Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa - Las Vegas

I've been to this hotel before and for the price it's unbeatable. The rooms are akin to Mandalay Bay and the pool is great. I had not really realized it was as far as it was off the strip as last time we pretty much just stayed there and did the spa, etc. This time I had some shows to go to and spent almost all our time out of the hotel. It was probably […] a 20-25 min. drive to the strip in a bit of traffic. It's a beautiful hotel and the rooms are very nice. We had the lowest level room but still great. We have a view of the mountains and the pool and the bathroom is all marble, with a huge tub w/a TV, separate shower and divided off toilet. (A huge bathroom.) The only thing I had a problem with was getting a corkscrew to be delivered to my room when I wanted one of the bottle of wine in the fridge. Granted, it was 1:00 in the morning, but it's Vegas! It must have taken 40 min. to get it. This was really the only thing. Otherwise I would recommend it if you have a car. Hi..Thank you for helping us..If I want to say door sound , next room door sound were very noisy..All entrance door close sound of room were noisy..The main hotel lobby check - in , check - out were waiting long time..It was not good.. The resort was very nice and we enjoyed our stay. It is about 13 miles from the strip and the shuttle only runs every 2 hours so getting to/from proves to be somewhat difficult. Our biggest complaint was that we had difficulty cashing out our chips at the casino. It took 30 minutes and 2 casino managers to "approve" the transaction. best thing about this hotel is it's location next to red rock canyon if that is what you want to see. The strip is 25 min away. The room is small. we walked in and my friend said, "can we change hotels?" She had just come from the Venetian. If what you are looking for is something away from the Strip for your Vegas vacation, then this is a good spot to choose. If you come to Vegas for gaming purposes and night life, then I wouldn't recommend Red Rock. Blackjack tables are almost exclusively double deck and cards down. Only one six chute table available, and it was always full. Shuttling […] to and from the strip is both costly, if you return at night, and inconvenient. This isn't surprising, as they want you to gamble at their casino. The TV's in the room are awful, no HD, and internet service is equally as bad. I would recommend the Red Rock to those not wanting to party on the strip, but relax in a nice, quiet resort. There is plenty of seating around the pools, some restaurants (though the food quality varied), and a beautiful spa. Take advantage of the shuttle service, because taxi fare to the airport or the strip runs $40-$60 one way.

For the prices they charged for the room I expected the Wynn's quality, but unfortunately the room was well used, the bed had a dip in it, the food tray was empty, the computer key board had no batteries, the TV remote the batteries were low which made changing channels a nightmare, was just disappointing. Red Rock is a full self contained resort a good distance away from the Strip. I wish I had rented a car in order to make my taxi expense a little less. They do offer a free shuttle to the airport and strip, but the last pick up is 10pm. I love this hotel. They have everything you need to enjoy Vegas. Free hotel shuttle to and from the airport and the strip, a bowling alley and a Imax theater. We didn't have to leave the hotel to gamble, eat and have a good time. I plan to be a regular at the Red Rock!

Our room was great. Spacious, clean and quiet. Our view was facing the strip, so it was a great view at night. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. My husband and I stayed two nights on the 17th floor with a city view. When we checked in they asked if we would like a city or canyon view and I thought that was nice. The view of Las Vegas at night from our room was spectacular! The room itself was quite large. I loved that the shower and bathtub were separate and his and her sinks was a nice surprise. […] A nice comfy king sized bed with an abundance of pillows and we slept like we were at home. The only negative I can see with the room was the shower. My husband took a shower and the water splashed out from under the shower door and soaked the floor. He used all the towels to dry himself and the floor. I had no such issue with the wonderful soaking bath tub. It has a TV so you can soak and watch TV. And I did. It was terrific. Our first night we ate at the Grand Cafe and it was nice. A bit pricey for a couple of sandwiches but the food was good and the staff was very nice. We ate breakfast at the buffet the next morning and loved it so much we came back for dinner. WOW is all I can say. The best buffet we have EVER had ... anywhere! Really a great deal too. All in all we had so much fun staying here we plan to come back. One more thing, the hotel staff are the nicest you will find. Really helpful and friendly! Read more

This is a very nice place to stay, well off the Strip. The hotel is well maintained, not very smoky, and the staff was very good. Everyone seemed happy to be working there. The bed in our room was not too bad, but had two low spots toward the edges of the bed. It is very quiet in these very clean/luxurious rooms - ask for rooms away from elevators. […] Sign up for the players club card, and you will get decent discounts at the buffet. Beware of moving the snacks and beverages inside the rooms - you will get charged steep fees, even if you don't consume them! We were going climbing in Red Rock Canyon so the location was perfect. The hotel is lovely but huge with the casino. We didn't do valet parking so figuring out where to park and how to get to the hotel from the casino entrance was not easy -- the place is huge and the sinage wasn't good. The room and view was amazing. The valet and bellmen were top notch. I checked in to find a front desk clerk with an attitude. She didn't seem to like that I didn't book directly through the hotel. She wouldn't give me the room I had requested (smoking-king). She said there was non available. I went to the room assigned to me. Called the front desk […] manager. She had the bellman move my things back out of the non smoking room . After an hour wait. She got me the room I had originally booked. She was apologetic and made my experience turn into a more enjoyable experience. The key is don't take bad service as a reflection on the entire staff. Red rock is on my repeat visit list. Read more
