"Great location, great deal for the money"Reviewed by J. R. F. of "Chicago, IL" on Jan 26, 2010
The Sousse Palace is in a great location, not only a few minutes' walk to the medina, but also in very close proximity to the Sousse train station. I arrived from Tunis with two large bags and was still able to make it on foot to the hotel in about five minutes. While there are several good restaurants and bars around the hotel and on the nearby Boujaffar Beach, the Sousse Palace also offers their own complimentary breakfast and dinner buffet, and the bar in the lobby is a great place to kick back and have a relaxing beer or shisha. They do not have a nightclub but there is a cabaret on the ground floor that is open late; otherwise there are plenty of nightclubs on the aforementioned Boujaffar Beach. The tourist hot spot of Port el-Kantaoui is also a short train ride away. My room was not the most posh I've ever seen but was clean and comfortable, and since I spent most of my time out of the room, this was perfectly acceptable. I would definitely go back to the Sousse Palace, as the rates were very reasonable (though I did go during January) and the location and amenities were great in creating an enjoyable vacation experience.

"Hotel Houria Palace -Kantoui"
We stayed in this hotel in September 2010 for two nights and enjoyed the amenities , food and surrounding area especially the WaterPark. Hwever, on our last stay in June 2011, there has been a decrease in quality of food , service and it has taken on the feel of a hotel waiting to close. The surrounding area is not as busy or welcoming either, whether […] this has to do with less people coming because of the Revolution earlier in the year is difficult to ascertain. However, this hotel will not be one of our first choices should we decide to return to Port El Kontoui. The 'All Inclusive ' option was extremely disappointing - no whisky - no brandy and the bar was at the rearof the hotel giving a feeling of being 2nd class. We have been to many other all inclusive hotels and this hotel has a lot to learn should it want to attract custoimers back again. Saying all that the staff were friendly and helpful . Read more
