Hotel staff is friendly and all speak some English, far more than at most hotels. Staff were helpful, but there were several attempts to up-sell me. Club floor with Happy Hour additional $50 a night, limo to the airport instead of Taxi, $80 vs. $14. Taxi instead of subway...Other reviewers recommended the club upgrade, but if you don't drink, or only […] drink beer, it isn't worth it. The appetizers were excellent, but there is a lot of great inexpensive food and beer in the area. The "health club" is a small room that didn't even have a full set of weights, and only two machines. This hotel is hidden behind the Regent & hared to see/find. Very nice hotel in an area of other nice hotels. There is a subway station almost attached to the hotel so it is easy to get around. Forbidden City is about 20 min walk. Concierge can organize tours for you. Be advised that the tour may not end up showing you destination if traffic conditions […] force changes. We enjoyed our stay at the Park Plaza Beijing Wangfujing. Our stay was near the end of their New Year's break and things were rather quiet. The staff was always friendly and greeted us politely. We booked a tour to the great wall through the concierge which we were disappointed in because it was a full day but only 2 hours on the wall. The morning was wasted at the jade factory which is a tourist trap, I would advise to hire a private taxi and get at least 3 hours on the wall, there is really no need for a guide. Of all the Beijing hotels I've stayed in over the last 10 years, the Park Plaza Wangfujing is the best value for the budget sensitive business traveler. It will become my default Beijing hotel from now on. The hotel itself is modern; the room very well appointed (ironing board no small advantage); a good desk; and excellent internet connection--a must […] for me--and included in the room price. Location is excellent--central with easy access to Line 5 of the subway which has quick connections to the other lines I needed. The service in this hotel is extraordinary. I asked the concierge about buying a subway ticket and he immediately pulled out hotel-bought subway cards that I could use and recharge during my trip and return and settle the balance when I left. Getting taxis can be a time-wasting nuisance in Beijing. Not here. I called 5-10 minus before I needed a taxi and one was always waiting when I got downstairs. Moreover, the concierge always wanted to know where I was going and then printed out a map for the cab driver. I couldn't find an ATM in an adjoining building--one of the staff walked over there with me to make sure I found it. I needed help a couple of times in my room, once for a problem with lights, another with my internet access, and hotel personnel turned up within minutes. The Continental breakfast is a great price (about $12). Not least, the room was quiet as I faced a pleasant inner courtyard. Wish I'd found the Park Plaza years ago . . . . Read more

Great location (around corner from subway), near shopping center, restaurants and just a couple subway stops from Tianemen Sq/Forbidden City. Great service by the friendly and helpful staff. It was wonderful! A friend and I stayed there for 5 nights. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. Pretty much everyone; front desk, concierge, door, house keeping speak a little bit of English, not fluent but they tried their best to help and with our questions. There's plenty of restaurant by (inside and right next to) the hotel. The […] restaurants include traditional Chinese, hot-pot, dim-sum and Japanese. We tried them all. Food in all these restaurants were awesome and very very good price. The hotel is right behind the Regents hotel and JinBao building, so it's not visible from the main JinBao street. But once you see the Regent hotel, you know you are there. The hotel is in a nice neighborhood. We (two girls) felt very safe strolling around the few blocks around the hotel at night, after having dinner at the restaurant I mentioned above. Right outside the main hotel entrance is a Starbuck. 2 minutes walk or even less to the DengShiKou metro station. Less than 10 minutes walk to the WangJingFu shopping district. And if you are a car lover and want to see some really nice cars. There are few dealerships on JinBao street. Rolls-royce, Ferrari & Maserati, BMW, Lamborghini and Bacardi. It was quiet an eyeful.
