Bed was squeaking, loud noise coming from the outside, no air conditioning in the room, $7.95 electric surcharge. dated bathroom, I would not stay here again.

We have stayed at the Park Hotel for the past several years. This year was disappointing all around. Hard bed, noisy neighbors, paper thin walls, water leaks and one staff member who was very rude. The only thing it really has going for it is the location and the cheap price.

Park Hotel is nice with very pleasant employees. Bar was great. Room was satisfactory. Very noisy, could hear other people in the halls and in their rooms. First night, could hear the person next door snoring very loudly, t.v.s and what sounded like dogs barking (I think that may have been the t,v.). I went downstairs and asked for a boxed fan. The hotel was ok at best. Everything in our room and the hotel in general seemed to have a dirty quality. I was unable to get comfortable in the bed and hardly got any sleep the night we stayed. The good thing about the hotel is that it is just a few steps from all the shops and restaurants of hot springs.

When I entered my room, there was a box fan (yes, a box fan) running on the dresser because the AC didn't work. Although the hotel staff acted concerned, they weren't concerned enough to actually do something about the lack of AC in my room. My room was hot, but fortunately cooled down once the sun set. Although the lobby of the hotel was nicely furnished, we were disappointed when we made it up to our room and it was very uninviting. We wanted to take our things and relocate immediately, but talked ourselves out of it. We figured we could endure one night. We were also informed at the front desk that the rooms were not heated and we had to order a […] space heater from the front desk if we got cold. We did due to the temps dropping low that evening. On top of all that, In my opinion, the bed was very uncomfortable and barely sleepable. On the good side, we dined in their small but cozy restaurant in the hotel and enjoyed our selections tremendously, and the service made it a pleasant dining experience. We also enjoyed the civil War museum just off the lobby area. All in all, although it wasn't a horrible stay, I would probably not recommend this hotel to my friends. Read more

I read all the reviews, good and bad before booking this room. For the price, you just can't beat it. the staff was friendly, the room was simple but clean. the mattress was comfortable, the windows opened which was great. the shower had good water pressure and was plenty hot enough. Only two issues: 1) There is an energy charge. This past weekend it was $8.00. That's not a problem considering the price of the room. It was in the low 40s outside and we were extremely comfortable. 2) If the room faces the street, it's really brightly lit outside, so the mini blinds don't keep a lot of the light out. Overall I have mixed feelings about the hotel. The hotel is in a good location. Close to everything downtown. That being said it is old and didn't look like renovations had been made in years. Loved the interior and large porch. Only complaint was 2 flat sheets on bed, instead of a fitted sheet. The flat bottom was not large enough to stay tucked and the mattress pad had no straps to keep it in place, so both continually wadded up under me. It was a sleep disturbing struggle all night.

This is an older boutique-style hotel and not for those who prefer the predictability of the nationwide chains. The owners are restoring this historic property and it is still a work in progress. The decor in the lobby is unique with touches of whimsy such as cupids and angels perched in unexpected places in keeping with the hotel's restaurant which […] is called Angel's. There also is a small inviting bar,free parking and free coffee in the lobby each morning and a super friendly staff. The hotel manager, Jennifer, gave us discount coupons to the nearby Quapaw Bathhouse and our room overlooked a lovely wooded park. The only complaint is that the beds were a tad on the hard side. The next phase of the restoration perhaps should involve some new pillowtops for them or new mattresses altogether. But, overall, we loved our two-night stay in this small, homey and adorable hotel. We actually couldn't stay there. We decided to arrive a day early at Hot Springs and had called hotel for an extra night on room reservations. This was no problem, but when we got to the Park, we are told the heat/air is turned off so if we get hot, open windows or come down to front desk for fan, same with cold/heater. We went to our room which was […] supposed to be a queen, it was a double bed which was so old and worn out, you folded up from wear. No curtains on windows, only 11 channels available for (premier) cable, no heat, air, no counter space, no carpet, it was more like felt from a pool table glued to floor. More like a reform dorm room than a hotel. And yes, we did as for new room and mattress was even older than first one with popping springs and a moldy smell. The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance to all of the downtown area. The staff was great and attentive.
