This trip was our second stay at Simba Run. Our single-floor two-bedroom unit was a bit cramped vs. the two-floor two-bed unit we stayed in last trip. (We needed a roll away bed to sleep three kids in the second bedroom. We could have used the pull-out sofa, but the kids like to sleep together in the same room on vacations. Simba Run charged us $25/night […] for the roll away, which also must be original equipment as every bar and spring could be felt. The $25 roll away fee was split in half at checkout. Simba Run should disclose roll away fee prior to checkout. Our unit's kitchen appliances must be the original appliances (i.e., very small electric oven, very small oven space, oven controls that you must guess whether or not they are on, etc.). The kitchen really needs to be remodeled, as the counters are Formica, the cabinets are crummy laminate that no longer line-up or close properly, etc. The nice features/services at Simba Run include the pool and hot tub areas, the Starbucks coffee machine in the lobby, fresh towels and trash service each day, the free dvd rentals in the lobby and the shuttle service to and from Vail Village and Lionshead. I would definitely stay at Simba Run again, but would book a specific two-story unit with a captain's bunks bed and current appliances, etc. Read more

Simba run is conveniently located near Lionshead at Vail. Lots of ski ammenities including a direct shuttle to the slopes. The decor and shape of the units is extremely dates. My unit had a king bed and 2 twin beds. The sheets on the king bed appeared to be queen size, and didn't fit properly. Many of the light bulbs were out or missing - until was […] poorly lighted. Overall very nice, we had a very nice condo, but we cannot say, if all the condos are the same. The shuttle service to the lift and supermarket is very good. We only had to wait a bit longer, when one of the two shuttle buses where out of order, but they fixed the problem within one day. We chose Simba run because it got good reviews, had the features we wanted, and especially because it was priced so well. We didn't expect it to be as amazing as it was though! It wasn't a cramped hotel room with small kitchen, rooms, and living room. It was like staying in someone's home! So spacious! Nice balcony view. However, The traffic from the highway was very loud. Kitchen had a terrible musty smell. No ceiling fans as promised but there was a window fan.

I thought that we got a very good value for the money. The hotel was nice & clean. It facing the interstate, so road noise was an issue, but sleeping with earplugs solved that problem. We went in the summer, and certainly the price we paid was great compared to some of the bigger hotels in vail. It made for a nice getaway.

Slightly confusiing as they have two buildings so you need to pay attention to your room # when you first arrive because you can access both thru the main lobby. It was a very nicely appointed place. The staff was very responsive and cordial. The only drawback was that it is not air-conditioned and we sometimes needed it. Places in Vail rarely need air-conditioning so it is good conservation.

This exquisite condo is very near Vail Village, which is nice. The skatepark in Vail is ok, but nobody ever skates there; I would suggest to go to Edwards Skatepark about 15 minutes away because its a better park a has a much better skateboarder population. If you are fine staying out of Vail Village or Lions Head, this place can not be beat. Large, comfortable space, with every imaginable amenity for a condo. Could not ask for anything more. NOT VERY MANY RESTAURANTS NEARBY AND ANY RESTAURANTS YOU WOULD WANT TO TRY, YOU WOULD HAVE HAD TO PAY FOR PARKING. THE NEXT BEST OPTION WOULD BE TO USE PUBLIC TRANSIT TO GET AROUND VAIL AND TO HAVE ACCESS TO THE RESTAURANTS AT LITTLE COST BUT A MAJOR INCONVENIENCE. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. We were pleased with everything about the Condo and the surrounding area. Condo was very clean, well maintained and nicely decorated. Close to Vail Village and Lionshead. Our first trip to Vail and we have fallen in love with it. On our return trip, we plan to stay at Simba Run.

Excellent condo for the price. Very clean and modern with full updated kitchen which was great for cooking meals. Pool and hot tub were great as was the tennis courts. Only downsides are the traffic noise from I-70 if you're in the front building and paying $10/night for parking per car.
