The room was very cozy, clean and comfortable. The view of the Smoky Mountains from our porch was amazing. We had this same view from the bed and from the jacuzzi tub. We couldn't have asked for anything more perfect. I have absolutely no complaints and I would recommend this hotel to everyone. It was well worth every penny!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not a real suite."
We had a suite, however for the price this is not a suite i usually get. It was very small and compact, the sleeping area and sitting area should be in seperate rooms. Was somewhat disappointed with the room. However, the location of the Lodge was great.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fabulous luxury in the Smokies"
Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. Great location in the hills just outside Gatlinburg giving fantastic views of the Smokies from our room and the restaurant balconies. Rooms are luxurious and attractive with all the trappings of a four star hotel. Fine dining available in the hotel's restaurant with reasonable choice of high quality dishes. Would […] not hesitate to recommend if you are seeking a luxury Smokies romantic retreat away from the tourist trap of downtown Gatlinburg.
Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Let it Snow"

Two day retreat were all needs taken care of, and woke up to 5" of snow. Great staff and good food. The highest point in the Appalachian Mountains is visible from all of the rooms, and if your lucky and like the ski resort is juts a few minutes away.
"Winter Rate Special"

Once again we find ourselves at the Buckberry Lodge as our "home base" for hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This time we pampered ourselves and stayed three nights at Buckberry instead of on the trail! They had a Winter special that we took advantage of and it included dinner. The food was delicious! and everyone was very nice and friendly, as usual. We have many more plans in the GSNP area that will include Buckberry Lodge! It is our home-away-from-home in Gatlinburg.

My husband and I had a romantic getaway at Buckberry. From beginning to end it was a pleasant, comfortable event for us. The rooms are equipped with everything we needed, they were clean and well appointed. The staff was so friendly and professional, making us feel welcome and valued. The food was exceptional from breakfast through dinner everything was wonderful. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner. We found him to be the rare type of owner who is personally committed to making sure the guests are happy with their stay. We are planning our next stay at Buckberry and will continue to recommend it to anyone wanting a special place in the Smokies!

Just came back from an awesome anniversary weekend in the mountains. This was my first time to the Smoky Mountains and I could not have chosen a better place to stay. The property is absolutely beautiful, it was the best one that I saw in Gatlinburg. The furnishings are so rustic and unique. We stayed in the Grand Suite (definitely worth the price) We had the best view of the mountains. These rooms were spotless. The BR had a fireplace as well as the LR. The staff was amazing, they started a fire for us on the restaurant patio and brought me hot chocolate and a blanket. They went out of their way to make sure you had everything you needed. They offer a free hot breakfast, which they will give you a container and you can take breakfast back to your room and eat on the dishes provided in the kitchen or you can choose to eat breakfast in their dining room. I loved my room so much, I opted for the room. The breakfast was very good. Definitely not your Holiday Inn type hot breakfast. I wish we would have had more time to stay as we didn't get to explore the entire property. They leave cookies on your bed each day, that was a nice touch. I will definitely be back to this property.
My husband and I stayed here with our 4 & 5 year old boys in the gallery double beds room for 5 nights. Wonderful place!!! Friendly helpful staff, comfortable and cozy rooms. VERY VERY CLEAN!! I have never seen such clean rooms in a hotel before. Daily turndowns with cookies which was a real treat for the kids. Breakfast was marvelous with a wide variety of items to choose from. The kitchens in the rooms are full size. Ober ski is literally a three minute drive up the hill, and downtown Gatlinburg is only 4 minutes away. Yet you feel very remote tucked up on the hill. Beautiful views, terrific hiking trail on the property which was great fun for the kids!
"Fabulous New Years Eve/40th getaway"
Our stay was perfect and memorable from start to finish! The staff was friendly, helpful and went out of their way to accommodate our group of nine couples. The food was outstanding, the rooms were clean, lovely and cozy, and the service could not have been better. I cannot wait to go back next year! Thank you, Buckberry for going above and beyond our expectations in every way and for making our celebration so special. We will be back!
"Feel secluded and find peace among the ever changing Smoky Mountain views."

Nice condo feel room with breathtaking view of the NC Smokies. Rooms are clean and equipped for short and long term stay. We stayed in the Rainbow Falls room, a one bedroom that had a master, living room feel with fireplace, kitchen, nook for small meals and a porch to soak up the mountain view. Rooms service and housekeeping are excellent. If you have any physical limitations make sure you let them know, there are no elevators! The restaurant on premises is small but quaint and provides good service. The menu was small and dinner was a bit pricey for the quality and quantity that is served so make sure ask about that days menu before you make reservations. Breakfast is hot and very good. In all, not as luxurious as I hopped for given the price but in keeping with the area. Definitely recommend.
"I am very very very disappointed"
01/05/15 Jessjesy Kernersville, North Carolina
I was reading the trip advisor reviews for the lodge and the majority of reviews said that the rooms and the hotel is so great I diffenitly disagree! The reasons why I disgree is the room is not very cleanly, the walls have dents and scrapes, there are ants crawling all over the kitchen, the appliances are out dated, and the pull out couch was very uncomfortable! Yes, we did report the ant issue and the lady at the concierge didn't really care and had a what ever kind of additude! My daughter called room service to order some food and the person that answered the phone was very rude! The worst part is that you have to care your luggage up the flight or flights of stairs! My father injured his shoulder for carrying our luggage! The price of a resort but the room of a Hampton inn!! I am very disappointed! Lastly the walls are paper thin so my family heard a woman in the room above us pacing ALL NIGHT in her high heels! Don't waste your money! If you want to spend some money rent a cabin you will be better off

We stayed here for two nights the week of Christmas and had a wonderful time. Our last visit was about 7 years ago and the property continues to be in great condition with a wonderful staff and exciting expansions.
