio in first floor (was used a lot due to excellent Spring weather). Nice staff and common facilities (room with games, small pool and sauna). The chalets were not in perfect condition anymore despite being rather new...

"Booked for net year!"
04/14/15 ronandkristin Oban, United Kingdom
Stayed here for two weeks in March and we loved it, so much so I have booked up for new years week next winter. The apartment was clean and comfortable and had everything you could need. We weren't going to eat in much but did in the end because it was so well equipped, much better than most of the French apartments we have been to in the past. I understand all apartments are identical, but one thing we loved about ours was that it was on the corner with a huge wrap around balcony, and we were able to sit out in the sun,, in march! The beds were comfortable and linen is supplied, we loved the duvets which is something we have never seen before in similar places. There were five of us and although the shower was super powerful (brilliant)we never once ran out of hot water, a huge plus! There is coin op laundry in the apartment building too which we found a great help, being there two weeks. The location of these apartments is really good, a 10 minute walk to the village ctr. The ski bus runs an awesome service right to the door of the reception building, very convenient. Staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful, and the one problem we had was fixed in 15 minutes. Samoens itself is a wonderful place to visit, It's so much nicer than many of the other places we have been, I think charming is the word. Great places to eat, but a good tip,, book your table! I really cant think of much negative to say other than be careful in the car park, the covered parking is really tight and I had a close one with the hire car. Skiing the Grand Massif was not new to us, but as ever we loved it. All in all for money paid we thought this place was great value.

We stayed here for a week at the end of March 2015. Pleasant clean appartment with lovely views towards the Grand Massif and a waterfall. Nice if you don't want the hassle of hotel restrictions. Great ski bus service. almost from your door to the lifts. You can pre order lovely bread and croissants. Teeny weeny swimming pool. OK if you are teeny weeny.

"Basic but good value"

Exceptionally good value for money if you don't mind basic living. No kettle or a toaster. No sink in the toilet for washing your hands. No luxury here. The swimming pool was a bit too small. It becomes really overcrowded if there is 10 kids in it. The staff were extremely helpful though, booking restaurants and helping us with local info. They were also great with the kids. I'll give them 10/10. I've spent a lot more £££s for less. If you're on a tight budget then look no further.

"Cracking Value!!"
03/23/15 BrammersLeeds Leeds
My 3rd time in the apartments, and still great value. We booked as a group of 4, and because we booked well in advance, it worked out about £140 each for the week. WHERE ELSE will you get a comfy, clean bed, linen and towels supplied, ample crockery and cutlery (although had to improvise an egg cup), TV, great heating and a boot/ski locker chucked in for that? The staff are very friendly, and there's a great system to buy fresh bread and delicious croissants every morning at good prices. The ski bus stops outside reception. There's a steam room/sauna and small pool for the kids if you need it. Check in and check out can get a bit busy, so here's a few tips: Check in either early PM or around 6pm onwards for no queues. Pre order your bread/treats for the week when you arrive For FREE wifi - go sit in reception When checking out you need to clean the apartment and leave it in good condition, and then the staff inspect it. If all the pots are clean and intact, and all bedding removed and used towels stacked neatly, it takes literally 1 minute to be inspected, so arrange a time the night before you leave and there's zero inconvenience, and you don't even need to drop the key's off as the inspector will take them. Great apartments, great staff.

"Not a lot of comfort have stayed in better for less so expected more!"

First ever review on TA but felt so let down with the description of this place, felt the need to give honest opinion. We booked a 3 bed duplex F8, which is for 8 people. Only being a family of 6 there should have been space to spare. There was not enough room. We are a family that likes to cook and maybe venture into town, not fussed for nightlife or anything exciting after a hard days skiing. 1) One sofa only which seats 3. The Rest of you have to sit on wooden benches for the evening, not ideal for a relaxing evening. 2) only one toilet so plenty of queuing on a morning and middle of night not ideal to have to sneak downstairs! Not ideal if you have guests sleeping on sofa bed as they will be disturbed! 3) kitchen was not practical for family cooking for 6 (never mind 8). No work surface for prep, only a sink and cooker top, no prep space. You therefore had to use dining room table, where rest of family are sat because not enough sofaseating! The oven was of small microwave size and therefore, our wholesome family evenings of home cooked food were non-existent. Massive fridge and full size dishwasher, but not the essentials of an oven. The microwave was a mini oven able to grill etc however it was high up on top of the fridge and just about ok for heating soup. No instructions how to use in the apartment. 4) Hot water tank only gave quick showers for 4 so if 8 stay half will need to shower am and half pm. Not ideal water runs cold with 4 out of six showered. Timed showers still didn't hit 6!! 5) pillows oh my lumpy is one word, lumpy bumpy all night long. 6) No wardrobe in two bedrooms, no drawers in bunk bed room, main room with balcony v small with v little room to walk down bottom of bed before hitting wall! 7) curtains were hanging down, cobwebs here and there, bath panel not fitted properly, skirting board just pushed on... Needs a little maintenance and thorough spring clean. Under beds had not been cleaned in a while! Positives - facilities outside the apartment were good, pool communal areas, ski bus stop and a ten min walk into town all perfect. The level of comfort and facilities in actual accommodation for what we paid is poor. I did think if staying with group of friends and out every night ideal. But not ideal for a large family for relaxing nights in.. Either awake or asleep!!

"Ideal family ski accommodation"

We have just returned from our second visit. The apartments are on the edge of the village but with a free bus service to the lift every 15 minutes this is no problem. There was everything we needed in the apartment and the children loved the pool and sauna. There is also a lovely cosy communal lounge with a pool table and roaring fire (and free coffee). The staff are lovely, very helpful and speak perfect english. We will definitely be back again next year.

3rd year in Samoëns, 3rd stay in Lagrange. The resort is brilliant for families, and all the local services are staffed by brilliantly friendly, tourism aware, multilingual employees. Lagrange itself is great, and having read a few reviews, I'm not sure what they were expecting. If I was to suggest an improvement, it's the check in process. It's illogical. Late in the day (4pm) then you have to queue a second time at 5pm to get the keys? Other than that, we love it. Bring your own pillows, a smile, and let the staff know if something is wrong - they'll fix it if they can We'll be back again.

"More like 2 star"

Came here in Feb half term. Whilst it's an okay place the quality is like you would find in a basic 2 star b&b. Curtains hanging shabbily that won't close . 25 euro for the internet that wasn't available for 3 days in the week ( refunds not available as the company that supplied the Internet access is , I quote, 'nothing to do with us' ) Sleeps 10 chalet with one sofa for 3 people, so don't expect to relax. Tax is extra on top of holiday booking payable locally ? Nice !! Cleaning extra for 70 euro but they expect you to clean the kitchen and strip all beds ( so what does the cleaner actually do ??) Don't get ripped off with an offer by your holiday company to pay 40 euro for a covered parking space. You get one included with each chalet. Plus side - small heated indoor pool that kids liked a dip in. Bus stops outside to take you to the lifts.

"Great Holiday, great resort"
02/09/15 IZZY123479 Harrogate, United Kingdom
We stayed in a 8 persons chalet, this was a repeated holidays and every year it seems that the place gets better with nice duvet and pillows, clean, pool well maintained and temperature in the chalet was perfect not too hot. Bread is available form reception and you can also get set of fondue and raclette. It is a great location for walks in the woods and just a few minutes to the town centre. The chalet is spacious enough compare to other rentals in the village and we find good value for price particularly in high season. The resort is fantastic. Last holiday was in summer and we found it a true beauty and excellent place to stay with the family and friends popping over for a few days. We will go back.

"Perfect location, quality accommodation with loads of local charms."

Third trip to Samoens, second stay in Les Fermes de Samoens. Village is perfect, just right to explore the French charms on Wednesday at the local market. A wide range of restaurants and few cosy bars. As a skiing destination Samoens is special, it doesn't have the crazy night life younger people might want but socialising with good friends in good friendly pubs it most certainly does have. Having stayed in other accommodation in the village I was over the moon with the low price of Les Fermes de Samoens. We go self catering and the duplex apartment had more than enough equipment to enable this. Yes it's cosy, but with good friends it's spot on. A balcony view of the stunning scenery is also a welcome spot for a quiet beer. Communal areas were spotless, plus in terms of location we found we preferred to take the short 10min walk through the forest paths to reach the Ski lift, rather than take the free bus which stops right at your door. Believe me the stretch of the legs after a long day on the slopes is much needed. We preferred to hire our gear from one of the providers at Samoens 1600 (up the mountain), utilising the lockers up there instead of dragging skis, boots etc up and down each day. As with any foreign holiday, putting the effort in to speak the language is well worth it, mind you our French is terrible, but the basics of hello, goodbye and thank you will take you a long way with the locals who are most friendly and helpful. Les Fermes de Samoens does have a "small" pool, which is geared towards easing aching muscles after a day on the ski slopes. Combined with the Sauna and limited Gym your well looked after. Just book out your slot before hand and your guaranteed access. We don't normally need Wifi access when on holiday, after all you're trying to get away from the norm. Though wifi is available at a few euro for 24h access should it be required. Our duplex could sleep 6, one double bedroom, double sofa bed in living area, and a set of bunks. There was four of us, (two couples) and it worked a trick. This place is perfect for a family or a few couples. Looking forward to going back next year already!!!
