Breakfast service was fantastic. Very central to Palermo, we like to walk and were able to go all the way to the Cappuccian tombs.

Booked the hotel for a weekend, it was basic. The bathroom was really small, and it had mold. The room was basic, the bed was firm. Free Internet only worked at the corner closest to the door. I thought it was weird that we needed to give them our key when we left the hotel.... Breakfast was croissants and other pastries, as well as some prosciutto […] and cheese, however, they only put out the prosciutto once a day, do by the time I went to breakfast, around 8:30 am there wasn't any more, they refused to bring more out. We stayed here for 2 nights. It was in a good location to the main square with lots of resturants. If you are looking to go to the catacombs, markets or marina there are closer hotels. We walked a good amount to do the things we wanted to do. It was in a safe part of town and we had an overall good experience with the staff.

Great hotel, great location. The room we had was fairly new and very large, with 2 balconies. The bathroom was narrow but clean and serviceable. The room had an A/C and the windows looked new. Breakfast was decent and the guy who works at breakfast speaks English, as do most of the front desk staff I think (my husband speaks Italian so we didn't speak […] English much). There is a small elevator. THe only issue I had was when we went to pick up our key after going out for the evening, if the woman at the desk was on the phone, she did not help you or acknowledge you until she was off the phone, she doesn't multi-task at all which was slightly annoying after a few times. In order to get the ride from the airport, you must call a few days in advance and then they give you an email address to send your flight info to. We were picked up in a new BMW and our driver was very friendly and was waiting at the airport with a sign with our name. They schedule these pick ups with an outside taxi service so they have to know in advance in order to tell the taxi service, there isn't someone at the hotel who simply jumps in a car and goes to the airport, so remember that. This was a great hotel on a nice quiet street. I would stay here again! Read more

The staff was very friendly and accomodating. We had arranged for a pick up at the airport at 1130 on our arrival date but our flight was delayed a few hours so we missed our connecting flight. I called the hotel to advise and it was no problem for them to pick us up at 1930. (8 hours later). The room itself was very nice and comfortable but the steps were a problem. They told us they would move us to another room in the morning being it was a little late, which they did. We stayed at the Hotel Joli at the end of May, 2011. The beds were comfortable and the roooms were clean. The bathrooms and showers were very small but adequate for us. There should be a soap dish in the shower stall and a hook for your towel nearby. Internet connection was available with the use of a password that they provided. The lady receptionist was fairly helpful although often on the phone! Our baggage was not on the plane at the same time as we were which meant we were without clothing and toiletries for about 27 hours; she did contact the airline for us to find out when it would arrive. On the whole staff at the hotel were polite and helpful but didn't offer any extra […] information about sights or tourist attractions that could be of particular interest to the visitor. The introduction of a file with useful info, in English, could be provided for future guests. We wanted to see the catacombs on Monday and although the duty receptionist helped us find the bus route by the time we found them they had just closed for the day (2pm). A wasted journey and our only remaining chance before flying home. Our room was extremely well serviced and clean, although the bed a little too firm to be completely comfortable! The breakfast was what you'd expect, a selection of fresh breads, pastries, salami, cheese etc. however some fresh fruit would have been lovely too. Again the staff were pleasant and the general look of the hotel was in good order. I was a little disappointed however not to have found the small terrace shown in the advert, it would have been nice to sit away from the hustle and bustle of the street for a short time. I would recommend this hotel to friends planning a visit to Palermo although if we visit Sicily again we would probably fly to Catania for a different type of break. Read more

Hotel is well placed for siteseeing and restaurants. We had a corner room with two balconies, one overlooking the square which is currently being re-paved. My girlfriend and I were extremely pleased with our stay at Hotel Joli (although our judgement might have been biased by the poor quality of the place we stayed before: the palazzo savona). The location is central, the room was perfect, the staff was helpful, the breakfast decent, and there was even a computer downstairs we could use to access the internet […] for free (we got charged 2.50 for towels at the previous place mentionned above!) Our visit to Hotel Joli was a joke. The receptionist didn't even greet us at the arrival, but just threw the key on the desk with no further information, and turned back to the computer. The room was so small that there was hardly space for our two normal sized bags, and a chair that couldn't fit underneath the desk blocked much needed space. The […] bed was very uncomfortable and noisy, and the air conditioner was broken. Extremely noisy, every single sound seemed to pentetrate the walls. The cleaning only seemed to cover making of the bed, since we found alot of dust on lamp bulbs and door strips the day of departure. If you want coffee for breakfast, don't order coffee americane. A scrupulously clean hotel with 'interesting' art work on the walls and ceilings. The 3 person lift actually barely takes 2 and the top floor rooms have restricted head height under the eaves, but otherwise this hotel was excellent. The concierge quickly remembered who we were and serving staff at breakfast remembered our preferred hot drinks order […] at breakfast each morning. The buffet is far more substantial than in many continental hotels and should satisfy British visitors although there is no hot option (apart from hot croissants). Even the cleaners were amongst the most polite I have ever encountered. Mini-bar prices were a bargain, but there were no English tv channels. Aamiainen hyvä, mutta loppui kesken ja sai odotella uuden ruuan saapumista. Parkkeerauspalvelu autoilevalle toimi mallikkaasti. Henkilökunnan englannintaito auttavaa, mutta selittämällä selviää. Sijainti aivan pääostoskadun vieressä ja kävelymatkan päässä vanhasta Palermosta. Perhehuone oli hieman ahdas, mutta pariksi yöksi riittävä.

Helt ok hotel. Vi var tre på et familierom, det var såvidt plass til sengene. Knøttliten dusj med dusj i taket, det var kronglete. Ingen internettilgang på rommet, men det var en sofa i det rommet hvor det var bra tilgang. Fin frokostveranda, og forholdsvis god kaffe til frokosten, som tradisjonen tro i italia består av kaker og loff.

Lorsqu'on met un tantinet le prix dans une chambre, on souhaite au moins avoir une fenêtre. Apparemment, ça n'est pas évident pour le personnel de l'hôtel Joli que ça ne dérangeait pas de nous avoir donné la chambre 104, sans fenêtre, et qui ne correspondait en rien aux photos et au prix payé! (je passe les détails des bruits de toilettes qu'on entendait […] comme si on y était...) C'est juste parce qu'on est allé se plaindre que le personnel (non-avenant et désagréable) a accepté une nuit après de nous changer de chambre. Il y a des hôtels dans les alentours au même prix pour avoir plus de standing, ou moins cher pour avoirs le standing proposé par l'hôtel Joli. Read more

Avendo pagato la camera una cifra irrisoria credo di non potermi lamentare. Ovviamente a quel prezzo vengono vendute le camere meno belle ma la nostra era solo un po' sacrificata in bagno (sottotetto). Me dieron una habitación/cuarto en el último piso y hasta el fondo. La habitación no tenia ventana asi que parecía mas un jaula que una habitación. Realmente no apto para claustrofobicos.
