The bathroom plumbing needs work. The shower spills onto the floor and doesn't drain. The toilet works with several flushings. The carpet badly needs to be replaced. The whole place needs to be thoroughly cleaned.

The hotel needs major uddating. There is mold in the bathrooms, carpets are filthy,. The neighborhood is terrible, it is isolated, surrounded by construction activities and not convenient to anything. The service staff is friendly.

size of rooms, friendliness and competence of staff great; roadwork on Soi 1 presents some challenges for entering and leaving. Residences need to be renovated. Large comfortable rooms; however, most furnishings including rugs need to be replaced.Televisions in most cases are outdated. Breakfast, laundry and cleaning, and personnel are very good.

A resident of Bangkok for 17 years, know Panhip Place from when it first opened over a decade ago, and pleased to see it has retained its original virtues of a quiet, green location close to the Central Business and many entertainment districts. Very large rooms, somewhat dated bit perfectly adequate, substantial breakfast buffet, workout facilities […] and a pool round out this 'hotel-alternative hotel'. Best features are quiet lane which can as often happens in BKK get very busy at rush hour, 15 minutes to the Skytrain and tube; bellhops eager to please and reception speaks reasonable English. I would not recommend the attached beauty treatment place as the prices were stupid by comparision. Otherwise very happy with the place and deal.

I stayed at the Pantip Court for 7 days. The rooms were large and spacious. No complaints about any of the equipment or services. As a matter of fact the service was excellent. From the doorman to the Manager they were extremely courteous and extremely helpful. The breakfast selection was good. The location is a bit hard to find but if you say tell […] the taxi driver Sathorn Soy1 they will get you there. It is very close to the Embassies of Austria & Denmark. When booking, I saw that other comments that the hotel rooms were very dated. That is very accurate. Clean and big, but just very old looking which for the bathrooms, comes off as dirty. The shower drain did not move well so the water was pooled about 4 inches. The hallway had ceiling tiles falling and holes. Stayed here for two nights on each end of a trip to Vietnam. The hotel has a nice lobby with free wi-fi, comfortable seating and a garden patio. A computer and printer is available in the business office. The breakfast was the typical mix of US and Thai food. The bar prices were a bit steep, but we later discovered a small restaurant just down the street […] (walk out the garden entrance, past the spa then on the other side of the street) I think its called Malia - owned by an expat. The hotel has a small gym with a few machines and a spa which I didn't use. I did use the L shaped pool in the garden - it is quite large and the water was warmer than most hotel pools in Hawaii. The rooms were a bit dated but beautiful wood cabinets and a large teak desk. Friends upgraded to a suite and they had wood floors instead of carpet - we weren't there long enough to care but did use 'slippers'. Full kitchen - not too well equipped for cooking but they would probably provide more if you asked. Very large living room with a fair size lanai and a great city view (we were on the 10th floor). Huge separate bedroom with a bed the size of two queens put together - tons of drawer and closet space and a room safe. Large triangular tub and a separate shower with large counter tops in the bathroom. Two TV's but terrible sound and poor reception. If you take a right out of the hotel and a left at the end of the street there is a 7-11 on the next corner on the right side of the road. Just around from the 7-11 is a money exchange that gives a better rate than the hotel (we got this info from the hotel) Not knowing the situation of the flooding we opted to have the hotel meet us at the airport when we arrived at 5pm. The cost was 45.00 US. The taxi back to the airport in the middle of the day was under 300 TB or about 10.00. This price also included the toll fees on the freeway to the airport (about 100 TB). I stayed at the Pantip Court Executive Residence three times over one month and was satisfied with each stay. The staff is friendly, accommodating and helpful. Excellent buffet breakfast with an omlet chef. At other times, restaurant food is good, but service is slow. I did not walk around the hotel area but always took taxis (vey inexpensive) to places […] I wanted to visit. They offer one computer in the lobby with free internet access. We were automatically upgraded upon our arrival and our room was located on the 25th floor. The view was very nice and the room amenities were excellent. The only negative point we would mention is that the decor of the rooms was a bit dated, but in good condition, definitely not really worth dinging them for in our opinion. WE STAYED AT THE PANTIP FOR 1 WEEK, EVERYONE IS REALLY FRIENDLY AND THEY MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE HOME INSTEAD OF STAYING AT A HOTEL. THE BREAKFAST BUFFET WAS AMAZING. MY KIDS LOVED THE POOL, WE ARE THINKING OF TAKING MY IN-LAWS TO BANGKOK NEXT MONTH AND WILL DEFINITELY STAY AT THE PANTIP AGAIN.

This condo style hotel is reasonable and convenient to the subway and night market (currently being relocated). Though, both were about a 10 minute walk, not immediate access. The included breakfast was good and the room was extremely large with kitchenette and complimentary water bottles. Staff is friendly and honest. We actually left our safe open […] one day and the security process validated our contents were intact - not sure a wallet full of cash would be full in other cities. The carpeting and furniture were dated (probably new and modern in the 1980's - oak style). Nevertheless, for the price and size, I am not complaining. Most of the tourist sites were west along the river so anticipate using the subway/taxi/tuk-tuk to navigate to those areas like the grand palace. Pricing in Bangkok is reasonable (when converting to USD) for transport and food. There are a couple restaurants nearby and a small mall for eating options if you do not want to venture too far. We did not eat in the hotel restaurant outside of the included breakfast nor did we use the gym or spa so no comments for thoses facilities. Read more

The hotel is a great value for money. The room is huge, probably more than 100 square metres. There is also free internet connection which is handy. Only downside is that the road leading to the hotel is very poor and dusty. However the overall experience is very good.

The Staff is Great and very Accommodating. I had booked the hotel for 12 days but due to some issue I had to come back in Six days. After talking to the Reservation Department they […] Immediately Agreed and told me that the remaining 6 Days I can Use the Next month when I am back again. I have not seen this in any hotel. The Rooms are huge and great at this price. Similar Kind of properties with Half the size of the room are charging double. Only One suggestion to the hotel. This place has huge rooms! Its pretty much an apartment, which is nice if you have a lot of people traveling with you, or want your own kitchen living area. There was construction on the main road to this hotel, but bikers and tuk tuks can get in fine. Cabs may just drop you off at the top of the road and ask you to walk down, which isn't too far. Or […] if they know the area, they can go around to the other side. Staff was very nice. There are many positive things about this hotel including the very large room (actually a full one bedroom apartment) the breakfast (very nice selection) the TV (good range of stations – two TV’S ). There are some limitations including the distance to public transportation (but taxis are inexpensive) blood stained pillow in the living room (you may […] not be so lucky), carpet needed cleaning and bathroom hair was found. Not too many restaurants nearby but the one across from the hotel is super. All in all there is very good value here and well worth consideration. My wife was disturbed by the cleanliness issues – me not so much. Stayed there 3 times in 6 weeks - rooms are clean, comfortable, and big! Staff are friendly and efficient. Pool is clean and the gym equipment works. Close to cheap restaurants, a 711 store with two ATMs, easy access to shopping and tourist sites. Will be returning.

This was my second visit to this hotel, and time has not been kind to it. Reception services not good kept us waiting until 5 pm to get to our rooms, and then they were still not ready. Problems each day with getting clean towels, again, reception did not seem to get it. Pool was not clean- in the morning at 7 for a swim it was frankly disgusting having […] not been cleaned from the day before. Since it was the hot season there were many kids in the pool. We were really surprised at the size of the suite. It had an enormous living area, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. The bed was super comfy too. With the addition of pull out beds this would be ideal for a family.

Nothing like the pictures, I was expecting a modern room. We initially had excellent service from the front desk and was looking forward to arriving to our room. The key would not work, we had to put it in and out of the door at least 20 times before it oopened and was told that there was nothing they could do to fix it. The room was really spacious, […] but it smelt very musty. The bathrooms were all tiled, and both had mildew in between the tiles and mould on the shower head. The kitchen floor was still grubby around the bin. The lounge suite was old, flowery and had smelly heavy cushions. The boxed television had bad service. I would not recommend the balcony rooms for families, the height of the rail was not very high, I felt unsafe standing next to it. The pool was lovely, but they had a sign saying that it could not be used because of chemical cleaning, although there were people in it? The breakfast had a lot of options but no bacon, but all hot dishes were only luke warm. The front desk staff, the gentleman on the front door and concierge were all extremely helpful and friendly. The free shuttle to Lumpini station was great, but needed a 1 hour booking window. I have been to Bangkok numerous times, I was looking forward to this hotel (purely from the pictures on the web site) but was really disappointed. There are many nicer places to stay. Read more
