We were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The room was quite spacious and nicely laid out. Not far from restaurants and quite close to the mall. We would certainly stay here again when travelling through Medford.

The bed was comfortable, the staff was friendly,and the room was clean. The only thing I didn't like was no coffee pot in the room and the office coffee was weak. However, the restaurant in the parking lot was a perfect cure for weak coffee.

The Red Carpet is a pretty typical two-story, outside entrance motel in a blue-collar area. Amenities are few, but my wife and I had a 2nd floor corner suite that was very spacious and comfortable. We expected a run-down room, but we were pleasantly surprised by a large room with two beds, two sofas, a desk, large coffee table and another small table. […] No coffee, no hair drier, perhaps to avoid theft. I booked this hotel for my husband, as our 12 year old grandson was in a baseball tourament. The stay was good. I went with a big group and saw 3 rooms. They were all queen/queen but very different sizes. One of them (the smallest) smelled like smoke but they didn't have any other rooms that we could have switched to because all comparable rooms were booked.

The red carpeted room, like the motel is old, but clean. The king-sized bed is comfy but you might want to bring your own pillow. A large tube-style TV is astride a small fridge and microwave. If you are just passing through Medford, this hotel is fine for the night. Prices are very good. Neighborhood is a bit iffy but not scary. Only real complaints were seriously low flow showerhead and no coffee pot in room. But right across the parking lot was coffee every morning plus a breakfast snack.

The room was clean.. All things inside were in good shape.. The air conditioning worked well and I never ran out of hot water.. The bed in the room was awesome! The staff was very nice and answered the one question about food in the area with accurate directions.. I decided to stay a second night and that transaction was pleasant and quick! The only drawback is the hotel is on a one-way street and you have to drive a couple blocks in a circle to get back to where restaurants and stores are.. That is my only real complaint though.. This motel is a clean, comfortable place for an overnight "on the road" trip. Nothing fancy but adequate. Motel staff were helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again (and have). Surrounding locale is older, but not run down. A good road stop for a long haul.

These people were very nice. The room was good and they were helpful. The room had a bath with jacuzzi jets. Never tried it. The shower needed some Viagra. Only problem was when I asked for an extra hour and the clerk cancelled my key after she consented for an extra hour for checkout and then went to the doctor, leaving me locked out of my room. Not the best motel I've stayed in, and I've stayed in plenty. For the price I got on hotels.com though, I couldn't refuse. I needed a place to crash, hotels.com on my phone was perfect to book this thing in a jiffy and save money. Wham bam, done. The receptionist was nice, and I think her kid was there. After reading all the reviews and seeing that the hotel only got 2 stars...my husband was a little worried. I have to say he was pleasently suprised how clean and well maintaned the hotel was. He even liked the beds and the price. Sometimes you just need a clean bed.
