Great location. You get the quiet mountains with the downtown are being only a short drive. Nice place, friendly staff. The resultant had good food, just a bit over prices for what it was. Our server could have been a bit more in top of it, but over all enjoyable. I would have loved a fitness area. The rooms wee nice and clean. Only complaint about the room was the TV. First it was an old school 27 inch tv. They had it up on a shelf so hight it was Haeckel to watch. They did have a DVD player which was nice. Internet and cell service were apotu but that is common for for anyplace in that area.

It was very cozy, beautifully decorated and constructed. We didn't want to leave. Sleeper sofa seemed a little frail, but over all a great stay.

The experience could not have been better. Everyone, and I mean everyone, could not have been more helpful or friendly. The rooms are equipped with a kitchenette, Jacuzzi tub, fireplace and balcony with great view. Planning to return in one month and can't wait! Highly recommend.
We live close by in a neighboring town, but had never had the opportunity to stay here until now. We came with friends and were amazed at the views from the lodge. Truly breathtaking. The room was nicely appointed and spacious, and the private deck was an unexpected plus. Breakfast was included in the rate and pleasantly tasty. The staff seemed mostly friendly but were often occupied on their phones and therefore unattentive. The blond girl at the front desk, although we didnt get her name, acted bothered by us when we asked for information about a steak house downtown that we couldnt remember the name of. She finally laid her cell phone on the desk and acknowledged we were standing there, but didnt seem happy with the interruption. It must have been something important though because she was still on her cell phone the next morning too when we saw her again. Just a recommendation, might want to take away the phone priveleges so they are more focused on the paying guests.
We booked a premium lodge studio for a one night stay on a trip from FL back to OH. The view was as advertised. I'm glad we spent a little more for the premium room as others had recommended. We enjoyed the fireplace on a cool January evening. All the staff we found to be very professional and helpful. Even the breakfast was quite enjoyable. We'll be back, hopefully for a longer stay next time.
Twelve of us came to take advantage of the winter special. The new chef had prepared the most amazing dinner, five delicious courses, and we opted for the suggested flight of wines. We were lucky to have two bright sunshiney days and our views of Mt. LeConte were spectacular. I have told everyone I know that this is one place in the Smokies not to be missed. And for those of you who groan when thinking about the Pigeon Forge/ Gatlinburg traffic, we were able to bypass it all by using my Waze app. We will make this an annual event!
Although I hate to give away the secret of this wonderful place to others, I would highly recommend the Lodge at Buckberry. From the manager to every staff member they are there to make your stay special. You want wine pairings with each course of dinner-done! You want to sit by a fireplace outdoors- done. Well how about some s'mores while you sit by the fireplace- and a blanket. Done. The place and the people are simply wonderful. I needed to be able to give this place a higher rating.
Stayed here for 2 days from 14-16 Jan 16. Had the best room with an extraordinary view of the Smokies. The room has a gas fire place and a well equipped Kitchenette. No words to explain the Bath... its just too good. The Room gets a lot cold at night due to the cold drafts from the mountains.
Awesome dining experience.
Came for our 10th wedding anniversary. Love the fireplace in the bedroom, and large spa bath. The staff (and other guests) are so friendly. We felt like family right away. The breakfast every morning was a bonus and the perfect way to start the day. Can't wait to come again.
This was our first trip to The Lodge at Buckberry Creek and we enjoyed our stay.
We got our room at a special rate; 50% off with a 4 course tasting dinner, which was advertised on their Facebook page. A lot of places offer "winter specials", so make sure you check for those before booking.
We were pleasantly surprised by the room; it is a suite that was like a small apartment. Very cozy decor/furnishings, a full-size refrigerator, stove and sink with dishes and cookware provided. The view from the balcony was beautiful - mountains as far as the eye can see. The gas fireplace, beautiful (large!) glass/tile shower and separate jetted tub and keurig machine were also great little perks.
The property has a .5 mile trail through the woods down to Buckberry Creek; beautiful! They also have a large pavilion with a fire place, rocking chairs and picnic tables right beside the creek. Several wood-burning fire pits and lots of seating at various locations on the property just made our stay all the more enjoyable.
They will also give you a ride to/from the creek in a 4WD ATV if you don't want to or cannot walk down to the creek. We walked down but were very grateful to have a ride back up the hill!
The staff were courteous and friendly; particularly Kevin, one of the grounds-keepers. He made our stay so enjoyable by going out of his way to get us anything we needed and told us some great stories about the history of the property as well. Kevin is awesome!!!
From the rooms, lobby, dining room, bar, fireplaces and staff. If you want to sit outside by a fire they make it happen, even if it's only 10 degrees outside!!! Just everything was excellent. Wonderful staff!
This is the second time we've been here and we love it. The accomodations are great, the staff is very friendly, and it's beautiful. Love to come here just to relax and get away from everything for a weekend.
