"The Best Riad in Morocco"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 3, 2012
What a beautiful place- and the staff was beyond compare. We had just had come from El Jadida on a four hour train ride. By the time we got there we were tired and hungry. The moment we walked in we felt we were in a magical place, the staff was beyond wonderful- they even cooked us a tangine for free and a wonderful cool drink. We knew we had hit the jackpot. The breakfasts were amazing, a sit down with over 12 different items plus great mint tea and excellent coffee. The people at Riad Layalina know how to make you feel welcome and also give you your space( In Fez which is so closed in -you need it). Note: Book a tour guide through them- we had a great one.

The hotel is very dirty. Bath rooms are falling apart with dirty floors. When we reached there, there was no one on the reception except a cleaning lady. She put us on the phone with the owner and he promised that he will be there in one hour but he did not show up till 7 AM next day. Looks like the hotel is unattended most of the times. This hotel desereve only ONE STAR or less.
"Clean and convenient"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Mar 1, 2012
Very clean. Not in the medina but a quick walk to Bab Babjloud. The guy at reception wasn't particularly friendly and they didn't have a map nor any clear information on how to get one. My rate didn't include breakfast but Cafe Clock not very far with good breakfast and terrace -- and you can buy a map there for 20 DH. No real hot water but I didnt bother to alert them to what they probably already knew - i managed with the "not cold" water fine. Room heater worked and extra blanket was very warm. Bonus was TV in room had channel 8 which showed movies in English. Overall a very good value and I would stay again.
"Jnane N'zaha -incredibly warm hosts"Reviewed by Miriam E of "The Colony, Texas" on Jan 8, 2012
Our stay at Jnane N'zaha was extremely pleasant. The hosts could not do enough in terms of making sure we were comfortable. The place is not in the city, but removed about 20 minutes. It is ideal to have a car or take a taxi to get from this location to the main part of the city. The rooms are exquisitely decorated, but you'll need an extra cover as the heaters work but like most homes in Morocco do not have extensive insulation. The hosts fed us well . . . breakfast was exquisite and dinner was incredible . . . one dish after the other and everything was fantastic.
"Riad Myra"Reviewed by Ahmed F of "Nashville, Tn" on Jan 2, 2012
Super beautiful riad just inside the gate, very convenient location. Friendly staff, multilingual. Worth for one's money. Only issue was hot water access. You have to run the water for full 7 or 8 minute to get hot water. Water pressure was too high. Riad staff could minimize waste.
