"Charming B&B in Outstanding Location"
Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 9, 2009
This hotel was fabulous. We could not have asked for a better location. It was beautifully maintained and the owners/staff made us feel very welcome. The included breakfatst the next morning was terrific as well. The only drawback is that our room was quite small but inviting common areas didn't make this a problem.

We stayed at the Classic Villa only one night, and wished we could have stayed longer. The hosts were very accomodating and kept our luggage for a late check out. The breakfast outstanding, and the location can't be beat. We would definitely stay at the Classic Villa again.

The Classic Villa is a real gem; located very close to the centre of town, the staff were welcoming and helpful, the accommodation was of a very high standard and access to tea, coffee, biscuits etc at any time of day or night was a really nice added extra. Breakfast is included and is well worth leaving space for! Overall, 10 out of 10. I strongly recommend.

We stayed at 6 different hotels during our trip to New Zealand and this was our favorite. Great location, good breakfast, clean & comfortable and we loved the owner. He was so helpful answering all of our questions and we felt like we had made a friend by the time we moved on to our next stop.

Excellent location very close to the art museum and botanical gardens and right opposite a Tram pick-up point or only a short 5 minute walk into centre. Very friendly welcome with useful info and snacks and drinks laid on (and useful 2nd-hand book exchange facility). Room also spacious, very comfortable and well furnished with a delicious breakfast included - all for a reasonable price compared to a decent hotel. We've never tried a boutique hotel before and unfortunately only had one night here, but this personalised experience would encourage us to try others.
