Melia Recoleta Plaza - Buenos Aires

A Wonderful stay during our visit to Buenos Aires. The location is great, easy to walk to many of the popular destinations in the city, and the staff was very helpful to call taxis, recommend shows, etc. The neighborhood is great, safe to walk around at any time and generally felt like we were part of the local area.

Location in Recoleta is the main attraction. Great neighborhood. Hotel has everything it advertised; however, everything comes in small sizes. Stayed 3 nights. Rooms are nice but on a small side. There is a spa (one room), sauna/steam room (nice), rooftop deck (very tiny), jacuzzi (not real). Breakfast was good, but nothing fancy. This used to be my favorite hotel in Buenos Aires, but is has become old. Internet doesn't work if you have any product from Apple. Room was not that clean as you expect from a boutique hotel. Tv in room is old. Minibar has bottles that you can't open for there is nothing toopen them with. Staff is helpful but I never got connected.

Melia was an excellent selection. I wanted to stay in Recoletta and picked this hotel from other reviews. I would definately recommend it to others. The hotel staff was very helpful, spoke English, and referred me to a number of restaurants in the area.

We were very satisfied overall with this small hotel. Staff were well trained and courteous. Room was comfortable. Brealkfast buffet could be rather overcrowded at peak times.Only slight drawback was the bathroom - small and a bit smelly (drains) on occasions, needing copious use of noisy ventilator fan.

Very nice hotel, I loved it. It has a lot of character and its really good. The breakfast buffet is great... the only bad thing is the shower (very cute shower but the curtain is too short and not wide enough so your bathroom floods a little bit when your showers are a little too long)

It is very close to Aeroparque, the city airport, it is close to most of what you want to see and where you want to go. The staff is always helping out, the day I needed to fly out there was the issue of the volcano, and they kept my room if I wished to stay another night. Walking distance from the Recoleta Cementery, just behind the Alvear and Park […] Hyatt it is located in a great area. It is totally French style, that will be the only undertake if you don't like the style, but the standard room has an excellent bathroom, nice bed and furniture. The room always smelled mahogany which was nice to come back after a full day work. Also in a very affordable price. Just the Health Club cannot even be called that, I have better equipment at home, but the treadmill and elyptic cross over help you work the extra you will eat of "bife." Read more

Very well located and very comfortable boutique hotel. Beds were turned down at night and chocolates placed on pillows (nice touch). Breakfast cappucinos were terrific, but food selections during breakfast were a bit limited. Overall, we loved it and would stay there again.

The Air conditioned did not work for 2 nights in a row, we were at 30° C or more, they checked but it still did not work properly, it was a nightmare even that I opened the window to get some fresh air.

The Melia Recoleta is located in the lovely Recoleta neighborhood in Buenos Aires, near shopping, restaurants, including El Sanjuanino, justifiably famous, and many interesting sites. It is far from the Subte, but with cab fares as low as they are in BA (for an American), it was never an issue. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, the staff was helpful […] and mostly spoke English, even arranging Tango lessons for us (which we loved). It was quiet, and we could open the windows in our room. We loved this hotel! Only quibbles: the computers for the guests´use in the lobby were slow and not always working, and we would have appreciated CNN in English. Read more

Good hotel with a medium price and all you need for a nice stay in Buenos Aires. We expect a little more from Melia' as standard but nothing went wrong in my stay. nice room and very comfortable bed! only the web connection sometimes has a problem.

Lovely hotel in convenient location. Has all convenience and less of the stuffiness of larger hotels in the vicinity. Staff are really helpful and can provide recommendations, rooms are spacious and well equipped. Only one point, plumbing can be loud in some of the adjoining rooms but this didn't detract from the great experience we had.

The hotel is in an okay location. Staff are pleasant but not overly polite. Biggest concern came after we checked out. The hotel added charges to our credit card that we incorrect. Now we have to engage in a long dispute process to have these charges refunded. Best to avoid this hotel.

Für südamerikanische Verhältnisse sicherlich ein ordentliches Hotel, europäische Maßstäbe darf man hier aber nicht anlegen. Das Personal ist ehr unaufmerksam und desinteressiert. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr mäßig. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier nicht.

O hotel, que no geral é bastante razoável, perde-se em de maneira notável praticando um preço absurdamente caro em alguns de seus serviços. Cito como exemplo o preço que paguei no bar do hotel por 3 pequenas doses de cointreau, uma para mim, duas para um casal de amigos, que daria para comprar TRÊS LITROS DA MESMA BEBIDA, repito, por 3 doses minúsculas […] ! Ao reclamar , o barman disse-me que eu deveria ter contestado antes de beber, como se alguém fosse discutir previamente o custo de um drink, após haver convidado duas pessoas a compartilhar um brinde de aniversário. O pessoal é cortês com exceção dos que atendem no café da manhã. São um tanto displicentes no trato, parece que estão ali apenas pra cumprir obrigação. Até para repor os pães são demorados. A localização do hotel é boa para quem pode andar bastante a pé. Caso contrário tem que tomar um táxi, como era o nosso caso. O cemitério da Recoleta está próximo […] e a parada do ônibus que faz o passeio turístico pela cidade (Hop on Hop off ) fica a umas seis quadras. Aliás esta é a melhor maneira de ver a cidade toda e ir selecionando os lugares onde quer voltar. Assistimos um show na Esquina de Carlos Gardel, maravilhoso, e o jantar incluso também foi de excelente qualidade. Vale à pena. Read more
